suspended ...
Is trading on newfield suspended at the moment? When I search for the current share price I seem to get it as at 6th April.
Sure enough, I would use IG too if my provider wasn't able to deal in ASX, bought myself some more sub 6p shares today. WNWTBOOTOTW
Must have IG account lol
Lol I think so too, and findahappyplace has finger on the pulse lol I am just happy for investors to make money but some seem to mentally make the task more difficult than it really is GLA
You actually can refer friends to IG.com and get commission but it's hard work as need emails which people won't want to give out here haha I have referred a few too :P
Clumpet - I think we should ask IG for commission based on the amount of times we’ve told people to open an account with them! :-)
IG definately a good option, I can buy Newfield shares today If I like. Just have to pay the $10 commission I mentioned before. Either way seems fairly easy, perhaps open a free IG.com account before all of this is settled then you can ask for them to be transferred straight away to that account.
I think IG is best option
Thank you for your message. Please be advised that if the acquisition goes ahead then we are able to hold and trade Newfield stock on our platform. This will not be available to trade online and will need to be traded over the phone by calling Dealing Services on 0345 373 3479 between 08:00-17:00, please note this will incur the 29.95 dealing charge and 1% FX charge. You can hold or sell this stock at any time without restriction; however, if you wanted to invest any more then we have a minimum investment amount of 10,000 with Australian stocks.
Peaky - I believe there are a number of factors. 1.) the fact that it’s an exchange of NWF shares rather than a cash offer. 2.) the belief that it’s difficult to trade ASX shares in the UK (it’s already been established that it really isn’t) 3.) Traders/rainbow chasers have gone on to other shares in the interim and will return the closer we get to the settlement date. All my STEL shares are nestled in my IG account and IMHO, sitting on my hands to net a minimum of a 50% return from these levels is more than bearable! However, the choice is yours. GLA
bertie I still might hold after and see how it pans out as I dont think they will be sitting on their hands after take over they will push on getting at those $1b of diamonds.
Also I think you'd be surprised just how impatient most aim traders are so even the thought of 50% increase for waiting 5-6 weeks isn't enough because they believe they can make 100% elsewhere overnight. I think you'll see a sharp rise in the few days leading up to suspension.
agreed 3.14 ,,, it IS a hassle but it's one (in my view) that is worth it ...
is NWF still suspended on ASX?
peaky I think the ASX trading has put a lot of people off from buying.
Hardy 78. Your point on current holders? I have shares. In my view, nwf would have hoped for a better uptake. Most of us have had a punt at this, what is beginning to fester at the back of my mind....... At these prices why are volumes so low if such a no brainer.
In the meantime, I’m more than happy to keep hoovering up STEL shares for less than 6p!:-)
NWF didn’t drop on the results of the update either, so current holders don’t see it as an issue!
correct, that was mentioned in past rns that short fall would be underwritten so no change in process and time-line
makes no difference its fully underwritten
https://www.asx.com.au/asx/statistics/displayAnnouncement.do?display=pdf&idsId=01969926 I bet they were hoping for a better uptake than that. Might possibly explain yesterday's fall. Thoughts.
That’s as per the timetable, though nominee account holders (i.e. HL, etc) might have to wait longer. If you work to the long stop date 31st May, then you won’t be disappointed!
Apologies for the questions and slight ignorance. Just want to check that I'm interpreting correctly. If all goes according to the latest timetable can I expect to trade the Newfield shares on the ASX from 4th May?
