Nothing showing in my account today. November's bumper pay out went in 3 weeks late and the December 1st divi is now 4 weeks (!) late....The HSBC agent who is dealing with the problem actually phoned yesterday so I must be ruffling a few feathers. He suggested that SMIF were at fault, so it's become a blame game. I will be in contact with him today as well as pressing SMIF for an explanation - last time they 'denied any wrong doing' (groan) and implied HSBC inefficiency - who to believe?
I'm weary of this; if SMIF are the culprits then respect's out of the window and I will sell up next week and add to my blue chips which have always paid divis a day early ie PHNX, GSK. Investing should be fun and worry free, eh? ATB

I had 2 dividend payments due today (Friday) - HSBC had them in my account when I checked at 1 AM.
It is a mystery at the moment why there is a current problem with SMIF
Again - now comfortably above my average price to give added comfort

I shall reiterate - I have quite a number of stocks within my portfolio and I get virtually all of my dividends paid on time (or early) with HSBC. SMIF has always been a little late but not as late as the last two payments. The problem is with SMIF payments (for the last 2 months). Hopefully the issue that has caused this will be resolved in the near future.
Aye Gold, a poor show from HSBC. At first they blamed SMIF who were astonished when contacted, by both the accusation and the delay. Hsbc then admitted only partial culpability, citing custodian tax complications. Their agent admitted to never having known of such a delay (4 weeks!) and promised to get back to me within 1 working day. Unsurprisingly that never happened as it fitted in perfectly with the cavalier, uncaring practices hsbc seem to have adopted.
I will give it until the new year, as it is a MONTHLY income payment and then regrettably fire up the ombudsman who might be able to shake things up a bit. We all have better things to be doing - what a farce! ATB
I’m a long-term HSBC Shareholder but not for much longer what a shambles the app & online goes down on one of the busiest online shopping days of the year and it now appears there unable to process dividend on or even near the stated payment dates l now have 3 income & dividend payments delayed and Who wants to spend 20 minutes trying to speak to someone ..in lndia. Again outsourcing not working well for customer or investors
Pushing for the divi payment, what a bore. SMIF insist they have forwarded sufficient funds to HSBC to meet ALL dividend commitments, so the fault lies with the broker. So there you have it HSBC, why the delay? ATB all.
A very slow creep up in price, for a current small capital increase bonus on my average price of 74p, to go with the about 10% yield

the main thing is that you receive a monthly income from your SMIF investment no matter what day of the month it is paid.

I get virtually all of my dividends paid on time with HSBC. SMIF has always been a little late but not as late as the last two payments.
Last time HSBC blamed SMIF so let's see what happens this time - I've just dashed off yet another moaning email to Invest Direct which last time prompted a next day payment, hmm. Who needs the hassle? Atb
I ALWAYS receive my divs on. the actual payment. date so it must be your. broker. I used to deal with online . brokers. but. found I spent too much time. and phone calls. chasing dividends. Now I. deal with traditional brokers but. execution only and I have no problems
Another delayed dividend payment for me - this should have gone in on the 1st. HSBC, SMIF, whoever, get your finger out, I've Christmas shopping to do.
😁 Dividend received.
Wow. That is so late ! I got it on the 3rd November but I complained to ii that they made SMIF illegible from dividend investment the previous month however.
Looking pretty stable last few months, even with a rise in SP. Would still like the late 70's to keep the value of my capital.
Cheers and GL.
Just received the final dividend

There is not a problem with HSBC - I have a lot of stocks in my portfolio, and virtually all dividends are paid on time or in some cases early on a Saturday when due on the Monday.
The same problem had occurred earlier this year with another of my share holding l receive the payment 5 weeks late. And again HSBC stated that they hadn’t received the payment 😏HUM.

'' I've just dashed off another 'enraged of Neasden' style message to those ultra polite HSBC chat bots, quaking in their boots.''
you get nowhere with an online chatbot with this sort of thing. I phoned them a week ago, and again today.

Yes, I am also with HSBC investdirect - most of my portfolio dividends are paid on time.
Ref HSBC l’m the same no Div…

''Probably not a SMIF problem.''
it is in my case. My provider is waiting for SMIF to send the payment and they have contacted them a couple of times already about it.
Dividend paid on time as usual. With Interactive Investor. Hope you get yours paid asap.
Where's my dividend? Fingers crossed for monday - I've just dashed off another 'enraged of Neasden' style message to those ultra polite HSBC chat bots, quaking in their boots.
Same problem here Lti. HSBC blame SMIF for not allocating sufficient funds. However 2 weeks plus seems like a long time to get it sorted. Frustrating. Bw
