Timed this one well, bought in late last week, should be a fantastic 2017, look forward to seeing the full results.
If he's correct, which I doubt, I wouldn't embarrass myself by claiming the number 4647 spot when an Apple charging cable can only make number 100 LOL How many EJ's have been sold then ? Selfridges it was 10 wasn't it, so maybe 20 on Amazon ? Wowzer
MM's are short of stock at all after someone dumped 800k earlier Selfridges must be over the moon with that, sold 10, wowzer
Are you seriously suggesting they couldn't find anyone to man the stand for the first 2 days that also included the only late night ? Incredible if true, you couldn't make it up, prime very expensive space with potentially massive footfall and they weren't there for 2 days !!! All adds weight to my view that YOLO may have made a poor investment here, time will tell.
I visited the Ideal Home Exhibition last night, Electric Jukebox don't even have a proper stand, just a shelf tagged onto the rear of the Orbit Sound stand, I took a photo & posted it on twitter as proof. No sales staff, nothing, just 2 empty boxes and one device so where's the marketing I keep hearing about ? As for the celebs that have shares in EJ did they buy them or were they given them in return for allowing their name to be associated with the product ? There was a tiny company that sells headphones there, a recent start up and they had a proper stand with staff and were engaging with prospective customers, a very poor effort from EJ in my opinion.
I haven't been rude or crude on lse, it's against the rules, i'm more forthright on twitter i'll grant you that, then again so are the one's who dish out abuse to anyone who has a negative view. I think i've offered a far more detailed insight than any of the shall we call them, "positive" posters, I haven't seen one scrap of evidence to support why the investment into EJ is a good one. No sales projections, no sales figures to date, no idea on margin, overheads etc. but what you can do is look up the latest accounts at companies house and in my opinion it's a very high risk investment for YOLO. Time will tell of course.
I'll give you some pointers for conducting due diligence on EJ. Research the shareholders in EJ and then cross reference the names with WRN (Worthington) and draw your own conclusions. Important to know who is who when investing in a company and assess their track records.
I was previously invested in YOLO, some trades were profitable, some weren't, just to satisfy your obsession with my trading history i've checked and altogether I exited down £1500 on a total of £15k trades, not the end of the world. I always said the best hope for YOLO was TV Player but it appears Simple Stream aren't generating significant profit from it, shame as it's a good product. I set it up for a relative in hospital on an iPad, worked brilliantly but where's the benefit to YOLO ? Apple were at the time looking to launch a similar service, it's a growing market, if Simple Stream can get them onboard in some capacity happy days but it hasn't happened. I think you need to look deeper into how AIM works, plenty of people have benefitted from the placings but normal investors have been stung everytime. I'm certainly not bitter, anyone who knows me will tell you I take losses on the chin, we all have them, anyone who says they don't is a liar but bitter over £1500 ? Nah LOL Last point, there's a HUGE difference between promoting something you GENUINELY believe has potential and just posting nonsense to allow you to dump your placing shares, did you take part in the placing or did you just get caught up in the hype ?
How is using Amazon Fire or Google Chromecast any more complicated than setting this up ? It isn't !!!! Also people are already familiar with their phones so no need to have another physical device. Older people being technophobic is also a red herring. The market appears to agree with those of us that have pointed out the flaws with EJ, down again today.
Yes but you can't use Electric Jukebox on your phone, tablet or PC so it's over priced and very limited in my opinion. Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music, Apple Music......all offer far far more without a large upfront cost either.
I think it's misleading to suggest Nigel Wray is 100% sticky. He is well known for playing the AIM casino. His TR1 was late, well outside the rules. As he has taken placing stock nobody knows yet if he has been selling for a quick profit, I guess we will see if another TR1 materialises next week. In the meantime the Electric Jukebox shambles continues, Argos are NOT actually stocking it yet, Amazon have no stock and there's a host of fake reviews on there, not going too well so far really. I still maintain that the new Amazon Music service will kill it off, it's a very crowded space and the big boys all have market share.
No I didn't think so, just more mindless abuse to go with the mindless ramping. When I was invested Apple were looking to acquire an online TV channel broadcaster, fact. Since then the management here has been awful. I would love to see the due diligence details on this deal.
So what are the sales targets/projections ? What is the cost per unit/margin etc. ? Anyone know or are people just buying YOLO shares blindly ? You do realise Electric Jukebox made a huge loss last year and now have the YOLO loan to repay too ? I don't see how YOLO benefit from this deal. I do see how placees and warrant holders benefit though.
"the 90% of people who no longer spend £800m per year on music" That will be because they already have smartphones, tablets and streaming media devices, the market is saturated already. You seriously think they can compete with Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal etc. ?
Draw your own conclusions, some interesting hints at possible underlying issues. Not great publicity is it. http://musically.com/2016/02/03/electric-jukebox-delays-us-launch/
Another opinion published here over a year ago, it's taken so long to launch. Let's be honest, how can they compete against the likes of Apple Music, Spotify & Amazon Music ? http://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/no-electric-jukebox-isnt-a-joke-but-it-probably-should-be/
I disagree, I think this will really struggle. "Prime customers can sign up for £7.99 a month, which is a more upfront expression of the discounts applied by other streaming services when they are bundled with other products like mobile accounts. But more importantly, Amazon Music Unlimited also offers a bargain-basement £3.99 a month option for those only seeking to stream at home, and willing to do so only via Amazon’s proprietary Echo wi-fi speaker system. Amazon’s relatively speedy UK launch of Music Unlimited makes sense, given this could be a good Christmas for sales of the popular Echo device, and it’s beneficial for both Amazon and the music industry to be trying to upsell a streaming subscription at the same time. And with the economy Echo Dot only £49.99, that means Amazon can offer consumers a fun little interactive device and a year of music for under £100. The arrival of Amazon’s streaming music offer will put pressure on start-up Electric Jukebox, which also offers a cheaper subscription streaming option locked to one home-listening device, in that case the TV. Although the celebrity-backed Electric Jukebox claims to be easier to set up – and is promising an ad-funded free option for those who don’t want to pay for streams beyond one year – it is generally offering less than the Amazon product at a similar price point, and without the marketing platform of its bigger rival." I'm talking about ordinary investors, you just can't do it on these penny stocks. Too often people use terms they don't really understand, it all gets a bit emotional for some.
Can you enlighten me as to how you can short this stock ? Impossible in my opinion. Call your broker and ask them. Maybe better to know how these things work before using incorrect terms.
Yes but the real spread is a bit tighter plus there were times yesterday when they closed it right up. There is a small seller dripping a few out but with some mild sustained buying pressure this will go nuts. GL
