If people want to compare Oph's valuation to Polb's, fine. Even allowing for the difference in share issue between the two, OO having about a third more than Poolbeg, this article about Flu-v just goes to show what the non-core assets, potentially, add to the mix. Cheep as ... imo. Just needs time to work through.
Fascinating article, so it looks like someone is still working in the background to get Imutex Flu v vaccine onto the market..I see Gregory Stoloff is headlined on the medical paper. I'm sure he was the man in charge at SEEK group? I'm surprised this has not been RNS'd by the company? If this gets taken up into a stage 3 trial I wonder what will happen to our SP...fingers still crossed...GLA Adyor!
back to 10p...shocking manipulation
Despite my annoyance yesterday - gift horse and mouth seems to ring a bell if I can get in early
RNS. What people seem to forget is that any business listed or not discuss in confidence many aspects of the forward plan etc with a number of touchpoints with external advisors across a plethora of specialities. There is a potential answer, everything else is pure guff. Seeing some of the hysteria elsewhere is quite frankly the latest twist to underpin a targeted negative agenda.
Yes Flu v more important but hey good news is not as eye catching.
So the little story insider dealing is a non event? not connected to anyone of any importance in OO...end off as confirmed by Walbrook PR yesterday and by official RNS today!..Aimho Adyor!
I prefer to focus on real news about contracts, cash position and opportunities for growth and acquisitions etc..I liked this post from yesterday.....

Agreed. But what the fk are Seek doing? Are they sitting on their hands hoping Orph sell their percentage?
Glad to see today's RNS 'for the record', however , the English is apalling :
.."The Company confirms that it was made aware of this allegation by, and at their request, is helping the relevant Irish authorities in respect of this allegation..."
Seriously ?
THIS is what everyone should be focussing on, not a man who never worked for open orphan who potentially didn't do insider trading at all.
Flu v is our golden goose and that news is a real boost to what people were thinking was a dead duck
DesertStar
“now we’re only 3.5p higher than Poolbeg”. Not how you value shares!!
Probably not but now Open Orphan has a market cap of only double Poolbegs, this comment sounds even worse than saying the share price is only 3.5p higher.

"In conclusion, adjuvanted FLU-v vaccination induced cross-reactive cellular responses with cytotoxic capacity, further supporting the development of FLU-v as a broad-spectrum influenza vaccine."

"released without charge"
So, journo's doing what journo's do, making a story to sell copy.
Knock on effect is that people, some maliciously, jump on it getting others in a tizzy and cause panic selling.
Unfortunate state of affairs, imo.
Col, maybe liberal was too strong a word. Replace with considered. :)
Don't want to read an echo chamber, afterall, all points should be reflected upon.

Update from Irish national broadcaster use rte dot ie if URL domain is missing ....
Gardaí have released without charge a man who was arrested yesterday as part of a probe into alleged insider dealing.
A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Detectives from the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) arrested the man as part of an investigation into insider trading contrary to the European Union (Market Abuse) Regulations 2016.
The inquiry started after a report was given to the GNECB by the Central Bank.
The man was questioned at a south Dublin garda station.
The GNECB said yesterday that the extensive investigation had progressed with the assistance of personnel attached to the Central Bank.
"Their expertise and experience had been invaluable," the statement said.
“now we’re only 3.5p higher than Poolbeg”. Not how you value shares!!
"will be buying more tomorrow"
maybe.... maybe not. We'll have an RNS at some point.
Just to add. I do think that at some time in the future , hopeful sooner than latter any investment in a quality share should give a very decent return...but i think we all have to recalibrate our thinking and short term "expectations" to align with the new reality that their is a lot of fear around ...and is its seriously much more harder to trade an rns lol
I has OO down as a defensive play in todays economic environment in the simple sense that it is already making money, in an exploding new market, in an industry that is not at all dependent on the public, such as high street consumers spending and has some valuable spin outs that will one day be executed. Yet, this somewhat simple and IMO sensible criteria has not shown results.......so either the markets are in total confusion or there is something I have missed.
To be honest, ( we are all limited in what we can see by our own preferences) the same thing seems to be happening to many other shares also....so i see it as the tide has gone out and it is a matter of waiting for the tide to return but from what i can see regarding other shares is OO is doing a much more solid job, with solid future revenues, prospects, cash etc and is still being treated along with many others less favourable shares...
So I am confused at present as it does not seem to matter how good the news is, the sp does not react ( across the board) ....so IMO the good news is that its not OO per se, its the economy etc ...and the big question is ..how long can this go on for and how long can each individual investor hang on for. ....
This was on the cards and the rampers should hold their heads in shame!
Si_Derman, liberal use of the filter button is fine and your prerogative but it doesn’t alter the fact that confidence in the company is waning. Regardless how you decide to filter people yours and others invested/gambled here wealth is diminishing daily. No one who invested or gambled in this stock expected to see the SP back at 8p.
Bring back CF to stop the rot otherwise we’ll probably fall even lower.
were in the middle of a bear market and recession company is going to survive no matter what the share price, it is worth a lot more than this as a boring CRO company with lots of potential will be buying more tomorrow
Just got in and reading the days posts. Storm in a tea cup, imo. But it's funny how when things like this pop up, so do posters that have never posted here before, accentuating the negative. Along with others that always seem to post that way.
Hey ho, liberal use of the filter button and wait for something official. :)
Longlad - not really understanding your point, can you explain? You copied this from twitter, so what is the potential issue with this if you are simply copy and pasting something on there. I guess its factually correct what you have posted?
DYOR
Just to clarify. Ive been here for a long time.
I hit refresh on twitter earlier, only had a minute so copy and pasted what was available, as someone less fond of the company could have exaggerated the story.
GLA
Funny or not that’s the reality moniman.
Friel invests and puts money where his mouth is, ok he’s lost 2/3rds of his last investment but he’s put the fu ck ing money down on the table. Mo Khan and the other clown over at Poolbeg haven’t bought a share between them, several promises and excuses but nothing slapped down on the table.
Lol...that's quite funny from you..Maybe Mo is rehearsing a role in the next Titanic movie...
