Hi truth, yep all good this end - hope its the same with you.
been a little tied up recently - am selling a second home down in the west country, lots to sort out.
Its been quiet on here - until today, I tend only to post in response to other's thoughts.
People tend to overlook the Energy Division, I'm hopeful that included in the interims in Nov. as well as month on month tonnage from Feb - Aug end - the BOD will put in info on Sept and Oct progress too, with guidance as to the likely full year delivery to Feb 2022 end.
Hand grenades - or perhaps land mines lol. Emm, a lot depends on solutions to the virus moving forward for Aviation.
So no movement on your buy price at 20p, I've been in and out twice more since our last chat. My only question to you personally, and it's a genuine one - why is STOB a buy at a Mcap of £125m but not at it's present Mcap of £165m ? There's not much in it. Considering the potential valuation of it's two principle assets, being circa £1Bn. Simplistic - I accept, there are other issues to consider.

Many decent comments regarding Southend this morning.
It's reasonable to expect STOB to look to consider what is required at Southend against likely passenger flights in and out over the autumn and winter period. Notwithstanding the valuable cargo business that will continue.
I've reminded many here several times to re read the June 4th RNS - it outlines the forward plan for Southend, with cashflow projections. Worst case the BOD provides cash costs on a monthly basis based on zero passengers through to June 2021.
Great to see speculation, and interest from whichever viewpoint. I don't expect much newsflow between now and Nov. when the interims are published. At that time I'll be looking to see that the Energy Division, has been able to return to pre covid levels. Again BOD expectations are available to digest - for those that wish to read them.

"I think these guys have more than Southend airport" They sure do - but anything that will generate the profit and cash they desperately need?
And yes of course they can take other airport business, the cargo they have with Amazon is good, but not sure that there's any scope to generate anywhere near the revenue they need with that business to run a whole airport, military? No real demand for this at Southend, maybe the odd visitor for training, and business jets - there are many airports much better positioned for these. The cold reality is that Southend Airport was losing a fortune before Covid. With the best ever numbers for passenger numbers, aircraft movements and revenue in the 19/20 FY yet they still lost tens of millions. Maybe there's something I can't see? I've taken my hit on this which is nice as I am no longer blinded by the spin and missed placed optimism. If it gets to single figures I will buy in again and see what happens.
An interest but no agenda - it’s a fascinating watch
I apologise if you do not ‘like’ the news but I’d rather be informed than not - better to have a wealth of views than be stuck in an echo chamber. Do what you wish with the information
Birddog816: there is a lot of difference between (say) closing the terminal for 6 hours a day, and closing the whole airport for a few days a week.
But a few winters ago, the terminal would oft be closed when there were no movements scheduled. AIrcraft can still land/take-off (i.e. Cargo, business jets, private & military aircraft and training flights) and do what they need to do without the terminal. Scheduled flights need the terminal open.
Kong is pretty much on the nail here. No EasyJet from Tuesday onwards, with pretty much only Ryan Air, flying average of 2.5 flights a day in Sept, reducing to 1.5 a day from October. Will probably mean that ultimately Southend will close for 5 or 6 hours a day, everyday. No agenda, Just simple economics. There is no magic wand to wave. The airline and airport world is in a dark tunnel. It will show signs of recovery but not until the summer of 2021, even then it will be much supressed on the 2019 numbers. Until then, there is a long and dark winter to get through without the normal summer cash reserves to see them through. Focus on their results and numbers, rather than the narrative of the BOD. Sub 10p or takeover or administration, or all 3 by Christmas. I hope I'm wrong but can't see it.
Well - I guess we will see if it is a scare story or not in time won’t we?
Still no agenda. But happy for you to build one
Yet another un-sourced scare story from Kong13 - no doubt 'talking to pals in the area' again - with no agenda though!
Have heard that Southend airport will be shutting for a few days a week going forwards - reliable source
I'm back in again at 26p. Stob has usually been kind to me compared to a few other shares out there. GLA.
Another Director taking the opportunity offered to pick up STOB shares at sub 30p.
Clive Condie ( Non Executive Director ) purchased 185,000 shares today

My old enemy TF. Long time now see. How goes it? Still going to the ESL bb :)
HZM - Thank you for that mate. Doing very nice.
Financing news Q3 and its lift off.
I think you hold more shares than anyone on that BB :)
Happy with the progress?
...no, but at least they are continuing to fly from to Newcastle & Stansted. Southend is the worst affected by this, along with Stobart Aviation Services that does the ground handling for EZY at Stansted & Southend.

So much for a 10 year deal, that was then extended.
Volcano - guess it's a case of expect the unexpected lol.
If we get a genuine vaccine candidate, the market will pop for a few days.
Then there would be the period of head scratching, whilst the world works out how to get it to all parts of society.
Didn't quite get the dip on "goldies" i wanted to add more this morning.

Volcano - added loads, to my collection over the last week or so.
At these levels i'm picking up more free shares, in a couple of trades, than i probably picked up in maybe several months worth of trades last year.
True they are only worth pennies, but i'll keep hold of them and see what they are worth in say 2024. It's just a bit of fun really.
Wanted my cash back, as i'm looking to grab a few more Gold Mining shares on any more dips. Jeez Gold is still at $1950 - a little off the recent highs, but some of those Goldies are going to have stonking Q3 /Q 4 results.
G
Gerry now you have been greedy lol , same here but only difference is i have cashed in .
That's been a nice little run up from the sub 24p level.
Have taken my profits today, ( top sliced and added to my little free chunk of these ).
Will be looking for another trade over the next couple of days. Be handy if it drops back to the 25 - 27p range, not sure if I'll be that lucky.
Let's see how things go.

I thought 112p this time last year was a good price for stobs, a long haul back from here. Fingers crossed for a steady rise and not too many bumps along the way. Too low to sell up, can only sit and watch, average down - perhaps but it is a long way down and perhaps there are better investments around for some of the hard earned. Take care esp. the LTH's
yes thats good news, always feel better when they put their own money in!!
Nice little top up by David Shearer.
Often with closed periods it's not always easy for the BOD to get decent prices.
i'm guessing he'll have been delighted to have picked some up @ sub 30p.
No doubt he's buying in for the longer term.
Looks like he's comfortable with the ongoing forward strategy as recently laid out.

I’m guessing today will be driven by this news?
Webinar was positive and appears to highlight opportunities recognised and great potential in an otherwise shi_ty climate.
