Ghia right now my issue is that Macosta is implying SNG is going into administration. That is totally untrue.
Macosta I have reported you for disruptive behaviour. You are a liar. You want to be very careful using terms like you have in recent posts especially if anyone from SNG reads them
Dunk - Equally some sensible posters who dared to suggest the promises of news really soon was toned down a bit got roasted for being de-rampers here.
Surely this should be a wake up call to you all.
I get the sense there is a lot of people emotionally invested here in fact a lot of people have admitted along the way they are perhaps more exposed than they should be here.
I’m wishing a good outcome for everyone involved and hopefully a speedy one but nothing is guaranteed.
Also remember the AGM was not recorded for a reason and no RNS was released prior to the AGM for a very good reason.
No market sensitive information was revealed at the AGM.
Some people are just relentless and won't give it a rest.
SNG and CINE very different, I'm here very primarily to make money. But I also wanted to own a "Covid stock" that could help in some way. SNG was top of my list with it also potentially able to help with many other problems (COPD another). It means that it would be extra sweet to see it succeed.
Macosta you should be ashamed of yourself.
You Damn well.kmow you cannot compare Sng to Cine.
Stop trying to score sone petty points to get your own agenda achieved.
Disgusting person you are knowing many are deep in the red here. You did something similar earlier this week saying SNG is heading for administration. You have zero proof of this. It is a lie and totally inaccurate.
Costs.....There are no words.....
SNG have a positive cash position... CINE are $7b in debt... SNG have the funds
to look for other trials to prove SNG works and not reliant on backers who call
the shots....That is why 4D were not able to see their potential as the backers
pulled out... For all SNG's faults they have avoided debt and that has proven to
be a very shrewd business model....
Good job our BOD have fund raisers every few years otherwise we could be another CINE.
At least CINE have a turnover and a product to sell.
xviolet - Profits and earnings up in first two quarters and forecast to continue growing. Equities can protect you against inflation because they can pass on the price increases to the consumer.
I'd probably stick to the larger companies that will survive the tough times. Rio Tinto, one of the largest miners in the world, has a dividend yield of 11%. Stick to stuff like that, diversify and I think it's not necessarily a bad time to invest.
Bound to be more like CINE. CBX...AAA....inflation, covid, putin etc...and companies that don't go bust will keep placing, CLNs etc...not a great time to stick your life savings in the stock market. Or at least I don't think so. But happy to listen to other opinions.
Doc - incredibly one poster thought it would be good to post "this has been the best short I've ever had".
You couldn't make up the insensitivity of some people and can only hope they get their comeuppance one day.
hope the board is being supportive
This is the guy over on the CINE board.
“My life is over thanks to this shareToday 13:48
Just want to say I ruined my life thanks to the stupid decision to invest in this share and listening to the positive posters rather than the (now I realise) realistic negative ones. Everything gone, my wife will kill me if she knew our life savings had now vanished. So I'll save her the job.”
I’m sure it brings back a few bad memories from Feb 21st. I’m probably over invested in SNG (unless it gets back to 85p+!) but won’t forget that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach when that RNS landed.
Let’s hope this one comes good for us. And that they guy on the CINE board is OK.
Feel for anyone invested in Cine.
One guy on the lse bb is talking about ending his life.
Puts a lot into perspective.
total bloodbath there.. been there many years ago, and there is a fast reality that you must sell everything
Sorry off topic
CINE having a Feb21st experience... Hope no one here in there....Horrendous...ATB!
Doc83... LOL! I just like to mix it up a bit... !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATB!
Not on the notes by the looks of it Doc :-(
Manifesto: "Well when the Protocol for STRIVE is approved by the FDA we will

Please be aware Manifesto's account has clearly been hacked. There were no ...... or !!!! ;)
Palladin - I did not see Jody Brookes at the AGM. Certainly not at the front or answering Q&A. It is possible she was there at the back but I had a glance around the room and didn't see her.
Tattyhead - I do not know why we didn't ask about the futility test at halfway because it was something I wanted to ask. Wigster, was it on our notes? Inexplicable we didn't ask, given I wanted to know... I suppose it was a fairly intense and fast paced Q&A and we simply forgot with trying to take down so many notes.

"SOC is written in the sprinter protocol"
it is - but it in the US at least - the use exceeded the guidleines
Agree with Size82 view & glad for his point that effectiveness might not have been ruined.
SOC is written in the sprinter protocol
SOC is defined in both the NHS treatment guidelines and the NIH (US) treatment guidelines. It’s all publicly available for any of us to read and always has been.
https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/
https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng191
and this is why SNG001 did so well despite Dexa and Remdes
"Real-world evidence of the use of glucocorticoids for severe COVID-19" NIH Jan 2022
Conclusion
The use of steroids in severe COVID-19 reduces mortality only at the dose proposed in the RECOVERY study in the younger population. No benefit of the use of steroids was observed in patients with older age or higher number of comorbidities.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8777321/
SOC during Sprinter is really interesting though and I'm sure eventually the company will tell the whole tale. The regime of dexa and remdes was pretty standard everywhere by the time Sprinter started - with variance about when Remdes was given and as it transpires a pretty big over-use of Dexa in US hospitals
I posted a link on my old account that showed how cliniciains in the States were going far beyond NIH's recommendations with Dexamethasone. Giving it after its EUA to almost everyone who turned up in hospital - when the FDA guidance was clear about oxygen use being the trigger.
Something like this - if the same was being done in other territories - would be enough to impact our trial far beyond what the designers could have expected.
I doubt it Tatty, there is always a base line SoC with trials. I'd be very surprised if the BoD / team weren't aware Steroids etc. would be used in the SoC. I think what caught them off guard was how beneficial / effective the SoC was at treating two thirds of the trial. Importantly, given the 70% efficacy on those with oxygen levels <92% etc. (ie need it most) it seems steroids weren't effective enough and didn't have a negative impact on SNG001 effectiveness. This is a key issue and initially it was thought steroids ruined the trial, but this appears not to be the case.
If we get another nasty covid variant the number of patients needing SNG001 might increase again from approximately 1/3 of patients admitted to hospital (excluding those going straight into ICU).
In hindsight, I think the trial end points should have categorised patients (eliminating the need for a deep dive exercise). I believe not doing this was a mistake and we would have an EUA now.
But again I ask politely .Once the company knew of the additional soc ,would this be price sensitive info that required a Rns to inform investors .?
Synairgen must have agreed on all points and provided additional safety data to guarantee all soc was non detrimental to SNG001 regarding safety .This was a P3 not P2 trial so all safety protocols must have been accepted and possibly in vitro safety data supplied stating remdes and dexy had no adverse reactions .This must have been sorted out out well before trial commencement wouldn't you think ?its not done overnight .
