SO, after the election, the new Labour government will be trying to kickstart the economy and getting people back to work with retraining will only be a good thing for Staffline.
That, and with around 5% of the shares to be bought back, will see this share easily get into the high 40's.
I wish I had kept my purchases at 23p but am still up on my purchases.
All IMHO and GLA

Government contracts will only be forthcoming after a general election. Until then, this will be treading water. IMHO.
Can we get up to 35p this week or will it fall back!
If the economy picks up then surely it’s a recovery play
Schroders adding again and now holding nearly 16%.
The movement has been positive over the last couple of sessions. Hopefully more to come.
Schroders add. The share price drops.

A depressingly familiar set of results.
Someone has lost patience and dumped 5 million shares for less than 27p each.
Not today we won't!
Will we take out 38p!.
Great turnaround from 22p
Https://www.share-talk.com/traders-cafe-with-zak-mir-bulletin-board-heroes-weekend-edition-sunday-18th-february-2024/
Will Zak be correct!
I thinks so
My thought exactly. I see no reason to sell at 50p. They will hope it continues rising and confidence returns.
If they could address margins this is worth way more than 50p.
Remember at 50p it was oversubscribed

Great momentum
Has Ellis walked, or is he taking a haircut on his salary?
That is the plan to take this private; Ellis did this at Harvey Nash and will do it again.
It's so clear.
When you look at the percentage share holders actually hold it’s reasonable to say the power is in the hands of the large holders. The fear is without a takeover the possibility of it going private increases.
Yes we’ve had an increase in shares since recent lows but it would be nice to get back capital raise price before plans revealed. Otherwise we may struggle to get 50p on a takeover!. Just one’s opinion
Kosh, I clearly get that, but we can’t know what the targets are unless we’re told at the same time as they have been offered, clarity and openness for all interested parties including long suffering shareholders.
The alternative is awards being offered without recourse.
Depends on what the hurdles are.
To put it succinctly, no profit gain to the company, no benefit to them.
So no visible targets once again but MASSIVE free shares being given away without any checks !!
I can’t see any justification based on the last 3 years of misery for shareholders.
The only numbers going up are the numbers of Senior Management, absolutely disgraceful abuse of positions of power.

Looks more positive
Just checked, .229 to buy £10k's worth.
10% margin between buy and sell price. Wild.
Well, last of the 23p’s seen soon. Around 120k on offer then it’s up near 25 to buy. They’re loading for a reason.
Spain will be at 30% soon...

The act of buying and nullifying the shares has a knock-on effect of increasing the % of Staffline owned bye Henry Spain et all.
They actually don’t
One and a quarter million buyback yesterday at 26 pence. I wonder who the seller is, no RNS.
Maybe it is the company itself selling the shares it purchased for the Director reward scheme , and cancelling them knowing that they dont deserve free shares

For those contemplating investing in Staffline, here’s a comparison with privately owned companies in the same market. (Last published accounts).
Staffline
T/O. 940m
GP. 83m (8.8%)
Profit before tax. 1.9m (0.2% of turnover)
The Best Connection
T/O. 349m
GP. 44m (12.6%)
PBT. 7.4m (2.1% of turnover)
Blue Arrow
T/O 275m
GP. 33m (12%)
PBT. 4.8m (1.7% of turnover)
My repeated point about Staffline’s hopelessly inadequate GP and delusional management is starkly demonstrated by these comparisons. They did well to hedge some of their borrowing until (I believe) the end of 2024 but I expect they will be in real trouble when they have to borrow at current rates. Unless they have a radical re think of their business - perhaps a complete management clearout, before then.

It seems you are also ITK. If only the update disclosed the margins at which this new business was won / bought. Investors would run a mile.
Dire. Yet again. Unremarked in their self congratulatory presentation is that their appalling margins have slipped again. And their future plans do not address this.
Do they even want to make a profit?
Inconceivable that a near billion pound recruitment agency can fail to deliver any sort of result, year after year. I know of many, far smaller and in the same field, who do extremely well. The board needs replacing with people who actually know the industry, rather than accountants.
Half a billion turnover and a net loss of £1 million. I can't help to feel underwhelmed.......again.
The only ray of sunshine is the promise of a better 2nd half of the year. We shall see. The share price is most definitely stuck in the doldrums!

How large do you think the BMW contract is?
None of can be sure given the results From Robert Walters however I personally feel the BMW contract will prove significantly important in the results.
Robert Walters and Staffline are different models and I see Staffline as well undervalued. Also remember the interest Staffline pays was hedged so this could also prove a life saver in the margins. We will know soon but near 2020 lows is unjustified given the capital raise was 50p and we’re in a more safer place. Why else would BMW choose Staffline!.
A wee bit more buying today. Let’s hope they pleasantly surprise at the end of the month
Well I’ve been out all day with some one in management at BMW and he confirmed they were using a lot of agency staff from Staffline. I pushed him on the 75m grant expected for Cowley and he said that was a done deal. He did say something about China not being happy because many cars manufactured there. He also said it wouldn’t affect agency Staff as most production at Cowley will be automated machines so that probably won’t help Stafflines position.
Rsi of 18 is indicating well over sold
You are taking 800k from this business, killing the share price, and taking the shareholders for mugs.
What is the plan for the shareholders to see the price price?
I’ve said consistently that this company is a basket case and feel that the recent decline to near the lowest share price in the company’s history could indicate that the deep structural problems that have been papered over are about to erupt. Or maybe investors are just getting fed up with the hopeless and directionless management.
Nobody buying at the moment even though the share price has dropped the best part of 30% in the past couple of months. What the hell is going on?
Henry Spain buying on the cheap again!
Rsi down to 58 and still above 200 DMA so looking strong for new leg I hope.
Still no news from BMW on the 75m grant at Cowley mentioned months ago. Once this lands we could benefit and hopefully things start moving

Is there any shares left to buy as Henry has been very busy??
There's likely to be a takeover. This company has very little debt and has a turnover of a £billion. With proper management profits can be increased many folds from the current level. GLA
Last post: K0sh, 21 Apr 2023 11:09
I can't believe they have bought so much without push the share price up
Henry Spain now owns just over 20%..
0nly 9.8% to buy then he has to make an offer...
……..but they never do
If you have the revenue you can work on the margin....
Only thing holding staffline back is is tiny 0.35% profit margin on nearly a billion £ of revenue.

All in line with last update. Strengthened balance sheet. As you said not bad in the current environment.
In a better place than 2020
Can't knock those results in this current market... inwards in upwards...
Nothing unexpected or untoward. Let's hope for a steady rise in the share price over the coming weeks and months but that profit margin.....its tiny. Still better than a loss though.

Hi lets hope for good news on dividend and BMW front.
But i don't think we are in talks to be taken over because in February we had lots of insider buys.
Will we get news on dividends!
News on BMW contract!
I think I’ve convinced my self we’re a takeover target
Good luck for Tuesday
Peakyblinder
If I’d had the money floating it would have been me but I’ve only managed another 30,000 in the last two weeks.
Just hope results are good because I feel it’s way undervalued. The wows of 2020 are long gone and time for the Staffline board to deliver and reward LTH who bailed them out. Still nearly 30% below capital raise price!. It was over subscribed at 50p now struggling to clear38p!. Let’s see how next week goes but I’m suspect ing and positive surprise. I’m also expecting news of a news BMW contract at Cowley
I have been thinking that the takeover is imminent for the past couple of years since HRNet bought a stake in lol
I do belive they will buy staf eventually to bolster their revenues and get exposure to the European market. Surely there are synergies they could implement. At the moment they have issues with growth - maybe its time for them to expand beyond the Asian market... Anyway we shall see, I'm here till the end now - whatever it shall be!

It finished above the 100DMA so will we see it finally start heading higher in a run up to results and chase the 200DMA!!!!
Will we get a RNS today. Those unknowns not accounted for as yet.
100% think Henry Spain is buying and the markets are holding share price low to fill the unknown orders. Criminal really but it’s business
Peakyblinder
As I said Tuesday if it didn’t break the 209DMA and head for 50p it could fall 10% and support at 36p. Well sadly the second option has played out but I’ve topped up again on Friday and Will again if it falls to support at 36p. This share is almost 30% discounted to capital raise price of 50p and this week showed how quick it can move. Debt hedged at 1% and Directors buying is great support long term. Results due next month. Fantastic opportunity to get a cheap share
Looks like someone Cleverley topped up with that 153,000 buy. My money is on Henry Spain

Another Announcement. The Directors know it’s dirt cheap. I wonder if the have a dividend up there sleeve’s
Peaky 36o was the key number. Now it’s gone we could head up to 42p quickly.
Yesterday finish above 36p was crucial so hopefully the tide has turned.

I agree, its an odd valuation. I remember FCH plummeting to the 0.3s last Autumn and hovering around there a while before recovering to 0.6s where it still feels undervalued. Ellis obviously thinks it's worth buying so I'm staying put until it recovers to the £0.5s at least.
Directors keep buying and no movement . What will it take to move this!. Surely it’s got to break out soon.
I have absolutely no idea.
But they must have some kind of game plan, no?
Kosh
What do you believe is the end game
Henry Spain must be getting to their endgame soon shurely.

Mmmm, not so sure but let's see..
The rest of the board will follow
I expect he spent more on lunch....
Well done, Albert, Don't stop now.
Peakyblinder
Rising profits and revenue. Confidence from Albert Elliss and Daniel Flint. Fixed interest rates so hedged. Stated dividends and special dividends to be discussed by the board. Volume picking up. RSI below 30 which indicates oversold situation.
This has the hallmarks of a rerate given it only has a market Cap of 55m on a turnover of nearly 1 billion. I think any invested at capital raise price should top up and new investors should hold for growth in 2023-2024 as labour markets and margins continue to get better
Good work Jam..
Henry Spain looks to be buying again with large unknowns or a Director. Strongly suspect Henry Spain
100% no borrowing needed. You can take that
to the bank Albert said.
These are definitely cheap and anyone who bought higher is wise to average down
Peakyblinder
I asked many questions and one being dividends etc given the loyalty of shareholders at 50p capital raise.
The answer suggests a special dividend or dividend will be discussed so not ruled out

Trading view just turned positive also but this can change hourly. I’m always the optimist person but let’s see how this goes
Selling price needs to move up along with buying and more large buys to create momentum. The longer it takes the bigger the bounce. Lol. A bold call l know
Let’s see some big buyers picking up cheap shares. Staffline rise is coming
We agree to disagree but best of luck to you.
We shall see when they update the market on BMW contracts and others that weren’t factored in the last results. Debt at a fixed rate and able to pass on costs to employers. Sorry but I feel those that bought at 90p may have a wait but at these prices and an RSI I am very comfortable. Irish sector flying and Director buys show confidence. I’ll reserve my judgement until update. Either way 37p is cheap for a company with a billion turnover and Mr Elliss joining the board of a company who paid 10x todays price for a percentage of Staffline is a perfect signal a takeover possibility. Just one’s opinion
