Morning robleo, I have lower my order from £2 to £1.95 this morning. Don't know if it will be triggered or not.
The market is having a big dip this morning. I think my half LGEN now is in danger of falling back to big losses again, but let's hope not.
Have a great day mate and good luck.🤞🤞
Sidi, that was a smart move of yours selling at 240, why didn't you tell me?
only joking mate, i wonder what price you will get back in at
Yep - I've being watching on the sidelines as a long-term hold option for my ISA, and have just bought in today with some cash already in the ISA. I intend to buy more shortly in the coming tax year. GLA
Surely it will get the kick from the new isa year - got to be a good one to have inside an isa?
I did have 1.90 in mind for adding here, but if it continues to rise instead, i will be quite happy to just hold what i have for now, a win either way really

This share generally needs a kick up the rear to get it moving, not one of natures early risers.
Added, small.
Absolutely zero chance of seeing £1.80 (unless there is another pandemic or a further war breaks out). Ex-dividend the reason for the majority of the drop and the further incidental 1-2% could be down to anything, end of tax year, dubiety on rate cuts, etc.
This will start to rise again next week and I don't see it dropping much more (if at all) from where it sits now. I suspect it will be back in the 220s next week, with a rise up to at least £2.50 come summer and after that, when things settle down, interest rates are cut, the wars come to a close, the markets settle, etc. who knows how high it will go.
The results were decent, dividends maintained and all staff have been given chunky bonuses and wage rises. The company is in a good place and the share price will catch up with that sooner or later.
Todays price is an excellent buy price and if I had spare cash I'd be buying today. I'll be absolutely astounded if anyone manages to get in at £1.80 (world wars or other major events notwithstanding).
Best of luck all
Why the big drop?
The shares went ex-div on 28th March.
This is basic stuff.
I have altered it to £2. 😂😂
Thanks for that Mary, I better revise my buy order to a lower entry then, lol.😂😂
“Why such a big drop ?”
Easter. A large part of the City is skiing, so thin trading volumes.
Retail punters are selling end of year to bed-and-ISA into a thinly traded market.
It will eventually retrace to sub 180p. No hurry to but but may start around 195p
Why such a big drop ?
'predictable'..
...and expected. Have my order in to buy @ 210. Probably it will drop lower than that. Brace yourselves everyone, and good luck.
I'm holding around 4 company shares just prior to ex divi date. Not sold any yet. Divi payouts early May. So looking fwd to receiving them.
MVarawa, just been reading your posts on Lloyd's bb over the past few days 😃 recommends from me!
I'm out of Lloyd's as it's joined with no 10/establishment.
226p sell sounds about right after ex divi.
gl with your trades.

I have a sell in at 226, will buy back at 220 and repeat, build up your shares with out forking out any money .
The spread covers the trading and tax but leaves enough to build up the holding .
But everyone to their own.
Hoping to add a few more.
Buy order set 220p

I brought some share (in another company)the day before ex div date and sold a week later(at a small profit) to check this theory have to wait a couple more days before payment date. Let you know if it didn’t work
B-w-f
“Ex-dividend “ means “without dividend”. Hence the Ex date of the 28th meant that the 28th was the first date that you buy the shares without the dividend. So the last date to buy with the div was 27th.
Hopefully this clarifies the situation.
Yeah, no intention to sell for a while. Thx for helping answer my query. Some nice divi stocks out there.
Lamorama
Yes you’re good for this dividend even if you sell next week. No need to hold until payment date, but wouldn’t advise selling too soon as hopefully SP will recover.
I bought quite a few on 26th. Still holding now, so I guess I'm eligible for the dividend payment ? Thx.
