If things get bad here, how many firms will be able to cope with most of their people off for up to 4 weeks of self isolation?
And you know people will play the card, isolation sickie for 2week
Absolutely, sure they will.
Anyone who is self employed will have the choice of self isolation and earn no money, or go to work with possible symptoms and pass it on. A lot of self employed people are only a couple of bad months away from complete financial collapse - business, mortgage etc...
yes and all those that receive sick pay will self isolate at the first sign of a sniffle - will cost companies billions
In Germany, people are honest and hard working. Germans also work hard, unlike the English, it seems.
AngryAnt - just realised he's a windup merchant - filtered
Up in Paris so why are we trading down.
Angry Ant re: "yes and all those that receive sick pay will self isolate at the first sign of a sniffle - will cost companies billions". So you call me a troll? You English people have a bad attitude. Sorry. German people do not go sick "at the first sign of a sniffle".
I said that not angry - thats why we need the test kits - p lonker
Sea of blue and more buys v sells. This should be up!
Saying all English people have a bad attitude is a generalisation. It’s like saying all Germans get up at 5am to put towels on their sunbeds by the pool......oh wait a minute, they do!
duster. Yes. I never said otherwise. I replied to you and Ant jumped in calling me a troll. You are also calling me English swearwords, which is even worse. German people are honest. You mentioned sniffles which means being false and dishonest.
lol - or we are thoughtful and don't want to pass on to our work mates
I don't speak german - sniffles in English is runny nose - good day to you
mornington. It is true. German people do that with towels. You prove my point about the English. Bad attitude to work and "costing companies billions".
How exactly do I prove your point?
Let's leave cultures out please, I'm Irish.
yes it is - well maybe not all - but alot - I,ve been staggering back to the hotel at 5 in the morning and seen them doing it
Sewerpunk, not sure why you’re posting here, seems you just want to bash the English and our work ethics.
schwerpunkt, actually going off sick saves companies billions through control of infection. As a company owner the last thing I want is an employee spreading an infection unwittingly because they took the fake macho stance of coming in when they shouldn't.
duster. Yes, Germans do it. I agree with you. English also stay away from work pretending to be sick, and get paid for it. Face it. Germans and English are complete opposites.
So you’re busy at work now are you?
mornington. I have a day off today - and not paid for it. Germans are honest, and do not go on chat lines at work. The English do not know hard times. This virus is serious for Germany. Poor Germany.
It’s serious for many countries, not just Germany. Stop wallowing in self pity!
German workers top the European Union in time off with an average of 30 days of paid leave plus 10 days of public holidays per year, the IW institute said on Monday.
