We will only know what really happened with RS, when we see the report and/or any appeal is forthcoming? He seemed so confident, for so long... was it all bluff, even on the phone, to constant questioners of when the result would arrive! We shall see I guess, in the fullness of time... or until it delists in 6 months!! GLA.
Disgusting when statements like this are made on a RNS and are not delivered, people's confidence in BOD's have been shattered, this whole game is corrupt.
johntroy,....What I am taking away from this,...,when considering what the funders chance of success is based on;- ie their fee's being achieved, with only a derisory award being achieved,..... so, I will not be investing in any more legal plays such as this. BW
Goodbye Pettycash. Good Luck. I shall miss the banter. Have a great 2016. All the best.
Cheers Pettycash. I feel the same as you and wish everyone here all the best for 2016. I certainly didn't envisage this being the end result for Oxus, I thought we would have at least got the lower end of our estimations. I too shall look in occasionally until it disappears for good. Until then I shall no doubt dream of what could have been!
To everyone on board.. I'll keep reading but this is the end of my posting Have a happy and healthy New Year x
New Year's Resolution: If ever I see a statement again like the one below issued by Oxus on 30 September 2015 I will sell immediately - "The directors remain confident that the Arbitral Tribunal will, in the very near future, rule in the Group's favour and that fair compensation will be awarded for both the AGF and Khandiza mining assets, which were blatantly misappropriated by the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this respect, the Board will continue to take whatever steps it deems necessary to ensure the return of value to the Company's long-suffering stakeholders." A happier New Year one and all.
I may be wrong, but I don't think all UNCITRAL decisions are made public. Do we know if this is the case here?
that's what i feel about this too,the timing is also stinks , why would this take 20 months from our final hearing and 5 years in total? Richard needs to tell us whats happened ,we lost the case and been feed on crumbs last few years so enough of these confidentiality statements and just tell us what happened..
Yeah, indeed, I noted the absence of Vlad since before the announcement. I hope he comes back on with some views soon... he must have lost a few quid I guess here, like us all... not to mention seeing the Uzbeks win, it's not nice!!
Something just doesn't seem right here, and I'm reserving further comment until we hear from RS. I can only assume that we've lost on a point of law that has raised its head at the 11th hour, otherwise I can't see why this wasn't thrown out early doors. I'm not sure that this hasn't got a few twists and turns left in it yet, or at least I'm hoping.
What I find hard to get my head around is the fact of calling in the guy Twice to value our assets..…why..only for the case to turn into "fools gold" , oh what nugget I have been, never MINE 'd , suppose the party is off...good luck guys n gals, nice chatting over the past 4 years....looks like we were all foxed by the ox.
Where's Vlad?....no post or comment since decision.........
If the length of time it took for the final decision to be made, air on the side of caution and expect it to be published in circa one year imo. Someat stinks here and it aint one's socks!! This looks like a complete write-off and if an appeal is made, expect another long wait imo. If this is ever unsuspended peeps will make a fast exit to the door and that is why the BOD need to update shareholders on their next move and fast. If an appeal is to take place then hopefully the SP will not crash and burn if trading ever resumes. All imo and gl...fook knows we need some!!
Still gotta get the cash and cant imagine if we are intending another action that uzzies are gonna rush through cash to pay for it for us.
Anyone know how long the report will take to be published officially for all and sundry to read? I've seen estimates of one week to one year bandied about, but is there a definitive guideline? How long was it in the Metal Tech case??
6.5 back to Calunius, gives us 7.7 million to final an appeal. Or once the report comes out, we find out Shead knew we were cooked before the verdict
$10,299,572 + LIBOR interest + 2% LIBOR rate 2004 - 1.48% +2% = $10,657,997 2005 - 4.48% +2% = $11,348,635 2006 - 5.37% +2% = $12,185,029 2007 - 4.70% +2% = $13,001,426 2008 - 2.00% +2% = $13,521,483 2009 - 0.23% +2% = $13,823,012 2010 - 0.78% +2% = $14,207,992
About the same chance as you pulling germaine greer I suspect .
In terms of using the 10 million towards the appeal and giving what's left back to Calunius if they agree
it is not over unless it is decided not to appeal. We will have to wait and see if our creditors decide to appeal . Not over till the fat lady sings.
It will be down to the people that have claim to the $10m deciding if they want to take that money or allow it to be used moving forward for a further battle. As some have pointed out, no doubt a 'win' would have led to the Uzzies taking the same action. The points that lead me to think it is a massive con, like a few horses heads have been turning up in various French bedrooms, is the lack of compensation for assets, the admission that one gold field was seized by 'special decree' and the fact we have been deemed soley liable despite being in a 50/50 partnership. I have been in oxs for only 12 months and kicked myself for not bailing when my 'investment doubled in value last March time, didn't bail or slice again in November, bloody stupid. My biggest worry as always been that the case as been in the hands of three individuals who wander around at will, all with families etc, with so much cash at stake it is not hard to believe in bribery, corruption and threats, hopefully this will be taken to an open court.
Shareholders left completely in the dark with no decision to pour over. No words of comfort from the company. It has all ended very bitterly here and I am expecting a complete wipeout. Therefore.....the situation is grim and anyone else saying otherwise is foolish.
Well Done threeputt, you are obviously doing very well and good luck. I hope there are many more people also...but my experience is different. GL
