Wonder how you'll fare at Tescos tomoz. with your dollars......suppose you could sell them in the currency shop first!
Gold futures above $2,200+ this morning!
Shanta Gold must be worth at least 24p (£250 million) on forward earnings and Q1 results just around the corner. Will our institutional investor friends do that right thing and act in their best interest. Not in the interest of Bidco.
I don't tend to conform to the herd and therefore don't equate to why "all" seem obsessed with the $US price.......£GBP price seems to work better here in the UK.....I'd hate to have to convert my gold sales to £US first and then to £GBP......think of all that commission....lol...........anyone got a nice car for sale.....how many troy ounces? perhaps in time?
Correction $2223/oz
ICB888. I still have holdings in PAF, WPM, MTL, HOC, SRB, and some other miners. I thought I had sold all the SHG shares, but found a few more in another account. It looks as if tomorrow will be another big day with Gold just having punched up through to $2023/oz. Good luck all.

Glad I did the "Diana Ross" from 1999 to 2011... and in the right ratio...beats dealing with charlatans! 10 years+ ago (from memory) institutions and I/me were paying 28p to 39p here......and with all we got now...and gold at (ATH)....I mean .....ffs.....
....14.83p? I repeat ......glad i did the "Diana Ross" from 1999 to 2011... and in the right ratio.....Goodnight and Goodluck!
Agree. Gold futures hovering 2,186 right now.
After that small correction with the price taking a breather, the uptrend has resumed.
It looks likely that $2,200 will soon be breached and the NPV of SHG rises again.
Tempted as I am to sell and walk away, the big punters are hovering up the shares and it's not to use them as wallpaper. There's a big crunch coming and PI's that remain could find themselves riding a wave.
Someone one bought nearly 2% of the company in one trade earlier today. This seemed to spark a run of purchases but, the share price hasn’t changed. All very strange.
Watch the RNS news and share price. I am beginning to think that there could be an unexpected turn of events here.
This could go on for years.
Indeed the word "SCHEME" resonates and bounces around my brain....We have been Schemed, Scammed and SHG'd!!!!
and why does SHG have to pay £2.9m in Acquisition fees?........it should be the buyer!
I hope karma lends a hand!!!
Trying to figure out what the event guys like Decagon and Samson do is a dangerous game. They absolutely do buy into these deals. Short term holds, pretty much guaranteed premium, tax benefits etc etc...but don't ever assume they have the same intentions as the little people.
Yes, interesting indeed. Surely they're not buying for a meagre 2-3 % gain to be had from the final offer with a real risk of the offer falling through.
As tempted as i am to sell out, i think i'll hold for the endgame, could be interesting. Voted no both times anyway.
It seems Decagon are increasing their holdings. I've seen nothing to suggest that they are in favour of the takeover.
Surely this is a positive? Another fund who are going to be voting no like us and should be doing their upmost to be getting a good price for Shanta.
To be fair.. this stock doubled since end of 2021 ... not the worst investment in my portfolio
While also voting to remove the BOD and against remuneration for the BOD. i wont be comfortable holding a company that leadership as show clear contempt against its investors.
Yes and wait for a new CEO
So what happens if the revised offer is not accepted and there is no third party offer?Does Shanta just keep on trading with us as shareholders?
Nimrod your ShG holding was a decent size investment in gold. Did you not consider redeploying it in other gold stocks?
Really want to, but decided to take my gains on 448,993 shares and use them elsewhere rather than hanging around whilst the board of directors messes about. Popped some more into British Aerospace, up 24% since Christmas with my first holding, and a few others. Not as exciting as SHG was or some of the other Golds, but better than just hanging. Good luck to those remaining.
I voted in Feb with HL, seems as if not enacted and I needed to vote again
be careful
