Interesting to read your comments but there is one thing that concerns me here.... How can a viable business continue when there are no revenues, and costs, which incidentally include the most preposterous salaries for the board, are far higher, never mind the other necessary capital employed ? As it stands if one was sceptical the phrase "lifestyle business" springs to mind which as I am sure you are aware will always be at the detriment of shareholders.
First time user long time viewer. I understood I could stand corrected....the Henry brothers helped Aberdeen team launch but stepped out of Arria when Shell came on board, they left when Shell signed. Agree with InvestandFight BH indiscretion with NZX was dinky and pathetic. I could be wrong again but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Shell re-signed, with the money they were saving be insane not to. Watch this space the technology is pretty amazing and the boys at Aberdeen frickin clever! This technology is going to pave the way for processing reporting, analytics, and other things you can only dream about, AI future here we come. Ahh just remembering back in the day when the idea of Internet was mooted a tool to use in your home on your personal computer and when Google launched, the idea was crazy and incomprehensible ...look at us now.
Agree about proof of concepts but guess with every business they are working with being a global enterprise level along with a sector that never really previously existed this is to be expected. This should not be for a short term speculator but a mid to long term with huge potential. It's crazy people expecting quick turn around on this. I've been in 3.5 years so far and still very excited. Mr.Ross has nothing to do with the integrity of this business and was a private investor with no personal involvement. Not sure how that is Impacts Arria reputation regarding someone who did what he did and was caught after he invested in Arria through another entity? Don't know all details around Henry brothers but know Brian's was quite a bit trumped up if you look at the actual trade referred to which was a tiny amount that Infurs more error than anything as risk v reward ratio simply not there. Correlating shell to these is a long shot. She'll laid off something like 60% staff due to down turn in their market so continuing with this product from their perspective became secondary. They noted that they did not discount working with Arria in the future and did not reflect their opinion on the product. My opinion buy, enjoy the ride and sit back with a smile over the next 2 years+
Before I start I would like to say I have no particular axe to grind, but it appears there is more here that has gone unnoticed. I hadn't realised that the company was founded by brothers Brian & Gerald Henry both New Zealanders. Brian Henry last year admitted to manipulative orders and trades in Dilligent stock and was fined accordingly after settling with the FMA. Gerald was jailed in the states for mail and wire fraud in the 1990's. Also a large investor was a chap called David Ross...who was found to have run New Zealand's biggest ever Ponzi scheme and was subsequently sentenced to 10 years in the clink. Wonder why one of the biggest oil companies on the planet decided to terminate their contract?
Have been keeping a close eye on Arria and have come to the conclusion that the valuation given to this company, market cap circa £35m, is grossly over valued. It wasn't that long ago that they failed to raise new funds in London at a substantial discount to the market price whilst disclosing that Shell had dissolved their contract with them. Surely there are reasons for this? Admittedly they have pulled a rabbit out the bag with some promised fund raising from what looks like existing shareholders but even this doesn't appear to have arrived in its entirety. These announcements they been putting out labelled as a "Proof of Concept" carry no mention of any revenues so one can only assume that there are none. I would be very interested to know how a business with such a high annual burn without any revenue can, and I quote the CEO, "continue as a viable concern"
Great to see another trial contract on its way. Will be great over the next 12 months as all these contracts start generating money and this business starts to fly
thought so. just guesswork!
what makes you think that?
funding complete and patent granted 60p+ over the coming days
Motoring. Not in here tho well done
10:00 news, wow! Now new parents in place, hopefully nothing would stop getting flow of the new contracts :)
Patent granted and funding update
My personal opinion is that this drop was orchestrated by the mm's in order to get shares, thats all. Look at that delayed £13k buy this morning, some buys in red i think, and also the fact that the sp is slowly rising to where it was at close of play Friday. Also have you noticed the spread has closed for now. I guess we will get more of an answer at close of play today and on open tomorrow
Hello fellow Arria shareholders ! I'm lucky enough to of bought into these at the early part of the recent rise and will hold on to these for the long term. Any ideas behind the 8% drop today ?
Nice strong up for this company sp. Been with them from day one, almost there as average down from £ days. Hopefully it will go up to floating days, this lovely little Co :))......Massive potential, just need new decent contract and we will fly!
I bought these, and learned a new definition of muppet, someone who buys a share that can actually rise for several days in succession, and not need to sell after the first 10% rise. I must be Kirmits best buddy, half way up the stairs, at the moment it is nice to be a muppet.
Up 134%...... Not bad.....
this muppet has doubled his money, perhaps the sp is rising due to good revenue into the business and not share dealing,
Anyone who buys these is a muppet. The share price has no correlation between people who want to buy and who want to sell, It's a lottery.
by the way any reason for the rise or is it based of the last RNS
Nice buying these last few days GLA
must be a buyer under cover or contract news coming
cos they pretty much do what they want ha ha, apparently its to do with buy/ sell price in relation to the mid price. I'm only pretty new to this share dealing lark aswell. one thing i would say as a guide is look at the posters with many posts and see who they are posting about and then do the research on something which is talked about positively a lot..... research and judgement are key IMO im in here btw....
DYOR70 & Trainingsteve. Thanks very much for that. 1. I am certainly not investing money that I need or will need. And very very good advice nonetheless. and 2. I am struggling with how an mm can change a share price at will. How is it possible to show a 'buy' as a 'sell'? I have this vision now of these (Scottt Adams type) demons playing with the sp to have investors quaking in a cold sweat in the dead of night. Really appreciate the feedback.
That's exactly right.... I would also add that you should determine if you're a short, medium or long term investor and try and stick to your initial game plan. The mm's love to see panick sellers when they want shares to sell on. and lastly, only trust your own judgement....
