Any ideas why ORIT SP is trading so low? 7% below a very conservative NAV? Green coat Uk wind SP is back to pre-Truss/Kwarteng levels and pretty much on NAV. It has a very similar structure but with a less diversified portfolio.
Nice tip in today's telegraph.
A 10pc dividend rise, yet the shares have barely moved – buy this trust before the market catches on
As expected dividend declaration today which is good news. I like having this stock in my income portfolio. good and progressive dividend, green and seems to be very resilient to market conditions. I am looking forward to the future income and growth as the investments begin to make a return

Owned by Octopus Energy Group Ltd - I didn't go further down the Rabbit Hole of finding out who owns that.

Thank you. :-)
It's not silly, it's the complex structure of the group we were recently mentioning.
OSEC is a venture capital trust, something I have never looked in to as an investment.
ORIT is a renewables Investment trust which people on here are invested in.
OOA is another venture capital trust.
I would say that Octopus Energy comes under the privately owned part of Octopus Group, so can't be invested in.
Wikipedia has some information - but it would take more time than I have to understand the situation fully.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus_Group
Octopus Energy Ltd. The energy supplier known as Octopus Energy... Why am I finding 3 different shares, all of which look to be linked to the company? Which one is it for Octopus Energy Ltd?
ORIT
OSEC
OOA
I made the mistake of getting into ORIT at the beginning - in future I will wait a year until the companies are investor and earning, but very pleased with my holding here now the dividends are coming.
PS: Tax breaks for green energy infrastructure is also part of the (likely very big) picture:

Yes, I tried to work it out yesterday :)
My thesis here is that energy costs will sky rocket as part of the move to boost inflation so it would follow that the current NAV here of c97p is likely to rise significantly as fossil fuel costs are seen to rise dramatically.
There's a lot of serious US whale interest in some UK listed green energy companies, all the way to US govt level, in plays like this and JAY.
It's a very complicated structure - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus_Group
Hopefully someone with lots of time on their hands will know (or work out) if this has any benefit to us,
Caught my eye yesterday - thoughts?

Sustained performance, looking good for the next results.
Lanski, I coming around to that opinion too, if an IT are raising money to expand then they are likely to be doing well. Also, helps reduce dilution.
Mike, thanks for the clarification. Yes, I invested in the ipo. It's really difficult reading the whole prospectus, I tend to pick out the bits I think are worth reading, so in danger of missing important information. At the end of the day I have some faith in the regulaters and only buy ITs who are AIC registered or intending to.
I also have ORIT, UKW and TRIG. "Buy whenever they do a raise" is the game I'm playing. Hope it works!
