I know folks expected me to come out negative re the rns. I purposely kept quiet so as not to be blamed for all sorts. I think the loan is the starter to the main course which I am waiting to see announced. No way that small amount can do anything but keep the lights on. The implication is that the small amount is intended to tide the company over until they can complete the big event! How is that for positivity?😇
Which idiot started the death spiral thread.
To be precise.
This is a FACILITY. None of it has to be drawn if we dont need it.
SOLG has been negotiating what is almost certainly a substantial n
offtake finance deal and not surprisingly the terms will have kept on improving, primarily as the copper price approaches $5...
Also we are awaiting a couple of permits.
There is a MD&A coming out which would show cash below $10 million and the co wants to reassure the market there are no cash issues.
There is no death spiral.
The likely deal will put an imputed value on Cascabel that is way above SOLGs current MCap.
It would be extremely bullish if the facility has been made available by the potential offtake partner.
The funding deal could be for an amount greater than the MCap as well.
This will be seen as VERY bullish and I would be surprised if it didn't trigger a bid(s).
PS As the PFS3 stated, we had at least TEN Expressions of Interest for offtake deals.
You could take it as read that at least a few would also be potential predators.
So STOP replying to that irresponsible WRONG thread.
Every reply risks unnecessarily scaring people...
Partrytime. I agree it would have been helpful to have more details , however there maybe a very good reason why they cannot reveal more at this stage. Whilst negotiations are ongoing secrecy if often necessary. Agree with you about the constant negativity.
David25 started this headline. He has been a member of the board a very short time and has contributed 25 posts in respect of 4 companies ...all negative..
This shows the true colours of this deramper, not invested in any of them.
The utter nonsense being delivered by a number of subscribers to this board with only negativity their thing is alarming , downright boring but damaging.
Yesterday's RNS should have provided the terms of the facility yes..but the fact it is available is more important.
I am a long term holder of SOLG and my interest is to see the share price reach its potential.
SH, I hope it was me who said it, because it's true. Under the previous regimes the track record was terrible and SC has also made some mistakes. However, I happen to believe matters have improved and we now have a clear view of what he's trying to achieve and let's hope he does so.
Nal, I know this will come as a huge surprise to you, but if you look back at my comments on the issue of the missing 4m and French translation, as well as many other things, you'll see I was every bit as critical as you were. I know you're fond of making stuff up, but you really should check your facts first.
I think you will find hot air is adikts go to phrase when he has no answers.
The unrest in ecuador, hot air. The 4 million going missing hot air. The cfo running to the hills, hot air. The French translater, hot air................
The ceo or cfo, making a statement.
Absolute truth, not hot air there.

You my friend have taken the title from novice.
From now on. You will be referred to as chippy.
Add nothing, but can't help yourself chiping in all day every day.
Like a child, sniping from behind a curtain
"Q, the track record of the company in terms of delivering what it says is abysmal."
I wouldn't worry. According to the posted quoted above, add, it's just hot air anyway to try and explain away the need for an emergency loan

Why BHP might still want a stake in SOLG.
Almostdone, I'm sure you're right. In an attempt to avoid overloading the balance sheet with too much debt, the company has gone for the minimum amount required to take us to the next stage. I guess this means they have a pretty clear idea of the various timelines for negotiating the project financing and the delivery of permits etc. (some news on the CIPA would be welcome) Hopefully the MD&A will provide details of the current state of play, although I'm not holding my breath.
As for the headline of this thread, if the facility merited the description, it would imply there was equity involved i.e warrants/options/placing of existing shares to the lender, and the company would have had to provide details. Given that they haven't suggests no such arrangement has been agreed. However, I'm sure the loan comes with an expensive interest rate attached, but in the scheme of things $10m is fairly insignificant.
My own concerns about yesterday's announcement relate to what comes next, specifically my hope that we don't enter into a jv.
Takes one to know one as they say!
It would seem the jury is out
Stack high is a twat

Welcome to 2024 , times have changed.

Your post stating it's all down to the government, is not strictly correct.
The last agreement they signed with a major, was overruled by the. Ecuador supreme Court.
So when I said a year ago, I expect a profit, but there were still headed winds. And was met with a torrent of abuse. I think events have shown who was nearer the mark.
I was neither a Blackrock stooge, paid by lse, an imposter, or deramper, I didn't crawl out from under a rock, I did hold shares, didn't feel the need to top up on every dip, didn't have fictional friends and neighbors, wasn't chatting to solg by phone. Didn't feel the need to write ditties, didn't need to post the price of copper daily, didn't need to lord it over others, didn't have an obsession with thinking my views, were the only views that mattered.., didn't need to daily forecast a takeover is round the corner.
But appear to be a bit more realistic, than the 8 year ramping clowns.
Are you sure you are old enough to drink?
Just enjoyed a nice £50 Bordeaux, went down a treat
Just as that RNS this morning did for those who understand exactly what is happening and speak to the company regularly
Twat alert x4
The future is bright ..
The future is orange, copper.
Quack , quack... All those ducks are lining up nicely.

"Q, the track record of the company in terms of delivering what it says is abysmal."
Who said this?
Any other errors? Because I've called it right more than most, as you well know.
You got me confused, I fhink
Can't find that post, add?
In the light of your many errors the latest comment is risible. I'm not sure what your motivation here is, but it can't be healthy for you.
As I pointed out this morning, in April last year you posted a comment saying you fully expected action in H1 this year and you expected an offer at multiple times of the then prevailing price. Strange how you now critisise people for believing the same thing.
