Our target is to become a £100m business within two years through organic and acquisitive growth" Have they got pinn lined up? http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/news/b2b/32135/annodata-intensifies-drive-into-mobile-market.aspx

Sky, the owner of Sky News, has announced it is entering the mobile market for the first time in a partnership with O2, allowing it to become a so-called 'quad player'. The wholesale deal, which will not affect O2's existing customers, means Sky can offer mobile services to Sky customers on Sky bills from 2016. The main players in the industry are vying to become "quad play" providers, meaning they bundle home phone, mobile, TV and broadband services together in a single package for customers. Sky's agreement comes as its rival BT looks to spend £12.5bn to buy current mobile market leader EE.
Re write the plot: Pinnacle to enhance its position as a front runner in digital strategy and a leading technical advisor. on the O2 & Sky partnertship worth ££££££££££££
O2 as part of an exclusive channel tie-up, PINN is a specialist partner to provide tailored security solutions and assist O2 in enlarging its digital capability and delivering a 'mobile centre of excellence' to the market. We think the channel is SKY any thoughts or views against.
Thanks Phil, been way too busy to be able to do much for the last few days.
I have emailed Beattie regarding the removed communications. The response basically stated that is was released by mistake early & that the 02 partnership is close to being finalised.
The statement was issued by Beattie, give them a call maybe ? 18 February 2015 Pinnacle Technology Group has announced a digital partnership with leading mobile provider O2 as part of an exclusive channel tie-up. Pinnacle - which has offices in Glasgow, Stoke-on-Trent and Northampton - has been appointed as a specialist partner to provide tailored security solutions and assist O2 in enlarging its digital capability and delivering a 'mobile centre of excellence' to the market. The multi-year deal will encompass all of Pinnacle's major offerings, providing a compelling solutions bundle for SMEs in particular. Furthermore, it is expected to allow Pinnacle to enhance its position as a front runner in digital strategy and a leading technical advisor. The deal builds on the existing relationship between the businesses, where as an accredited supplier of mobile telephony solutions for O2, Pinnacle offers a wide range of flexible tariffs and contracts, with a variety of package options available. Pinnacle CEO, Nicholas Scallan, said: "Our exciting partnership with O2 is another demonstratration of our on-going commitment to offering clients technology, digital products and services that will significantly enhance their business performance. Consumers are better informed than ever before, increasingly enjoying all the possibilities that creates. However, many organisations - SMEs in particular - simply aren’t making the most of the digital products and services available to them. Becoming a truly integrated organisation can deliver marked benefits, helping businesses to succeed and grow in digital Britain, and our partnership with O2 will offer them that." He added: "This partnership represents an important announcement for us that redefines the way we create new business, drives better performance and quality, and provides a further indication of our wider ambitions." Issued by Beattie Communications on behalf of Pinnacle Technology Group plc.
So when are we going to see confirmation of this exclusive tie up, or did I just imagine the whole thing last week?
As I see it they have a captive market for o2 business customers. O2 recognising that pinn have secured tesco, United Utilities, Baxters etc. Those companies are well established, and will be cash cows for pinn and o2.
Good post. Looking forward to 02 deal update :)
good post mate. thanks

My contact also pointed out that O2 pick only a limited number of partners. So it really does look like NS pulled a great coup. Mixing it with the big boys, including daisy. This artlcle gives a few more details. Looks like they have joined the elite. £2.5mil market looking like a joke valuation now. O2 Business to revamp programme and focus on high growth partners 28 November, 2014 - 14:47 O2 Business has adopted a new partnership approach for its direct and distribution network that marks a big departure from its familiar modus operandi. From 1st April next year O2 Business will work with fewer direct partners, those who are more likely to win and retain high value business. The O2 Direct Partner Network will replace the existing Centre of Excellence programme, and the move reflects 'the need to evolve in an increasingly digital marketplace', said the firm. The new programme will see O2 Business focus on developing deeper relationships with selected direct partners and key distributors. Jason Phillips, Head of Partners for O2 Business, said: "The new O2 Direct Partner Network marks the biggest change to our partnership approach in the last five years and we're excited to bring this initiative to market. "I am confident that this programme will give O2 Business and its partners the agility and flexibility to deliver mobility and digital solutions." The O2 Direct Partner Network has four key components: O2 Exclusivity (new extended five year contract with additional revenue share and a range of benefits for exclusive partners); Excellence Awards (£8m investment in incentive payments over the next three years for the best partners, with two new annual awards focused on the customer and digital excellence; new commercials and a bigger dedicated support team. www.comms-dealer.com/industry-news/o2-business-revamp-programme-and-focus-high-growth-partnersXx
Dibs, NS was asked to join pinn. Turnarounds are his thing. Stay tuned, got some more insight from one of my telecomms contacts. will post in a minute
Other than Extra LV's LOL, Maybe this deal, partnership was already on the table in Bonners time and this swung it, for him or change of location. We will never know, just wondering where the trail of bread crumbs will lead in this forest. By your own hand, used to working with large budgets, only adds fuel to the fire and intrigue.
Firstly it was a 'partnership' quoted in the 'pulled' announcement not a contract. Def no figures mentioned either so no way of quantifying anything. If there is no announcement on it this coming week I think it's all going to look very fishy. Secondly I've been considering NS and wondering why he left a jolly good position at a great company like Virgin to come to a tiddler and a budget which must be miniscule in comparison. Cue lots of comments like 'he saw the potential blah blah' but I do find it a rather curious move?
Right, been chatting to a couple of contacts who work in the telecoms industry. It turns out O2 only award contracts to companies who can deliver highly exacting standards. Furthermore, one pointed out that Daisy (DAY) were also awarded a similar contract. They were bought out for a market cap £450 million this year. M&A activity he said is increasing in the sector as companies vie to obtain larger customer base. He was vaugely aware of NS, as he too worked at virgin.
Thank you, but i will decline, good luck with research.
Hi Corpse, Did you manage to have a read of my PM. Cheers
l have a feeling we'll have news this week giving more details on the o2 deal. Who bought the 300k?
