269, wow
What a great morning. All these lovely shares screaming 'buy me, i'm cheap!' Spoilt for choice today!
Xmas day come early this. Picked up some Hochschild @154 & MRO at 153. Bargain basement!
why all the moaning. I bought more @262 luvvly!
God helps us this week
Paddyboy, you lose credibility when you say a guaranteed 30% gain in the next year, there are no guarantess in investing.
Jtan, net debt has been reduced here!
Secretly, this is my advice. It's not BS & you can scroll back to my comments on here from last year if you want. I had a huge number of these shares built up last year during the low times ( Aug-Oct). 10's of 0000s of shares @at an average around 130ish. Like you i got nervous & sold the vast majority before the vaccine & missed out on a huge profit. I still don't understand why i sold really as i always had great confidence in this share. I think i got a bit spooked by the 2nd lockdowns. Anyway it's past history now. You have an average here @285. That is a good average. A guaranteed 30-50% gain within 12 months max IMO. The question you have to ask yourself is do you want this nice return in what is now post vaccine a very low risk investment or do you want quicker returns with more risk. Personally i have reentered here @278 & once it's back over £3 i might trade it a bit. All depends what else is out there really. Only YOU know your level of risk tolerance & when you decide that for yourself you can make your own informed judgments. GL
Also bear in mind that historically NEX was viewed as a dividend share, but it hasn't been paying dividends since COVID. That won't be the case forever; when (not if) NEX returns to profitability and reinstates the dividend the price should see an uptick (if it hasn't already).
Agreed. This company has a proven track record, is operating in an industry that is not about to disappear, and has been gobbling up contracts while competitors have floundered. If the price continues to go down I believe the correct thing to do would be to buy more (I won't, but only because my portfolio is already approaching 50% NEX already).
You need to reread the fundamentals of the company and keep your head straight. It's a great company with cash in hand to ride the challenges, it will bounce back, be patient.
Do any of you guys have any prices that you would sell at if it kept dropping further? Surely we can't be far away from a decent support figure now.
My average is 285 for about 40% of my portfolio so I am bit a nervous. I wish I had averaged in but made a school boy error.
I was tempted to sell last week and rebuy at a lower price but just could not see it dropping less then 270 and now low and behold. Typically, I Know if I sell now it will shoot up!
