Tax policy has hardly been friendly or consistent from the UK government. Everything I have heard from the SNP indicates that they understand the sensitivity of investment to tax.
It is the UK Gov that a few weeks ago were mooting a ban on exploration!
Any independence is years off. I doubt it is affecting anyone's decision to buy PMG shares.
Platypus and the dutch assets would obviously be unaffected by Independence.
My comment regarding meaningless polices was intended to highlight this aspect of the future uncertainties.
As a longterm holder I am committed, but I would probably not be attracted now.
There could be many others out there who feel the same - hence lack of interest, share movement, etc.
Lol BJoe - nae politics please!!
Reading the SNP Policy on Energy is meaningless.
I wouldn't trust them with my penny to do anything they may say.
More likely the opposite, especially as long as it is anti UK
BJoe you should maybe read the SNP energy policy, nothing there re nationalisation or higher taxes for oil!
unfortunately, the market is sceptical that the previously unwanted GPA sour crude can be extracted and processed for a commercial profit. Despite Tom's boasts that there are no more technical hurdles to achieve this, PMG will not realise it's true market value until the GPA is operational as well as other PMG held oil/gas fields get moving. Can't remember the last time they had a drill bit turning in the ground...huge potential here, very low risk, potential huge rewards
Share price hardly moves even on quite good results, loads of cash & vgood prospects, etc.
Could it be the possibility of Scottish Independence that is holding it back.
e.g. Nationalisation of NSea assets, heavy taxes, etc. etc.
May even make a small profit this year if gas prices are maintained. Does seem to be that progress is being made on future gas and oil development fronts as well. Renewables progressing. Hopefully good news over summer!
Excellent RNS
Lots going on behind the scenes to add substantial value the the Company and share holders.
Will be adding here when my funds allow.
Sorry for the double celebration, just checked after 20 minutes to see if my post was there and it wasn't......so I posted again and both turned up.....
Still, worth a double celebration, well done to all shareholders especially the LTHs........
Good job Mr Cross, onwards and upwards ......
Best share on AIM
Well done Mr Cross, onwards and upwards....
Best share on AIM
exciting times clearly visible on horizon here.. seemingly.. if yes, it will have been a long time coming, in fairness.. topped up a little this morning.. probably should have done bigger.. may do another soon.. thi s/p could easily be categorised as extemely low imho (10 years ago this was over 300p .. )
It does feel like we are on the verge now, despite nothing material in the Interims.
Skerryvore progress in leaps and bounds GPA & Platypus
trending very well.

Wind power to hydrogen another possibility although cracking natural gas into hydrogen the more likely market for PMG.
While many of my shares in the commodity sector are doing badly this RNS has cheered me up! I may well off load any profits made over at CNE into PMG because this company is becoming a major North Sea Gas Producer at a time when the market for hydrogen picking up and most UK power stations are burning natural gas. Take a bow Mr Cross.
Good to see confirmation of surplus land. Maybe pay off loan and become debt free again!
Well it's £4 million in the bank rather than tied up in a useless (to us) asset.
What would be nice is to find out how it's going to be invested!
There does seem to be some activity in the background.
The company needs to push on with their renewable development. With companies such as BP/Shell and other Oil Majors re-aligning their assets to account for a higher % of renewables, PMG should push on and perhaps become a nice take over candidate
https://www.lse.co.uk/news/top-news-bp-to-develop-teesside-blue-hydrogen-production-facility-bbg2swy5teywrvl.html
Where will they source the natural gas from? Not PMG and Dutch fields possibly LNG shipments? Blue hydrogen could help perk up the North Sea Gas game which might have some future impact on PMG. Given we have already done the wind farm renewable energy thing perhaps Blue Hydrogen the next PMG news?
Only a gain or loss on sale and no chance of a sale at current price!
Tom only lost 19k today then.
Never forget a 1p rise in the s.p. gives Tom an increase of over £190,000 in his paper wealth.
What better incentive do you need to drive the business forward?
It will all come together at some point.
Hi Jim
Sorry that was lazy wording....
What I meant is that the implication by the OP that a low-ball (hostile or otherwise) offer could go through is unlikely due to the high percentage owned by TC. He will be a seller one day but I hope it will be another few years and many multiples of this SP.
I think more likely is that we will see farm in or outright sale of Perth soon. That would unlock a lot of value here.
