Hello all, could anyone explain what the rns means please? I cannot work it out as I'm new to all this :)
Thank you kindly π
Looks like you're right. Steady rise, divis xdate 23/11. All good
I'll be interested to see how this does next week. With talk of Jeremy Hunt offering bill discounts of up to 10k to people near new over headlines sounds like a bit of a sweetener but if this leads to shortening of the process to install new overhead lines to support net zero it has the real potential to accelerate NGs capital programme by removing some of the NIMBYS and planning process pain , i.e more growth sooner and a higher RAV for bigger returns on investment, sooner
At the time of posting the buys are outstripping the sells by quite a bit.
I see a steady rise towards the end of the year and into the spring.
I listened into 80 minutes of the results and analysts webinar with John Pettigrew (CEO) and Andy Agg (CFO). Yes, it was a bit dry with lots of acronyms (ESO, ENC, ASTI, NECO) some of which I had to look up! Profits and eps were down on the same period last year but there were some "one-offs" last year that didn't recur this year. John described the results as "solid" and reaffirmed ,the full year meeting the guidance, implying therefor a better second half.
This is, in part, a regulated utility and holds it's place in my portfolio as steady performer with a decent yield. Currently the shares are below their five year trend and on that basis a "weak buy". Most of the analysts had some concern about the size and concomitant funding of the Cap Ex. It has been raised to Β£42 billion and the issue is, if it increases further, where will they get the money from, the answer seemed to be 'we will see which capital source looks the best if the time comes, but anyway we are sticking to current projections". Politics raised its head with a UK election required within 15 months and we have to take comfort that they speak to the UK opposition regularly and some, including me, would say that the Labour Party would have enough on its plate without having to take on NG,
Spectacularly dull results.
Well as ever I might have put the kybosh on it by topping up as well.
It looks as though buyers are coming back in at the 996 so we will soon see what happens on monday.
GLA LTH.
950 to 999 nice movement. wonder of it can go further still?
NG seems like doing its yo-yo dance. It's back to under 950 once more. This is a much better price for top-up now, lol π€£π€£
Half year results are due in around the 9th or 10th of Nov with a div date to be confirmed shortly after.
Hopefully this will give us a rise into the new year and buying in at these levels will leave us with a div of around 6%.
Glad to have had a read of the recent posts on this share.
Conclusion I made was to follow the general feeling and so i have bought in anticipation of a steady rise with interim results due and an interim dividend not far off.
GLA

Glad to have topped up now and think that this could run quickly past the interim results on the 9th Nov up to xmas then depending on the interim results hopefully higher into Jan. Lets hope
Yep, think I made the same mistake again, never learned, lol πππ
Seen it, done it, got it wrongβ¦.
Just topped up and im sure that im a week or so to late. Roll on the climb back up to Div and Xmas
Ah, maybe I should have bought half when it fell to under 920 then top up if it falls to under Β£9. Well, this is hindsight of course. Now, let's see what next week will bring then. Good luck to all holders and have a nice weekend.
Im thinking of topping up but looking at these volumes the Share price could fall further today but i cant wait to long
Last trade was 919. Falling into the 800's now looks more and more likely.
Thinking of buying back some but undecided whether I should wait for it to drop to the Β£8's or not? Or will I miss the chance again like last time? Decisions decisions. ππ
With my EPIC shares being bought out I was looking for a new home. I haven't top these up in a while so decided to sell some EPIC early from one broker and use some of the proceeds to top up here yesterday.
I'll settle for another tranche at 900
I'm waiting for a bit more of a drop before piling in
