Says it all.
Maybe just maybe, when we leave the corrupt EU, we will have the power to do just that , support a worthwhile project that will bring in tax revenues and employment add to our GDP etc.
Unfortunately as we are still in the great Ponzi scheme govt support will not be forthcoming because the govt's hands are tied firmly behind their backs, irrespective of so called official responses.

“DurbanDan : Your not worried about the people of North Yorkshire, your only concern is your own money. Your money is gone just face it and move on”
No need to be nasty or a dkhead ... just to correct you here, I never owned SXX shared before the recent sp drop, I bought a small position yesterday and sold it earlier today so my evening post won’t benifit me in any possible way .. I read the news like everyone else and watched several interviews with the locals ... I felt really bad for the lack of government support for such a great project which could change the life of thousands of young graduates & unemployed people in North Yorkshire....
Because there isn’t a bill !!
PAUL1DEANO - was going to try and explain but as you have no interest in this project I can't be bothered so I'll just filter you :0)
Why should the tax payer foot the bill for this private venture and I’m sitting on losses to!
It goes all against my philosophy the government topping up the coffers, I was hopping mad when the too big to fail banks got bailed out ten years ago!
Petition signed. Currently shows 2,259 need more :0)
LTH(and will remain until the end)
Gold as a uk taxpayer i would rather support the potash project than HS2 or smart meter rollout both of which should be scrapped immediately imv. Trouble is the government are not fans of yorkshire miners ,as I recall.
Your not worried about the people of North Yorkshire, your only concern is your own money.
Your money is gone just face it and move on
Tbh, I didn’t repost the petition for the sake of people who lost money (they have my sympathy) but it’s more about all the jobs which this massive project could create for thousands of unemployed locals and fresh graduates.
Again, please spare a moment & sign the petition :)
As a UK tax-payer I absolutely object to our taxes being used to support what is clearly a marginal, high-risk project. I know what all the LTH's will say...its not marginal ya, ya, ya. Well if it can't get funding from conventional project funding sources (banks, bonds, equity etc) then it is clearly marginal. If you want to get it government funded, vote Labour and I'm sure they would happily nationalise it...
Despite having TorP's in place (which is a simple low risk approach from the off take parties), they do not guarantee the price assumptions in the Feasibility Study - although I know that maybe a surprise to some PI's who have chosen to blindly follow the comments of CF. Subsequently, the government would face being supportive of a project where pricing might not be as expected, which will subsequently lead to volumes being lower and a fairly predictable death slide...
Wasn't CF involved in the funding of Fortescue Metals in Australia ? Weren't Fortescue taken to court for their disclosure of TorP's ? Was CF involved in the funding when all this was going on ?
Guys, could you please spare a moment & sign this petition. People of North Yorkshire really need our help (Every little helps!) :
# Provide Sirius minerals with full Loan Guarantee from HM treasury.
Sirius minerals is currently building a multi billion pound fertilizer mine in Yorkshire which will boost exports and create thousands of jobs locally and nationally. the government as of today will not fully support this project with loan guarantees.
The government will not take a stand and guarantee the jobs for thousands of UK workers in the form of a FULL loan guarantee, all the time companies are currently making redundancies, Jaguar Land rover for instance currently set to make 4000 plus redundant. Get your priorities straight, stop squabbling about Brexit which is eroding this country and fund this project, your country needs it.
