Slug you know I am correct.
The point I was trying to get across that it was a balancing.
The person I was speaking too wanted to understand it.
Supposing I had said that these were matched trades as buys and sells in a single transaction, I would have just complicated the situation.
You know that and I know that
I doubt DBW knows that.
We were a net exporter of energy in the 80s
Cheap and desirable has, coal and oil of which we have hundreds of years worth of supplies still remaining
Imagine unlocking all that wealth (and creating jobs)
Lastly today food and energy security is important for every country.
We are lucky as our environment gives us the ability to do both.
Imagine in our lifetime instead of importing electricity that we actually export it
We are making all the right decisions on renewables and France are reducing the percentage of their mix on nuclear.
I know that in 2022 that they are building more, but this is to replace current capacity, and reducing it at the same time.
There’s a filter feature. Use it
Can you two go and get a private chat room , boring as f**k. Clogging up the solg chat board .
ha …. i wouldn’t bother you’ll find he’s never wrong. filtered the **** years ago when he started claiming he’d never said we would take this to production single handedly ….
If you extend it to the full extent of the chart im not sure how you can refer to it as peanuts. In 2010 it was a 6th of what it is now.
It’s not explained in simple terms. It’s just wholly and blatantly incorrect
But you know that
Slug I explained an uncrossing trade in simple terms but you know that.
Slug, Pbow is correct this is all part of the energy equation.
May I ask you to think about something.
Climate change is the biggest threat to humanity that has ever existed.
However also think about this.
In our lifetime, if we move to renewables, we remove our dependency on Russia and the middle east.
How do you think that would change the world?
I personally think it would change it for the better in so many ways.
I am proud to be part of that change.
I’m glad you’re up front and honest Quady and note that you criticise redknight for not understanding the uncrossing trade. I found this comment you made
29 Nov 2021 21:05 happyharrythefir allow me to try to answer your question.Yes the U/C trade is large for Solgold and on the right side of the equation. However it's a balancing of the buys and sells today and no more. However what is more interesting is the buys and sells today and on the back of that, it is more probable that we may see some upward movement tomorrow if the momentum is there, So with balance we probably open higher tomorrow morning unless we get some rapid selling,
And we couldn’t get more wind even at that high price because it’s not viable. If it was the bids would have flocked in
Have a look at the gas price chart. It’s peanuts now historically
https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/uk-natural-gas
1984 Investor Im not twisting anything.
Prices for Electricity are high because gas has gone up and the way that the UK electricity market is priced is such that if gas price spikes, electricity will spike (and renewables will get paid more). Unsurprisingly though a renewable company will not make an investment decision of billions based on possible spikes in the market, which is why the last auction failed.
Here is a government paper on it.

ScotKio I am not bragging, according to the people on here I am one of the poorest.
I am not the font of all knowledge, I have clearly said on here many times that I have no management experience and have never run a company.
However I have a background in finance, and have spent most of my life as a technical analyst in high power computing.
I have a technical background.
That is why when people are talking about cooperate finance on here, you will find I stay quiet and listen to people like addicknt because that's his area of expertise.
Many on here pretend to be what they are.
I know that Redknight on here talks absolute nonsense.
No idea if he did what he said he did for a living.
But if he did , he was rubbish.
He doesn't even understand the basics of investment.
He doesn't know what an automatic trade is, he doesn't understand SETS. He doesn't even know what an uncrossing trade is. I could go on.
Personally I believe in being upfront and honest.
I do get why I unpopular on here.
Good luck with your investments.
i don’t see it as bragging, i asked for a rough cost and he was kind enough to let us know.
it highlights the exact problem though. 1 in 3 households in the u.k. has less than £100 in savings and of the remainder, vanishingly fee have got £10k spare to fund modifications for net zero
add into the mix that it’s ****** anyway and you can see why it’s never going to happen. let the twits waste their money on it; just done ruin ordinary people with silly, unaffordable green projects
Can’t wait for non dilutive funding news to drop so we can talk about Solgold and not solar panels and milk floats
It was good to see him talk about solar panels. But Allah in turn off when he brags about his wealth and his vast knowledge of all things bright and wonderful. Still not blocked him. He dunt hurt me in any way. It’s funny watching him profess to be the font of all
See that’s what makes you a complete penus bragging about been well off. No wonder no one likes ya
ScotKio I am not rich, Okay just over acouple of million in all counting my house ISA and pension .
That's not rich.
I just cut my expenditure and increase my income by thinking about to things.
You're working from home and have spare time? Haven't you heard of the internet ;)
Then don't get a heat pump, get wall mounted oil filled radiators, some as low as 650 watts.
Very clean and efficient. Ok you need a larger solar setup, but again calculate it.
Also if your house is that big then the setup you get may not meet all your costs, but they will certainly cut your energy costs, with no gas and importing cheap electric between 2-5 am at under 10 pence a unit depending on where you are.
Do the maths.
Also you can power radiators with electric combi boilers, but don't know what the costs are for that, as I didn't look at that solution.
Out of curiosity Slug what are your energy costs for gas and electric per year?
Leave Quady alone Scott, they probably dont have a pot to pizz in which is why they post on here and spout absolute unsubstantiated nonsense.
There's only one thing that is important here and it certainly isn't any of us anonymous posters who clearly are having a laugh with their new found working from home spare time... 😉
ONWARDS & UPWARDS!!!
Good grief Pactrol get your head out of the sand.
Every country in the world has to tackle climate change.
I never got a grant for my solar, but they exist for the poorest households.
So I reckon with grants for the poorest households that they could have something similar to my setup for 10k
Now lots of companies including octopus energy will get the grants for you and if you don't have the money to pay for it, can get finance at around 9.9 percent.
That means over ten years. Around 100 pounds a month.
Now tell me that they pay less than 100 pounds a month for their gas and electric. I don't believe you.
Sure if 6 people or more living in a house then bills are higher.
But can easily support a family of four.
My house is enormous it’s got steep pitched roofing in all directions
It just doesn’t add up! Heat pumps even more staggeringly cost ineffective
ByronBayGold: is the £117B estimate based on the latest PFS I am assuming and Cascabel only or any value attributed to other tenaments and/or the the inferred resource at Cascabel?
