Stoodio it's on page 36 of the paper copy today.
Fair enough Sirius, I agree.
It may be just wording, but for fear of putting people off and just to clarify, Phil Oakley doesn`t do any "Technical Analysis" on IC or off of it as far as I know; he is all fundamental analysis. Agreed it is good for dipping in and out of. (Michael Taylor is IC`s TA expert.)
Havent got around to TSMM by SC but seen he has been pushing it widely on YouTube and abouts. PO also gave it a thumbs up IIRC.
SLP doing well today so far. Your Bank Holiday prediction is on the money so far V-man.

Phil Oakley's book is a good read with lots of technical analysis, it's great for dipping in and out of. Another great read for me is Stephen Clapham 'The smart money method'. As you say Velo lots of good books out there.

" its £20 on ebay velo, ..."
------------
Eugh too much :)
- Seen it for £13/£15 (still too much for me) over the past year or two on eBay.
For clarity, I agree with the assertion on Phil Oakley's analyst credentials but have zero isues on the Simon Thompson assertion. Both are okay by me.
Found on here, this LSE site, it has been running a tad little hot on the mid price as live prices were on 129.5 all morning although I see it's now in synch at 129.5 (currently).
Today's version of the on-line mag is showing it, so paper version is a copy so I guess yes. Mine hasn't arrived yet but I'll confirm later when it does.
It got published Bazza?
Looks like the mag is doing its belated magic with the late publication of the article.
GLA
its £20 on ebay velo, i think your missing the point, if you've arrived with slp do you really need the book ?
thought it was the electric dreams guy (not a fan)
though electric dreams are more stoodio's area we think :-)
Uh huh.
" On a more positive note, his fellow IC expert Phil Oakley IS the nuts in my view. His books is a MUST. (google it.) "
--------------
Yeah, true; been well aware of his book (and his articles) for some considerable time now.
Will get his book one day - when a cheap offer comes up on eBay, skinflint that I am.
Not in a rush as his analytical methodologies are heavily slanted to further illumination when run through the Sharepad platform.
I'm a Stocko man myself, hence my lack of urgency in obtaining his book. Got too many as is, really.
But will get it, if ever on super-duper cheapo offer, secondhand.
IMHO, SLP does not need STHO.
IC subscribers will (most likely) be Stocko subscribers and SLP comes up in so many screens anyway!
Easy to print "Buy" all of the time.
Am I the only one who maintains a STHO file and then watch the 6% spike only to then see it drift back a month or so later and think okay maybe now I will buy in...?
But not so sure of that.
Besides saying things like "pro-forma earnings" - big red flag right there, (translates as "AS-IF" earnings) STHO is prone to being a bit "lazy". He cuts and pastes from Annual Reports, which is pretty crap if you are not simply coping facts. But he doesn`t, he copies (advertently or inadvertently) management opinions.
Last year e.g. the buy stock was about some UK listed Asian air conditioning unit manufacturer, I don`t remember the precise details. His point was (copied word for word from the Report) was that the local law changes (the market they were selling into) would result in a big uptick, I mean BIG. These guys did green air con.
Only it never happened. A profits warning was published following a change in the law - not in their favour.
That completely smashed the investment case like a china vase in front of an express train.
STHO had never even mentioned any such risk. He just assumed it was a fact, only it wasn't.
Lesson learned there. Thank God I didn`t invest.
Having sad that, if his view brings more peeps in, praise da Lord.
On a more positive note, his fellow IC expert Phil Oakley IS the nuts in my view. His books is a MUST. (google it.)

ST’s online SLP article never made it into the actual publication a couple of weeks ago. However it is finally in tonight’s digital edition. Fingers crossed it will be in the actual physical copy tomorrow.
Well said Stoodio. Not interested in any more pullbacks thanks.
Hahaha, not so impatient!
A few pullbacks on the way cannot hurt xD
Luna no scr ew you I want my £2.35 :)
Darn, it didn't go low enough to hit my limit order yet... we'll there's still hope for a proper pullback. Am I the only one cheering for the occasional discount?
As I’ve says before, shes sensitive and kind and knows how to ride you. Just tickling us yesterday with a nod to where she’s going... no more no less. Spring loaded :)
Nice pullback.... I have a limit order waiting for you baby...
What a day :) £1.50 paid today. Anyone see an intra-day high higher?
Absolutely fine with her teasing and pulling back a bit. The little minx knows how to ride us so she'll tease from time to time :)
I only bought in a couple of weeks ago and averaged up (on a dip) today. I still think it's cheap, even for a late-comer like myself!
All I can tell you is everytime I've sold SLP shares it's turned out to be a big mistake, and I've not sold many in the past. Even more of a big mistake - buying most other shares. There are some smart investors on this BB. Stoodio has called it right here. I also delayed doing my bed & Isa, should have done that a week or two ago, now it probably isn't all going to go in. Should have known brokers are going to take forever to do it. My mistake.
Mark as I said, and weirdly a few confirmed similar thoughts; £2.35 per share is the conversation starter....
There's some clever minds on this thread :)
Let's not forget we're still in deep insult territory here. The slap just stings slightly less now.
Absolutely. why? because it's been a long time coming. and my conviction is paying off, for once. Funny thing is.
WHY ARE WE STILL SO CHEAP? :)
