From what I can find out the following organisation's have Covid-19 test supply contract's with several of the larger producers.
WHO. -Thermofisher and BGI
UNICEF-Roche and Thermofisher
Global Fund -CEPHEID and Abbott
These three organisation's have have formed a procurement model which seems to be constrained by the fact that the test manufacturers can't supply any extra kits such is the demand elsewhere. Now that Novacyt have the capability to produce 10,000,000 kit's a month they have a good opportunity of landing a regular contract.
If you use this link and then down load the Procuring diagnostics through the global fund pdf there is plenty of info.

Hi all from the 18th June Rns
COVID-HT test
COVID-HT is a new test for COVID-19 optimised for use in laboratories performing high volumes of tests. The CE Mark test has been designed and validated to perform at the same high levels of specificity and sensitivity as the Company's existing COVID-19 test.
COVID-HT uses the Company's proprietary master mix which, unlike the standard COVID-19 kit, requires no premixing, and the test components are packaged to facilitate a more streamlined workflow in a highly automated laboratory setting. As a result, COVID-HT is expected to improve operational efficiency and save time and labour associated with handling and preparing the test for use.
Where's the Roche specific part?
P.s not doubting just trying to learn:)
Pps what a great board today.
@gggg21 "You may all be very interested to hear that primer design new HT high throughput test is specifically for the Roche machines only......."
Wow, that is a big thing given Roche's mega reach all over the world! So basically one way or the other NVCT hitting bigger sales over next few months!
The surge happening all around the world and the winter season approaching means most countries would be trying to stock up on tests as recent news been showing that small outbreaks lead to thousands of tests. The opening of lockdowns and recent case increase in Germany, Portugal amongst others unfortunately show next 4 weeks would lead to surge in many places! This will lead to more test and Roche already cant meet demand!
I have a feeling with biotech companies enjoying record share prices, may be inclined for them to get into M&A activity.
Well so many possibilities that finally hopefully we are all going on a long awaited trip up North !
Everything seems to be nicely aligned, well done all, in for a penny and all that, going for another cheeky top up first thing.
People have been saying for sometime on this board that the demand exceeds supply and the market is big enough for everyone but not everyone will get the same share imo depending on product launch dates, partnerships, distribution agreements etc.
Totally impressed by the research done by the regulars here and it seems that sp should head north without the eagerly awaited sp lifting RNS. NCYT increase to 10 million tests was through arrangements with up to 6 other outfits. It is still production capacity!
Well well, something is cooking with roche. Why would they do that? They have definitley been in discussions. Are Roche about to take us out? What would you do if you was a multi billion pharma and potentially your biggest competitor was at 170 mcap. Hmm. I recal seeing something random about negotiaitons with roche earlier this month but dismissed it maybe they knew something... something is brewing and we will soon know what.
Let's help Roche by providing the tests they cannot provide !! :-)
You may all be very interested to hear that primer design new HT high throughput test is specifically for the Roche machines only.......
Great spot. They are our closest competitor aswel. It would be awesome if Graham said the same on the next update and as a result we are increasing manufacturing to 15 million. We have to be on that WHO order aswel so need to hear about that too. We could be at a billion pound revenue this time next year potentially!
Absolutely spot on, this coupled with the WHO news means they sell everything they can potentially produce
Thank you, so basically Novacyt definitely selling their entire production till now and over next many months given how the rate is increasing almost everywhere.
Fantastic find and share fella! Maybe now the market will realise and believe what others know. Everything novacyt is producing (10m a month) will be shifting. The numbers are astronomical compared to current mcap. This is why Exsig will fly and why prices will probably rise as it becomes an auction for our monthly production capacity. UK government better act very quick again or would a competitor want novacyt now just for production capacity alone and pay top whack....
great spot hasmak. i think this is the news story from Reuters

Just read in Guardian live blog:
"The Swiss pharmaceutical firm Roche is unable to meet demand for molecular tests to identify active Covid-19 infections, its chairman told the Swiss daily Tagesanzeiger."
Just goes on to show how the quick increase in production by Novacyt is and will be beneficial over the coming months
