RK, even 7m represents a very small value and given that the largest buy I saw ( obviously I may have missed some) was just under 400k, it doesn't look like your hypothesis stacks up.
Believe me, I'd love to see more institutions come on board and am sure the company is working hard to that end, but right now it looks as if it's retail investors - and that's certainly been the case over the past two days as private punters cash in their recent gains.

"Not sure how much higher a profile we can get Quady.
The world and his wife know bout SLOG and Alpala/Cascabel"
I think that's now the problem !, far too much has been said over and over again, pages and pages of it, nit picking over ever little bit. The world and his wife are bored with it all, we won't see much above 30 until somebody gets a sniff of a take over/JV.
What was the result of the last burst of take over speculation and Mathers stepping down ? A 50% uplift, a decent sniff of take over will see that happen again with bells on.
addickt...how else do you explain the 7 million daily average volume for the 9 trading days up to last Friday (after the roadshow), compared to the previous 16 trading days average of 3 million, DESPITE the election on 11 April?
Also that even yesterday I was being bid firmly for up to 450,000 shares despite it being a down day and previously 600,000...
I suspect those institutions that were buying set an interim ceiling of 30p...
As the Colonel has pointed out "We now have 10m worth of block volume ranging from 31p to 35p."
Trust me, I know there has been insti buying...
Large sell orders back with vengeance, order book dont look good atm
I knew it, I should have sold up at 30p Friday and waited for it to drop all the way back down to 21/22p !!! this is becoming very predictable and slightly tedious. We all know what we have in the ground, we all know that 4 or more big stakeholders know what we have in the ground, Ecuadorian election done and everybody says Lasso perfect winner for mining, Nick Mather now stepped aside, all the elephant in the room news now out.. SO WHY IS THIS STOCK STILL SO LOW!!!! I'll tell you why somebody or group want to get their grubby hands on this company for a song. VERY frustrating
We need the wider market to take a view, as we are only known among exploration stocks, which is a small part of the market.
We are unlike many explorers at the moment, and we need more speculators to take a look at this share, while we make the transition to producer.
Not sure how much higher a profile we can get Quady.
The world and his wife know bout SLOG and Alpala/Cascabel
NM wasn't shy bout letting the world know........
Other than getting on the daily news bulletin.....lols

Hi BNC, we just have no volume.
We need to get this company a higher profile.
and trying to recover this morning I might add ;o]
RK
If I may, I believe the main reason things were'nt so good yesterday is all stock markets were having a down day across the board & led by the Asian & European indices.........

RK, yes but there's no evidence that it was successful in persuading people to invest.
From where I sit there just haven't been enough significant purchases to suggest institutional buying.
Main reason miners less good today...the dollar had a better day...commodities generally weaker...
But it'll be good if we're finally being rated as a copper stock rather than SolGOLD...
As I've mentioned several times addickt...there was a major roadshow exercise 2 weeks ago...
I can never time it right when topping up
Bought 3k worth yesterday
Likewise....time for little reshuffling....always few good opportunities there to take advantage with a longer term in mind....:-)
Sea of red across my portfolio today, but been a lot of nice green days the last couple of weeks so nothing to worry about. Just one of those days.
Wider meerkats coming off recent highs.......
RK, several times recently you've referred to buying by institutions; what evidence do you have for this?
There have been very few largish purchases and virtually all trades are very small, which to me, makes it look like retail investors.
After a pretty good run this is kind of expected. Hit a “level ceiling” being circa 30, some will take and run, then to settle (albeit not too flippin low!) and then on to the next tier/level.
If I’m seeing correctly this is almost a mirrored example taking us back to the end of jan where we dropped down to circa 28, bounced back up to circa 30 and then down to circa 20. We’re now doin* it the other way. So....all being well..... this could now take us back up way past 30, to 33’s or straight up to 35 and then onwards.
In a nutshell, “Relax! Don’t do it! When you wanna bleep bleep bleep” as Frankie would sing
Ok bad analogy.... I think I’m gonna go now before I.......sssh
Plenty of red today across the board, nothing to worry about
Volumes very low...inevitable profit taking waiting for the next move upwards...
Looks like Institutions are still keen, probably with a 30p target maximum...
I am still FIRMLY bid for 280,000, so MMs still want stock.
The 50 day MA has turned up and although I expect strong support at 27p or so, we may see the price bump along around 29p today...
If it falls further it could be an opportunity for those who've missed out...
Next big news?
Regional Updates?
Porvenir drilling news
Small projects J/V (s)
Finally, as I wrote this the price slid a bit more but the MMs are now FIRMLY bidding me for 450,000
With the election out of the way, this Institutional demand isn't going away any time soon...
AIMO as usual...
