oh dear what a monumental **** up I've made
booming today + estate agents+ brickmakers etc but not SRC it seems even after the excellent update! only 15 trades
I agree an absolute bargain, Corona will have an impact on profit this year for sure, but they are well placed to get through it. The asphalt business will not be really affected in the Islands or in South Wales. The diversity of the business within locations and types of building materials is a huge strength. They may even find some distressed businesses to purchase by the end of the year, should they have cash available.
Surely a target now...………………..absolute steal - value is down to the value of Ronez alone, ignoring all other assets...………..
OK Ive just allocated some of my funds in my SIPP into this one.
I did the same with RFX and NWF this time last year and I am 53% and 4.5% up respectively.
Ive also allocated into SDY today, humming and arring over RDW & HAT.
This is beginning to move at last.. Target price for me 90p..
Investors Chronicle report out today with a 60p 12 month target
Seems to be serious buyer here. Are they all buys..
Have added to my holdings here.. Seems to be steady buying at present and still seems perhaps discounted
It looks like a good acquisition that should support the share price. The debt level is relatively high but it could be paid down out of earnings.
Very rare to see a rise after a placing.. I have been invested here for a while. Onwards and upwards hopefully
Hopefully this is beginning to look like a winner for a change..
Huge show of Director confidence today
Pharmajohn, I generally agree with your comments but I'd like to expand a few areas. I have a more substantial stake in another company operating in the field but I've been watching Sigmaroc for about 12 months and just recently opened a modest position as I watch and learn.
The trigger was the recent acquisition of the Welsh quarries and the appointment of Tim Hall. In my book both mark a step up in Sigmaroc's development.
I'm not a big fan of the model that effectively adds a layer of management with the hope of extracting additional cash flows to compensate. It expects a lot of management in identifying suitable buys and in execution. Also, I have been concerned that the level of placements and option activity could overwelm returns to shareholders - at least the private shareholders. The larger shareholders will normamlly get the chance to participate in placements at often sustantial discounts to the current price.
That said, I was encouraged by the recent acquisition and deferred option using existing cash flows. That isn't to say that 'an opportunity' doesn't appear that requires a placing but I sense Sigmaroc is close to a level where the impact may be less dilutive to the smaller share holders.
On the option front the recent announcement of 13m represents 7.5% of current capitalisation, not insignificant, but it is only just in the money.
I agree with your time horizon. If the team performs it could prove to be a good return for early investors.
However, I was disappointed that today's presentation was only open to analysts and very surprised that even the replay isn't available to individual shareholders. I hope the level of engagement with shareholders improves.
My next step will be to read the annual report when it's published.
Decent set of results - been building a position here over the past six months - can see this growing into a big player in the market over the next 5-10 years - decent company with good management which is a rarity on aim
From today's RNS
"SigmaRoc will announce its results for the period ended 31 December 2018 on Monday,16 May 2019."
The 16th is a Thursday. Can anyone confirm the date?
Solid buy!! And a great name on the board
Leaks of next acquisition or people buying in anticipirarion of good results
Massive rise today - anyone any ideas why?
