Great news from ORCH!!! I am still here as well and bought afew 3,126 to top up under 40p a share average. Great company and a must for any long term SIPP and ISA for divis and revenues!!!
Looks like we are alone Florence 😔. No bad thing. I will continue to scoop these up while the market sleeps.
The value on offer here is practically offensive!
Made 1.7m with interest rate dynamics against them
18m rock solid net loan book
7.8% dividend 2.5x covered
8m market cap
Sorry 3p divi. Still an excellent yield and pretty safe.
Any lending company is going to have issues when rates are high but as the consensus they have peaked then it should be easing next year
. Divi 4p per year is about 11% so this is surely great value. Should be a spike today!
Hate it when companies don't announce well in advance their results day. Makes you think they are hiding something. Got my 007 divi payment yesterday from Orch so I know there is some form of life there. Been averaging Down on this one so a bounce back would be crispy.
Small top up! Still extremely cheap under 40p.!!! Shouldn’t be long now, maybe next week when we get AGM and ex divi announcement on a RNS.??
Get in while cheap and a very well run company with full, order books and a very steady eddy share, good pension /SIPP revenues with a 7-8% divi revenue annually for doing nothing!!.
A few new buyers today, is this the turning point? Upwards?
Totally agree Florence 14. When AGM and announcement on Divi’s for December come out soon, we will all be happy we held and patience starting to come through! I picked up a few more sub 40p which is always great! 2 x 8,000 shares bought!
As frustrating as it’s been holding orchard the last couple of years, the relative performance has actually been quite good. If you’d have bought at the AIM high in September 2021 you’d be 31% down but have collected approximately 12% in divis along the way. So that’s net 19% down vs 44% for the most appropriate benchmark. I’m not sure why I’m posting this. I guess it made me feel a bit better about having held orchard all this time. Maybe it will do the same for others.
Why buy just 2 shares??? Strange.
This share is a great buy at the minute with a sp of sub 49p and the divis and ‘SOLID’ dependable company and share. See the reports and share pickers who see this as a steady share!! Ideal for a pension or SIPP for revenue long term!
Who buys 11 shares, what is the point a £5 invest in Orchard or a signal to buy? Who knows? Strange anyway!!
I hope investors see Orchard for what it is and start buying in bulk at 20,000 shares per time for the medium term share with great dividends!!
I cannot understand sellers at 36p, patience and this has always been a medium tool g term buy. Plus excellent 7-8% return in divi payments!!
Great opportunity to get in at a steal at 38p a share currently. Just bought another 10,000 at sub 39p, at 38.4p and looking for more! A very well run company, with a CEO with years of experience in this sector and heavily invested personally and his family. Great divis and profits each year for the last 8-10 years!!
It’s never bounced and continues to drop as the market overall does too
be interesting to see next results how they fair in this liquidity environment
Strong buying opportunity, I have started buying back in with 15,000 today and around 10,000 last week. Build up on sun 41p and let’s see what September and October bring in lines of communications and news of any new contracts or news on 2023 performance in light of the recession and interest rates at 6%.
Ready for a cat bounce to 55p. !!! This share will romp in next 6 months!!
Florence14 - You are truly accurate! I have just managed to pick up 2 x 35,000 shares at 43p and 43.6p this morning, a bargain! Just wait now for UK financials and end of all these strikes and inflation to come down! Then no reason for this sp to be back at 65p!!!
So as of last night orchard was trading at 4x post tax profits, 0.46 tangible book (including non-current loans) and they repeatedly have negligible impairments due to deal structures in place with insurance companies.
Crazy, crazy value on offer.
All buy buy buy at this price it’s a steal!
They have net current assets - total liabilities of £16M vs the market cap of £9M-£10M so they are priced very cheaply in the market, a Ben Graham net-net. You can subscribe to my website email list at www.realworthstocks.com where I will post updates about them sometimes if you wish.
Hi bunsenburner123, I wrote up a post on Orchard Funding Group here that should answer your questions: hTTps://realworthstocks.com/orchard-funding-group-a-premium-finance-lender-at-69-of-net-current-asset-value/
However: they have mostly very short term loans, less than 1 year duration, and they do a small amount of property bridging loans on properties at less than 75% LTV. They fund this partially with shareholders equity, partially with retained earnings, and partially with a finance facility (bank debt) from Toyota etc. They also have a small amount of corporate bonds. They have some cash, but their assets are the short terms loans financing insurance premium policies which are <10 months in duration, and are pretty safe since they are underwritten by the insurance brokers.
Hard to understand the financials here. Can anyone tell me – how much cash do they have and how much debt do I have? Thanks
What is happening to shareholders selling last week, yesterday and again today??
At 47/48 sp is ridiculously cheap and look at the fundamentals in the Annual report, AGM updates and the last 3-4 RNS’s. This share will have a bounce within 3-4 months and be back around 65p a share so get your buying hats on. Check out the Mello presentation, checkout the Orchard Funding Group PLC website and what Lendxp and Trustloop do and offer for future potential!!! This sp should be at 95p.
See my note on ADVFN this share is a staple in any portfolio.
