SSH said that covid is particularly unpredictable, unlike flu and rsv. This means that a new nasty variant could materialise at any moment from anyone infected. The medical world are still very worried about covid and omicron has given people/governments a false sense of security. SSH said vaccine evasion is a case of when not and not if. He also said we are due to a big wave of flu (potentially this winter) as our overall flu immunity has diminished after 2 years of masking and distancing. A significant proportion of covid patients that are hospitalised are also infected by other viruses due to covid impacting their immune system. SNG001 treats all respiratory viruses a patient is suffering with - unlike other covid treatments
Positive AGM overall. Full team being retained as there is so much work to be done and so many conversations being had with platform trials and potential partners. Focus is on getting onto a trial and getting more data - Simon Shaw said this will improve the attractiveness of SNG to BP.
SSH quite vocal when long covid was mentioned. Very excited about the potential for interferon. Phil Monk said long covid data wont be included in first peer reviewed paper. It will follow in due course...
Simon Shaw said their is a head of steam building with conversations 'across the pond'.
It won’t be long before Oakleaf is sent over!
Might've been worth asking what's causing the delay to the Activ 2 results.
NIAID must have seen them last year since they approved phase 3 off the back of them.
Thanks doc for the brief feedback.
No need to know what’s happening on the Reddit board; apparently, in the place where the sun shines they already have the A2 data as they received it before the company did
The SP is just above where it was in Feb. Whatever rubbish is spouted or positivity shared the SP remains stagnant.
SP going nowhere until a TO happens.
University spin off that will not bring the drug to market, as they don’t have the capabilities to do so, imo.
Before you say it, yes I’m still invested for the long term but I certainly haven’t got my head in the sand like many on here, simply believing it will still happen.
No mention of any new Activ trial being put together then?
Thanks Wigster and Doc83
Your doing a great job. Looking forward to your follow ups .
Have a great day.
HPHQ.... My thanks too !!
Thanks guys, all information is welcome and hopefully positive
Thanks Wigster & Doc83 Look forward to your updates!
Thanks for the initial feedback, sounds encouraging, much appreciated
Hi all, just got out of the AGM. I counted approximately 16 investors only, plus a few of the Synairgen team such as Brooke who were sat with everyone.
I’m just having a thorough debrief with a fellow LSE member and will do a full write up if not this evening, tomorrow.
Got to shake hands with Sir Stephen Holgate and a brief one to one chat with RM and Simon Shaw. I personally found it a fascinating meeting. But in summary, I’m happy to hold my shares.
More to come from me as soon as I can write it up properly.
Sit tight folks...not long come out.
A good hour and a half of frank questions, all answered by various members of the Syn board.
Chairman was very good. RM was RM. SSH added some gravitas and answered scientific qs very well
Full report to follow, but came out more positive than I went in...
I thought it was quite positive. I feel more optimistic. There were some great minds on that table and it was interesting listening to them, apart from Simon Shaw who thought was a dipstick
Amazing how someone who describes people as Happy clappy and Plebs
Goes on to describe others as condescending and Patronising
He has to be the most distasteful arrogant person on this board
No he will be referring to the closed group on Reddit.
Annoying that genuine members in here who want to have insights on how the mornings gone, can’t do so. It seems they are keeping the discussion for a closed small group of early investors at the minute.
I am sure we will get some updates in due time on here. Until then we wait anxiously hoping for positive conversations.
Was able to get updates from a couple of contacts attending. Overall very pleased with what I've heard. Patience required but direction of travel is strong.
Anyway....must get back to work...have a good one one and all....
Or maybe due to the 'were going to rip them apart', 'we are going to tell them whats what' and all that from here. People have decided some information they will hold on to and not share with the 'traders' on here.
Just my view...
Lets just say.....winter will be an interesting one....
Lots of good stuff being reported back on Reddit....you would love it Doc
am not talking about Doc83....and talking about the others who were going to turn up with pitch forks.....appears they were no shows....
Doc.....are they? there isnt that many people at the AGM....feel a lot of people who said they were attending may have been telling porkie pies....
Agree Tommy.....but it is also the forum that is like voldemolt....He who must not be named... ;)
It’s not quiet on those forums with people attending, believe me
