I agree that this is the future re animal feedstuff moving forward and pleased to have invested here @ 12p. Great to level of cash in hand.
News of new customers will hopefully be announced @ AGM
Very much off the radar with the potential to revolutionise agricultural feed in our country and possibly abroad especially with feed prices highly inflated and likely to remain so.
I agree Escala, until a break even position is reached the company is not viable without outside support either debt or equity (more likely equity tbh). They also seem to have recruited quite experienced sales managers with industry experience and so hopefully this makes a difference but it's taking time. My concern is that a 30% YoY sales increase may not be enough of a take up and it seems from the info the company shares with investors that the main route to new customers is through a lengthy trial period which I fully understand but it adds to the delays in sales growing and a break even position being achieved.
I think the company is doing everything right though and so have some hope things work out. They are also ahead of the pack in terms of shareholder Comms which is refreshing. I have my fingers crossed for them.
The share price and the sales volumes are what is not to like.
The product seems good, and the IP patent released today gives credence to the efficacy. But this product is in the marketplace right now and word should be getting around. It's simple really....if it saves the end user money, directly or indirectly, they will buy it. What is stopping them??
Sales of OHT's proprietary blended seaweed ingredient, OceanFeedTM, is expected to grow circa 29% year on year.
Continued improvement in gross margins in H2 with full year gross margin expected to be over 37% (2022:31%).
What’s not to like?
Good to see a director continuing to build his position following the results. Shows confidence in the long term prospects of the business.
Ok so I know the share price has tanked on yesterdays results but volumes are still very small. If anyone from the BOD reads this then clearly the focus has to be on growing sales volumes. From an investment point of view, the sales pipeline seems light in relation to the reasonably high number of experienced (read expensive) sales staff that are in the workforce. I totally understand that it takes time to build momentum and I believe that it will come but seems strange that there's not a larger number of smaller farms engaging - is there any reason for this? There was talk about 5 farms with tests that were in the top 5 producers but I'd have thought smaller operations would be able to switch quicker.
Results on Tuesday seems to be all about the conversion of the pipeline into new customers, I'm surprised there's not been any leakage in relation to the 30 or so pipeline customers who could easily announce they are using OHT products and shouting how good they are. There's a fairly large and what appears to be experienced sales force in place and so it's likely they need to deliver strongly in relation to the new business to maintain all the sales job's. Will be interesting to see if the message is as positive as I'm hoping it will be.

I agree, Directors buying £20k isn't enough to indicate anything especially when the volumes are multiple amounts of £5k ish. I know very little about the market but, while not currently invested, find it an interesting concept - I used to work for the government about 25yrs ago and they were investing in research projects like this to minimise methane gas and other benefits. I also see seaweed being a really good food source in the future. I read with interest that no customers have left and that all/most who are in trials then become customers - esp when they are quoting 10 current customers and 20 in the pipeline this implies revenue could triple in near future. I'd like to see them own more of the supply chain though especially if this is a growing market.
P.S. anyone know how I can start a chat without having to reply to an existing conversation?
I have a working knowledge of this company and it’s real and good,
Next to no trade in the shares though, the sp as drifted down on no volume, World wide sales opportunities for the product and a need but it’s looks like activity as, well dozed off ?
I don't think there's enough volume for any meaningful analysis.
I'm still in. It's only a small holding so I'm gambling on there being some interest soon, but wouldn't be surprised if I lose the lot.
My question is are the directors buying because they have faith in the company, or because they're trying to halt the slide and protect the investment they already have?
Jlovie has anyone here done some tech analysis of the sp chart?
At first glance to momentum is all downwards but Directors buying.
Big buy by directors.....please tell me more, this company interests me.
Nice update……….the market clearly likes it!
:-)
Might be time to cut my losses, it just keeps dropping on thin trade.
Nice to hear it from the horse’s mouth sustain! So to speak!!
I’m in!
:-)
Iam out made 6.2%,if price drops below 20 I may reinvest.
I am a dairy Cow Nutritionist with experience of this product and this company. I didn’t know it was listing until the day last week.
I along with a small group were presented to a couple of years back , we were so impressed by the company, it’s sustainable approach to harvesting the product and the clear benefits of the product.
The product acts as a rumen buffer keeping the ph stable and enabling the high yielding dairy cow to digest its food or nutrients more efficiently promoting higher productivity. Healthy rumen ( gut health ) promotes healthy animals which leads to better fertility and longevity. Milk processors are now insisting on dairy cows being fed in a way that customers would approve of, farmers are onboard and the world is consuming more meat.
I bought 40,000 shares and imo it’s the right product at the right time.
Google the benefits from methane emissions to animal health. It’s a great product.
Personally I think it is worth a punt.
Worth reading the risks on their IPO document first though. Not for widows and orphans.
But...a sustainable product that is much needed and probable shift to profitability soon. Like I say, worth a punt.
Beware liquidity though....only £20m in circulation.
Is this worth investing in ?
