I wouldn’t touch this company for another year or two. Grossly overvalued at £10bn
Gents, I thought that last week when I bought but the price is down by more than 100p since then. Guess I will need average down as the latest price seems completely unrealistic. gla
Below 400 is a real bargain ColdFeet im in for some more at these prices
A good call....in below £4 - a bargain in the making
I think your RSI point zstarz is very pertinent......I am sure. It will open up tomorrow but might drop a little soon after before traders start to examine the value that RTO is now presenting at these levels. I really can't see it dropping below 400 IMHO as there is simply to much value in RTO which is essentially still operating on good fundamentals
Now at a daily RSI of 12 - way, way technically oversold. To put into context the RSI hit 20 at the peak of the COVID bottom.
Hope the shorters have done their buying!
This price drop looks horrific but I have worked in the business up to 5 years ago and I know the management team there. The plan will be good along with the execution and the Q3 results were nowhere near as bad as the SP is suggesting. I'm buying all the way now........this will recover just as sharply as it fell I think maybe up to 5.50. Can't see it getting all the way back to 600+ until end of year results IMO
Rollins, the main US competitor, last night announced 3rd quarter sales up 15.2%, margins 21% and with EPS up 18.2% compared to same quarter 2022. No signs of the slowdown that Rentokil management talked about.
Superficially looks like the Rentokil management in US have a lot to do to turn Terminix around, and Board here are not getting the correct information
Bought some more this morning before it sank even lower. Too harsh
If they are selling because they want liquidity then its fine. If they are selling because they know something about RTO we don't know then it time to jump ship too
A lot of big funds are in selling mode at moment so looks like it is also happening here. Bought in Today although need RNS to confirm fund disposal. Hope I havn`t bought a dirty rat....
I was planning to buy back at 590 once the bed bugs started in the UK - I said the pull back was fair considering the situation!
Just waiting for the carnage to end before putting anything inside.
Looking for news too. Dont seem to be any RTO new out there.
What has prompted the big drop today. Seems harsh. I shouldn't have bought last week.
Something spooked analysts in the conference call at 1.30 today.
Well that was the kiss of death, me buying some. Sorry folks.
I'm convinced the SP drop was overdone yesterday. I mean a 20% fall on news that USA figures were marginally below expectations is ridiculous. What a fickle market it is, largely down to gloomy forecasts for companies overall. The Uk market compared to others is cheap. RTO's P/E ratio was a bit high but this is now p/e 22, which in my view is worth a punt. I went in at 4.92 but like many should have waited a bit longer. I'm hoping there's some positive comment in the press over the weekend!
I too was thinking that bedbugs and Asian hornets have got to be good news for RTO (although no one much else).
There have been 3k Asian hornet nests destroyed on the Cherbourg peninsular alone this year, so assume that RTO picks up some of this work across Europe it has to be quite a growth area. The first ones have now also been found in the US so it is only a matter of time before they too have this problem.
Gruyere. Did exactly the same as you. Jumped in early thinking it was hugely oversold. Now look at it. Let the bedbugs roll....
Jumped in at 508 on the news that it would be 'marginally' below expectations- not such a good move. Question as always is do I buy more?
A few traders are being trapped. It's a strange market at the moment shares are going down on good news too. This could drop a lot more or recover no body knows.
I thought it would drop on the trading update but not quite as much as it has. I have been out of rto for a while but it's looking like it may be time to buy back in.
Wow, saw it was 15% down this morning so set a buy at 500.1 expecting support, but it crashed straight through. It must be in oversold territory for such a big company. I hope so
