Bozi, Sean has a point and one Monday he might be correct, LOL!
But, we will be financed. Just how much and from whom and what format we don't know. Exciting!
We are oversold and have the proven goods for any forward looking major.
Those tenements are crying out to be drilled! They will be when the time is right but, we have an inkling there are more Tier 1's out there?
Where there is smoke - NM and Irwin so calm - there must be a fire?
Something big might be developing behind the doors? Others have tried hard to speculate - DBW, Fortissimo and RK1
We can only live in hope..........!
Sincerely hope we get good news before the world's economies take a severe downturn?

Hi Eish
I continue to speculate…. to the tune of 400k+ shares last week …. Ignore the noise ( me included) and work out whether you believe the minerals are still in the ground, if the institutional holders are selling & if you believe anyone else would like to own this ….. it’s fairly simple when you break it down…. But you have to decide for yourself….. GL
DBW, I appreciate you sharing your belief that this "will come good".
I have no option but to believe the same. I remember Solgold dropping to about 10p and am still here.
It is now about the End Game. As I am not a high powered businessman and can honestly say I do not fully understand all the permeations to succeed. I just hope we as PI's are not "Siriused". But, then Nick has a lot of skin in the business and done deals similar to this before. a track record. That counts and hope history repeats itself.
DBW, the minerals and loads more is definitely IN the ground! No doubt about that!
Good luck to you and all of us!
Hopefully Eish. It really is the critical agenda item for the company right now.
I agree we're oversold but when you have an uncertain market mixed with a funding issue and upcoming management uncertainty, well that concoction means the weakness can extend itself further yet.
Even if we got £25m we'd be in a better position to get past the AGM, deliver the PFS update and PorvPEA. We can then look again at 2023 funding options next spring.
I think lowest equity raise over the last 5 years+ has been 21p but I could be wrong. Market conditions and issues in Ecuador have been much much worse than they are today. On the whole, SOLG are in a stronger position today than they were after the last 26p placing. The share price did dip to 12p/13p when the world was ending after Covid. The DOW at the same time was just 19k. So lets compare all that to where we are today.
DOW still 31k+ today. That's a long way from 19k covid woes. Yet comparables ... SOLG was just 4.5p shy of the COVID low when it tested 17p lows this week.
Volume has been low, no major holdings RNS's from big holders. Just weak liquidity in summer drift market and some flip flappers ... and hey presto you have a stock well undervalued and well oversold.
Keep focused guys.
We won't be Siriused...completekly different ballgame...wasn't even potash...polyhalite...
This has got a 300m - 500m share equity raise written all over it.
Z
How’s that 50% ?
This has got bid written all over it …
Lolol 50% really ?
50% dilution won’t happen in my opinion Q
But even if it does we are still undervalued IMHO
Copper is the wiring that connects the present to the future …. We may not agree on how … but we’ll get there
Hi folks
Can’t recall off pat what SLOG can issue but it will be in the latest EGM/AGM notes
Certainly ain’t billions
Not at home so not gonna look now

Respectful as ever Quady. Your bile and venom really showed through there with no provocation, only a different opnion to you. And all from the person who is constantly preaching goodness inclusiveness and light.
What a nasty piece of work you are. Fasc.ism at work.
I'm sorry ( but no apology to Quasey) I speed read the post and read shares as £'s
It would mean approx 10-15% dilution
And for clarification I meant I hope we have a bid DBW.
Happy to be corrected, unlike some.
Be respectfull of his dyslexia, but woe betide,if you have an opinion that he dislikes. You are then fair game for any insult he likes, mainly about your intelligence.
50m quid placing at 15p = 333.33m new shares.Pretty heavy dilution for not much cash.
This is another reason why we should sell now.
Or do a boliden deal....
Lets face it.. the only shareholders that don't want a boliden deal is NCM and BHP.
All this chatter of equity raises is just nonsense and less and less likely the lower the sp goes.
Of course, if I had sold out at 30p and wanted a 15p equity raise then I too would be banging on about it as a smart idea lol!
There's no way on this plant that Mather is going to allow a dilutive fund raise. He's already proven his desire to avoid such raises by delivering the Franco $100m deal last year.
However, there are two key points that need mentioning as a few on here seem to forget...
1. Royalty stream can only be done for ENSA (at the moment) as secured upon the asset not the shares/listed SOLG company.
2. Exploration funding for regionals cannot be done based on the ENSA asset, is must be ring fenced and used for regionals and working capital etc
You can't blend the two together. Hence why the major shareholders could not agree on the 'structure' of the funding.
So likely that large finance required comes via royalty and smaller raise comes for regionals which of course would be a carbon copy of last year... why wouldn't they do the same again?? It worked last time. Fuch the likes of BHP and NCM... they haven't offered an alternative deal as far as we know and until they do... they best keep out of it.
Fort, I hope you're right but I fear it may be wishful thinking.
After 10 year+ I can't see Mather positioned for 'wishful thinking'. He's too smart for that. Irwin and Mather seem quite happy at present so I think it's more of a case of 'wishful thinking' applying to the two trouble makers in NCM and BHP.
But guess we'll find out soon. No major holdings RNS's for a while suggests all involved are going no where fast and sitting tight.
Fort, just a further point on your comment: You correctly say funding for regional exploration cannot be done via a royalty deal, which means it can only be achieved via cash from an equity raise. In turn, this supports my comment: If we have to have an equity issue it will be done at a discount to the current market (assuming we want cash now) and 15p would not be unrealistic. 50m would not seem an unrealistic requirement, thus my observation stands.
There appears to be few attractive options at the moment - if we want cash a high price will be paid.
Although we do have enough cash until year end.
We know sentiment can change quickly.
smick, indeed we do, but only if we continue with the current regime of not doing any exploration.
That's true Add.
Unfortunately history tells us we do a cheap raise.
Let's hope a deal is being struck or we go for a streaming deal for Cascabel and small equity for regional.
Personally I'm not impressed with current regime and lack of updates while there is clearly news report.
Let's hope situation is resolved soon.
addicknt, equity raise for the regionals is not the only option. They have been in talks with interested parties and strategic partners for almost two years now so don't be surprised if you suddenly get a deal announced on grass root projects /farm outs and possibly some kind of partner deal with Solaris on Warintza drill (surrounding area/SOLG licence blocks etc).
We know SOLG can't continue to fund all these 60 concesssions / licences so they have to resolve this conundrum for the market and investors as all have been kept waiting for too long now. It's not just 'put up or shut up' aimed at BHP and NCM... it's fast emerging the same for SOLG's BoD's ahead the AGM... we've had plenty of 'talk and promises' but zero delivered. So they better have a market pleasing answer for the regionals soon or it's p45's time as relinquishment of blocks is just poor management and loss of shareholder value.
Fort, I certainly agree with your second paragraph. As far as the first is concerned, as you say...it's been two years and still nothing.
