I've no doubt that EVs are increasing sales at a vast rate and will continue to make up a bigger and bigger proportion of total vehicle sales until new IC cars sales are banned. However I am yet to be convinced that PODP will ever see much profit as BP & Shell seem to be getting in on the act and have massively deeper pockets. We shall see, I have a modest investment here but I don't feel incentivised to increase it at present.
What's the betting it opens 10p down on the bid & then recovers again later. Back on board & hoping for good news. All these rail strikes will start to make people reconsider the motor (EV) car again.
22% down in 5 days. That's a bit alarming
What RNS?
Who the hell releases a good news RNS in a falling market at 4.49 on a Friday??
Surely they could have waited till this morning when it’s effect may have been more beneficial!!

the huge spread is back...
Finally, some semblance of order has returned to the trading.
DT
The only trades I can see today are all buys. Not sure what’s going on here!
No idea but the share trading is an absolute joke at present. So many single digit trades that it seems fairly obvious that two parties are trying to control the SP with the minimum number of shares being traded.
Hopefully they will get board fairly soon and pi55 pff.
Always interesting when the MM place a wide spread on the SP. I often wonder which reflects the true value of the company, is it the higher "to buy price" which would but off folks buying (so they can fill orders?) or the "lower" so as to put off folks off selling, if so why?
Just bought an Etron, arriving today. They are installing Podpoint charger for us. This is going to be big. Holding strong.
Well if that’s the case they are unlikely to free up many shares with a 5% spread!
DT
not an expert but on google live share price just gone up to 209...think the spread is wide because stock in short supply for market makers not an expert as i said
WTF is it with this share? The spread is bloody ridiculous and has been for several days. Who’s is gonna take a risk on an 8% spread?
bought pod just before the results meaning to buy for few months until funds available. Mercedes already a customer now BMW who will be next, look how many cars on road from just these 2 manufacturers and all manufacturers heading towards all their vehicles fully electric . market leader in domestic and big presence in commercial market as well next few years going to be terrific for pod cant Waite to buy more in my ISA. looking forward to next results.
....loving this company, we are the future of car transport.
UK government vows 10-fold increase in electric car chargers by 2030
The UK government has set a new target to increase the number of electric car chargers more than ten times to 300,000 by 2030 after heavy criticism that the rollout of public infrastructure is too slow to match rapid growth in sales.
The Department for Transport (DfT) said it would invest an extra £450m to do so, alongside hefty sums of private capital. Sales of new cars and vans with petrol and diesel engines will be banned from 2030.
There were 420,000 pure-electric cars on UK roads at the end of February, according to the comparison website Next Green Car. There were, however, only 29,600 public charge points in the UK on 1 March, according to data company Zap-Map.
The £450m local electric vehicle infrastructure fund would focus on charger hubs and on-street chargers, the DfT said.
But then again I have just seen the FT story about BP investing a billion in charging stations!
I suspect that the lack of any measures to encourage EV usage in todays Chancellors Statement is the cause of the general drift down today
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has called on the UK Government to deliver more investment in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to ease this decade’s “charging anxiety.”
According to data, the ratio between charging infrastructure and number of electric vehicles has worsened in the last year.
“Last year, it was about one for every 16 EVs on the road, this year it’s more likely to be one for every 32,” SMMT’s chief executive Mike Hawes told journalists during a press conference. “Things are getting worse because of that pace of market transition for EV sales.

I think it was always going to re-rate, the market general was down and if you are confident the company it was a reason to either continue to buy. Sure it would have been nice to have a stop-loss to buy back in at a lower price, but who knew it would bounce from 150p so I am happy to have stayed in and watched it come back up. I purchased some more at 200p a few weeks ago - wish I had some available funds to purchase when it went to around 175p or so but I didn't. I think anyone after a 2-3 year time horizon, alot of stocks at the moment are on sale.
...yes, theres part shortage but this is the future and PodPoint are well placed for it.
The petrol deadline is looming, that isn't going to change.
More need to get off of petrol due to russia.
UK gov giving soon demanding charge points for all new builds.
Great opportunity here.
True to my word I joined your happy throng on Thursday at 173p after (what appears at least) they hit the bottom. Only 3000 shares but its a start.
Have a good weekend fellow PODPs!
same here. wish id used a stop loss. lets hoe we get a bounce back.
There is always issues at the beginning of a market PanamaPete, but at the end of the day with fuel prices increasing, the UK banning Russian oil by end of year, US right now, and EU reducing over course of the year by 2/3, there will be a push for electric cars - although the crazy nickel price will keep things interesting. Overall as the article below says about charging point, this segment has huge potential. The question is if podpoint will be the breakout for the UK or not, and if the UK stock market begins to value it's growth like some of the us stocks.
