*rest (not ready)
I get your thoughts PEAKDREAD.
As previously discussed, I’m 60(ish)% in Rolls, ready is over about 10ish shares I emailed you about.
My conviction has always been, and will always be, £7 come Feb 2025 (based on a stupid amount of research I did back on 2020 that most people are here are bored about hearing).
I’d actually be happy with 100% in RR at this moment in time.
Everting from 2020 has been fodder/giggle/pretending to be a cat, and £7 is likely come Feb 2025 as most people should be able to see.
Motive in the madness! 👍
peakdread, how is it possible to think about covid2, putin doing anything serious, a potential rolls-royce engine problem, dear me.
the 1st 2 everyone globally will have a problem regardless of your investment.
the 3rd is pure hypothesis.
an alien invasion?
yellowstone erupts?
i wrote my 1st will as an 18yr old soldier because an assault was imminent and my old hairy **** sgt told me to.
i'm here 51 yrs later.
positive vibes mate
84% RR from Oct 2022, prior biggest holding was 21%. My 84 % holding is ‘new money’ did not sell to reinvest in RR.
5% in tolat losers and 95% in RR until last month where I sold 35% of RR @312p. I have to say I was totally relaxed leading up to results, a big drop I would have bought back in cheaper and I was ok with a big rise.
That's what I like to see Markus99.... a bit of committment :-)
Thanks Hopeful118
RE: "I'd probably sell maybe 25% if I were you but all depends."
Massive FOMO though... You just know as soon as you sell some RR and invest elsewhere Royce's are going to shoot up... :-) So far my diversified stocks are performing but I already regret selling....
Very RR heavy maybe around 80%
30% cash, 30% RR, 30% shares in another company and 10% another company.
I'm just ober 50% in RR although it's basically my only current holding that's up in any meaningful way.
I'd probably sell maybe 25% if I were you but all depends.
Holding winners seems to be harder than holding losers because when I has RRnas a loser I knew that eventually it would come good but now it's up 250% I'm starting to worry about it going bad.
This is the problem with the stock game: It's more about emotions than brains. As Peter lynch said the most important organ isn't your brain but your stomach.
I'm gonna hold out till 2026/27 I think Tufan is locked in till 2027 and I can only see upward movements going forward. Although with anything stock related it's all just opinions and bravery and patience are what you need.
35%
Until very recently I had everything invested in RR. EVERY LAST PENNY. It has served me well and I have done very well... however there's always that nagging doubt - What if Covid part 2 is announced, What if Putin does something REALLY stupid, What if RR announces a major fault on an engine which grounds the fleet....
On the back of these nagging doubts I sold off a sliver of RR and invested in some other shares - Can't say I sold off much - probably less than 5% of my total - but I "thought" it would somehow make me feel better.... It doesn't - I just worry about more shares :-)
The shares I've invested in are good runners with good prospects and I have total faith in them.... but it's just not the same.
So.... to cut to the chase - and I hope this isn't too personal a question - What percentage of your "pot" is in RR - I'm not interested in how big your pot is or how much your pot is worth - I just thought it would be interesting to see how many on the board are ignoring the principal rule of investing and putting all their money on black.... As I've said, it's worked out great for me - I gradually transitioned to RR over a period of 6 months as I saw my RR shares doing very well and my other shares just doing OK... I thought you only live once... what's the worst that can happen.....sold off all my other shares and went 100% RR about a year ago. Having recently "diversified" I'm already thinking about selling my new shares and re-investing in RR... I actually miss just following one share :-)
With a little research you can see that the typhoons will be replaced by the new Tempest from what I can glean. The joint treaty is here:-https://www.rolls-royce.com/media/our-stories/discover/2023/rolls-royce-welcomes-trilateral-gcap-treaty.aspx

and the Team Tempest working with RAF - https://www.rolls-royce.com/products-and-services/defence/future_combat_air_capability/tempest.aspx
All got to be good news and more for the pipeline of incoming work for a world leading company
It's 375 now
Get a life mystic meg, why do you feel the need to insert yourself into others conversations? Are you insecure? Attention seeking? Which ever it is.. I don't have any desire for your childish passive aggressive nonsense
Taverham you had me thinking for a moment I wrongly thought the issue price had been £ 1.00 but after digging deeper it was issued in May 1987 at £1.65 per share remember the grey dealings prices brokers used to offer while allotments were being scaled up and down fun time that period of privatisation issues. I like your target of £ 4.68 and wonder if that price includes all the right issues/scrips and bonus shares and the last share issue in 2020?
My target was to get as close to worry free investing as I could. That was my only target and I reached that yesterday. Now I can sit back and relax , (as much as investing in the stock market allows)
Taverham it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who bought into RR in 1987 well done I hope you have bought and sold over the decades and earned plenty of profit ,good luck with your future forecast 👍
Or asking for too much?
Well I bought at privatisation 37 years ago for £1.70 and was hoping the sp might catch up with inflation which equates to £4.68 as of Jan this year. Am I being impatient?
Mine is May 26 - in line with retiring from present job. Pending WW3, I'll let it ride at least until then and not worry about SP or profit taking.
Like i said. This board gets crazier by the day.
Once again you have confirmed that statement!
Happy Friday! Go for a walk and get some fresh air!
£7 (a cat told me...) :-)
I think this year it has the potential to push close to £6 (SMR / BBB rating / Dividends / higher ratings / etc, etc)
410p but will re-evaluate if and when that happens ..
What are people's targets for RR.?
