Good solid genuine business
Very tight free float
This could double very very quickly, was 250p only 6 months ago!
I’m sure DPP has its own board you can discuss it on rather than here
Hi Amersham,
What was your thoughts on DPP as the next potential double bagger, having missed out on SPEC?
Pulling back a bit today ..Profit taking? Still a double bagger if you picked up on the drop.
gld
Will take a look tomorrow
Hi Amer - Another one currently under the radar is DPP (Domino Pizza Poland) that I think will fly with next results publications.
Already have +100k
Next one of these could be THG at current pricing, worth a look - DYOR.
ggrantsu, if it is of any consolation, I have lost count of the number of times that I have dithered and wanted to buy when a quoted business is at depressed level and seems to stay bobbing along for weeks on end only to find the price rocket. A further consolation is to follow the classic rules to run profits.
Sadly, I remain obstinate in not taking losses sooner. This failure is generally more costly than accepting the loss and seeking to make good with another holding. Gains are seldom made by continuing to invest in the same companies that caused the loss in the first place, the moral being not to chase losers with fresh money.
This is now just absolutely soul crushing....horrendous feeling to have been looking at this in the 40s and a fan of the industry. God what a miss...biggest opportunity I've ever missed out on. Certainly don't have the balls to buy in now either as this is now into 100%+ territory in 2 days.
Congrats to all who got in on this....one of the most incredible moves I've seen. It is mental as well....upon reading the TU I actually wouldn't have thought we'd see this kind of rally. Anyway...time to scout out the next oppo.
....and they're saying "feed me your shares"... so I did.
Good luck people!
Cookie just likee
you, banked some profit. I said yesterday that this will be £1 a share yesterday.
Archy it’s got momentum and there’s plenty left in it I knew when I sold it was going to keep going but as you say a profit is a profit and recently been stung on a couple when I got greedy. I genuinely hope it’s just the start especially for LTH
Amazingly well done to those who invested here at the lows. This has been a sour day for me...I'd discovered the business while in the mid 40s and knew the industry well (previously in Luxottica...)...and within 10 minutes thought this could be an incredible recovery play. Dithered though and was unwilling to risk taking cash out other holdings as very cash constrained at the moment. Should really have trusted my instincts but hey ho...
What a result though - and feels like momentum should really be here now for a good while.
Well done cookie .I holding on for more (much more) but always good to have profits in the bank.
Never wrong to bank a profit. Delighted that you have done so well. I hope that your good fortune is repeated often.
I wish everyone well on here but sold up I had a target in mind and over 20k profit in 2 weeks was well above my expectations. I’m sure there’s plenty left in this and hope all holders do well.
Andreas Thanks very much for quick reply.
Hi Amers,
I sometimes use Short Tracker.co.uk for a quick scan of larger UK companies. I am not registered so I don't think I have access to all info there.
I can't say how up to date and accurate things are, as I don't fully know.
I think only positions above a certain threshold (perhaps 5%) are official flagged and presumably there is a delay on these coming in. But it can probably be a guide for larger companies and trends. For other markets there are weekly short lists being published that appears in finance various publications.
They generally provide
Hi Andreas I m fairly new to investing and hold few thousands here. Can you please tell me where I can go and check, if there are any shorts on this stock. Thanks in Advance.
This could be the end of the short selling cycle, as I noted here a few days ago. Its correct that news are important to start a short selling cycle (e.g. a number of investors find a stock / asset overvalued and borrow the stock at an overvalued price to sell it, and buy it cheaper at a later stage to hand it back to the lender). Its important to note: that if short sellers are correct, they become buyers eager to close their positions at a later stage. When the full float of a small company has been consumed in a short period its likely that there is less appetite to borrow stocks (sell), and therefore the exit (buy) might approach. In theory and practice, supply and demand dictates the price of a stock, which in turn of course can be influenced on many factors like news, tactics, hysteria, sentiment, fundamentals, etc.
Its not easy to spot the end of a short selling cycle though, so I could be wrong (as so often). However, if I am correct, the stock can go up further util it finds its correct / fair equilibrium value. If we see positive news in the next report we might even see a short squeeze, when outstanding non-closed short positions rapidly have to be closed - this triggers a short squeeze (hysteria in the opposite direction).
I think DOCS is right in the midst a short cycle now, and I will be keeping an eye on this stock. Its a bit easier to value than INSPECS as there is better financial / fundamental data to follow
Well 80p - Looks like investors can see the latent value. Fair value now I think is circa 100p getting to 200p+ next 18 months. Better than anything one can get from investing cash on 18 months fixed interest rates. GLA
Maybe, but as of now the froth gets frothier!
A good day.
Ago this is £1 share by EOW.
Likewise- I have taken profits from 50p and will look to buy again next week.
