Hazard identification is simply risk assessment, not really any need to disclose this as it’s mandatory for any task let alone a new trial. Operability studies will be copy and paste of the Msar studies of 2017
This is a really interesting technology.. Turning sludge into emulsion which can then be used as fuel? I'm wondering what other feedstocks could be tested and turned into a fuel emulsion?
Are QFI a similar company to compactGTL? They also refine fuels, but more-so from gas i believe.
What would happen if QFI further refined the products produced by Eqtec and CompactGTL?

Testing of Bio MSAR didnt take place during the Maersk trials
Not much change in the SP as even thought the Watsilla results are a positive it looks like the goasl posts have been changed with further testing required before the trail starts.
Certainly looks like the trials won't be starting in Q2, and we'll be stumping up cash in a fund raise before they do. All too predictable.
look at us a whopping 3% up hahaha
"Still at the same point as we were years back on this.
Not really, I liken this to a POC for BioMSAR, so definitely a new hurdle overcome
Yet MORE tests ? Further assessment? How long has the product been around for and you're still testing and assessing? You're going to run out of money soon Jason if you carry on like this FFS.
Semaphore. We would all like a date. This testing on the Wartsila engines was done years back on Maersk until a buoy was hit!, Results then were all positive. Still at the same point as we were years back on this.
"So tests complete enabling us to do more tests... but WHEN?!"
Indeed. It's a tough one. I'd like a date. But I'd also like a real date not a date that turns out to be nonsense.
"The extensive tests undertaken by Wärtsilä clearly demonstrate the suitability of bioMSAR™ for use in both marine and power plant applications. "
"Wouldn't surprise me if this info was the sticking point for that"
"I'm not even thinking about supplying a fuel with no approved customers" is certainly I can imagine someone having said.
There is no pleaseing some people
this is a step in the right direction
get. grip
good times
Gosh im so existe
Good results but we were given the impression all the testing required was to be completed thiis quarter :
From the January business update :
· bioMSAR™ and Blend-on-Board - Following successful completion of the bioMSAR™ tests in Italy in December 2022, Wärtsilä is now finalising the test reports which will be available for commercial purposes in Q1 2023. Separately, work continues under the Joint Development Agreement with Vertoro to investigate the use of their Crude Sugar Oils as an alternative biofuel feedstock for bioMSAR™, costs for which are now supported by the EU Innovation Fund.
Liklihood is the fuel supply agreement can now be finalised and signed as the fuel has now been cleared. Wouldn't surprise me if this info was the sticking point for that
These are really excellent results from Wartsila! This is great news!
The Company is pleased to confirm that, as a result of these test results, bioMSAR™ can proceed to the next phase of assessment, with hazard identification and operability studies now scheduled ahead of commercial vessel testing on the MSC Leandra.
So tests complete enabling us to do more tests... but WHEN?!
Planned vessel trials with MSC for both MSAR® and bioMSAR™ later this year."
NO dates given ?????
Delay ?
Looks like a funding first what a joke
Fantastic news.. I have no doubt bioMSAR will be the chosen option when tests are complete hopefully in my life time.

Quadrise Fuels International Plc ("Quadrise" or the "Company")
Wärtsilä Testing Update
Quadrise Fuels International Plc (AIM:QFI), the supplier of innovative energy solutions for a cleaner planet, provides the following update further to the Company's announcement of 16 January 2023, on the testing of its bioMSAR™ fuel carried out by Wärtsilä Services Switzerland ("Wärtsilä") in December 2022.
As part of Quadrise's ongoing Framework Agreement with MSC Shipmanagement, optical combustion and engine wear tests of bioMSAR™ were carried out as a necessary precursor to commercial-scale vessel trials.
The optical combustion test, against MSAR® and diesel fuels, has confirmed bioMSAR™ to have similar injection and combustion properties as MSAR® and that bioMSAR™ is therefore expected to behave similarly to MSAR® when utilised in medium and slow-speed diesel engines.
Extended wear tests over a 250 hour period were also completed successfully.
The Company is pleased to confirm that, as a result of these test results, bioMSAR™ can proceed to the next phase of assessment, with hazard identification and operability studies now scheduled ahead of commercial vessel testing on the MSC Leandra and further announcements will be made, as appropriate, in due course.
Jason Miles, Chief Executive of Quadrise, commented:
"The extensive tests undertaken by Wärtsilä clearly demonstrate the suitability of bioMSAR™ for use in both marine and power plant applications. This is an important step in clearing the fuel for commercial supply and we look forward to progressing our final round of tests ahead of planned vessel trials with MSC for both MSAR® and bioMSAR™ later this year."
wahooooo !!!
Elaborate... please.
Throughout the trading day, auctions are held. This is a 30 second event where an algorithm attempts to match orders entered into the book to "uncross" them or execute them and thus determine a price. Most of the time this is successful. Sometimes, liquidity isn't there so that auction is extended by an additional 5 minutes and an automated RNS is released to notify market participants that this is happening and gives them a chance to reconsider their book order and raise it, lower it or remove it altogether.
