Mookster Good. At last you are providing information rather than saying weirdo, go away, ridiculous, Germany is not important etc. "The Polish distributor placed a £750k+ order with NCYT in the last few days." is interesting, but requires more detail. Assuming Germany will do the same is wishful.
Mookster Most of the posts are London centric, even though London is mostly Sarscov2 free. It doesn't mean they aren't valid. Germany is more important as it is being hurt badly, and has advanced tests.
Mookster. I think the stock is wildly overvalued. That doesn't make me a weirdo. You can say "goodbye", but that won't help NOVACYT.
whufpaul I am interested. I think it is an important issue. The problem is that people don't understand the way tests are conducted. You cannot shout down people because they are trying to get to the truth. Not everyone is looking to buy. If that was the case, then there would be no sellers.
Poland is not an island and is facing the same disaster as Germany and Russia. Germany and Russia border Poland.
Germany has a crisis with Sarscov2. It is testing candidates flat out. The Government is using their own tests rather than commercial ones like NOVACYT. For that reason, I wouldn't buy.
In Germany, the Government is developing, building, implementing and using their own testing kits. China is doing the same, and the Germans are using Chinese expertise to model and test their systems. Surely corporations like NOVACYT will find it hard to sell their kits, if other Governments are following China and Germany's lead. England is the big market we are all interested in. But there are not many cases of SARS- CoV-2 in England anyway.
So what are we going to discuss about NYCT? The problem is that most bought NYCT as part of the solution to this virus epidemic. In theory, the stock should have gone up a lot, as things got worse. They haven't. There must be a reason, but I like most others are not experts. People are being tested, but what products are being used? I am familiar with the Petrischale. Is this method used?
It is not a pandemic as of now.
A pandemic, a word from the Greek pan ("all") and demos ("people"), is the term used by disease experts when epidemics are growing in multiple countries and continents at the same time.
Most of the cases are coming from China and South Korea. People travelling from these places are infecting others in countries such as in Iran and Italy. Outside a handful of countries, there are very few cases.
Of course, if the situation changes so that the definition becomes true, the disease could become a pandemic, but it certainly isn't now.
So what? American is no more important than other countries. Anyway, 108 is a very low number. Germany has double that amount, and no one is reporting that.
Thanks for the info. We need more informed opinion like this.
Really? You are saying 140 from a base of 111. That is a 26% gain!! The Dow went up 5.1% and it was the biggest points gain ever! You are really an optimist.
The stock is currently placed at around 110. Investors are best to hold here. It shouldn't sink below 90 in the short term. The swing seem to have consolidated around 105-155. The virus is still around. If the test kit is any good, they should be able to sell it. Remember what I said - don't be greedy, a 50% profit is OK. Many would have bought around 80. So Anything above 130 should cover the 50% plus costs.
alamo55 "Bulletin boards are just a vehicle for people who want to let off steam, they do not influence the sp one iota"
Absolutely correct. Some people also try to warn new investors that stock with large swings in price can go down as well as up. As for predicting which way the stock will go, I have no idea. There does seem to be a lot of questions and not many answers about the actual product (reliability, risk, testing, competitors) who will buy it, and who the end users are.
AngryAnt Re: "I haven't put anyone away." Yes you have! You said I was "filtered". No doubt your other sock puppet id maqsood7 is filtering people you don't like too. You said "some people when they sell the share, they just go away or keep quiet and wait for re entry quietly, but some people start deramping as soon as they sell just to get another entry!!". That so obviously refers to me. Sure I sold, and may or may not get back in at a lower price. I am not "deramping" which is some word that only you (AngryAnt/maqsood7) use.
re: Personally think this will be 50p within a few weeks. It has been a crazy ride but this is just way over priced.
hmmm. the problem is that no one knows what they are buying into. At least with JNJ, you can see their products and buy them. Personally, I have no idea what the correct price is. The £3 people seem to think it is undervalued, but won't give as hard evidence as to why.
Based on the history of Novacyt, it seems to find a level, and stays there. In early 2018, it was steady at around 0.65. It then slumped right down to 0.06, in mid 2019. With the latest virus, the stock went up to a peak of 1.80, and fluctuated wildly, going back to around 0.90. It has now settled around 1.30 - 1.40, where I think it will stay for some time. People are (still) talking it up, saying it will reach £3 or even £5. That was possible earlier, but NOVOCYT appears to have bypassed that scenario. It could easily slide back down, right down, once the virus threat has passed, and it will pass. Best approach is to take profit. I have already.
matarakz The stock opened at 150. It is now 134. When I suggested the trade it was 136.50, which is around 10% down. Why are you calling me a liar?
It is down around 10% now.
Bluelight It will soon retreat. There will be plenty of time for you to buy.
