Understand Jackbal but if any numbers release / confirm on revenue from Pathway etc, hoping this will be a rocket rather than jet ski! Snail pace for now, but happy to wait... Or corporate activity before then??? Dyor
Happy to hold but the urge to add more disappeared when the rns stirred very little reaction in the SP
Bit boring for a micro cap imo but the mcaps low enough to still hope and expect to see a decent return within a month or two
I’ll sell above .3 if/when as this ones not giving me the excitement that I want from a gamble. Each to their own of course.
Some people go to the beach to lie down, some go to jet ski...
Horses for courses but this trots a bit slow for me!
Maybe some more director buys would cement the update and generate some movement, albeit CEO has already bought recently and provided loan!
HBurgh,
Yes we could do with something stirring here, I'm amazed at the lack of interest after a really positive update!!!
Mr T
Malvern are having their NCUK Launch Event at Malvern House London - 17 March 2021, hopefully will stir some more interest.
Hi Gopaddy..you’re right there, just confirmation of what we already knew. Its certainly going to be a slow burner, will be topping up a few more into my ISA early April if it remains below 0.3 like this. Let’s hold for gold in the long term, cheers & GL
Hi Brazos yes agree I think again solid confirmation of progress based on previous comms, hence no major new news I suppose, but outlook also excellent, revenue could really accelerate now that schools back and I feel the rns’s are thorough but conservative / realistic, compared with some which are about fireworks and inflated expectations!! Expecting steady medium term growth
Fantastic RNS indeed. The sp upward momentum faltered due to a few sellers and lack of buyers. However, with this type of news, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time b4 we start seeing consistent upward momentum. GLA
Agree with everything written today, good RNS with positive news both for now and the future. Great to get an update from team Malvern, its very important that us shareholders get that two way communication, far too many companies forget about that. Looking forward to the next few months and years with the company.
Full 900k not received but vast majority, and excellent news that short term loan can be repaid at this time I.e. there is some cash headroom, numbers building and to me overall this looks like a very steady and calculated road to recovery - well done so far team Malvern. Also market launch of NCUK next week, all building nicely
China is the biggest global market (50%) for Malvern's sector yet hitherto they have had zero exposure so, over time, with the new team in place there should be the potential to massively increase the size of the business to multiples of historic sales and profits. Only needs planes to start flying again as all the other business aspects are in place. Planes likely to begin from most non Red zone countries in May I believe.
Well that's a very positive start to the week. Looking like the growth could possibly be exponential over the coming years
Good look team malvern
Toby
think we may see a few big trades pop up later
Amazed we’re not well higher on this update ... yet
and interesting about #China...As part of our recruitment strategy, we have identified the need for a regional Head of Sales in China and plan to build a sales team in that market. China is the biggest international student market to the UK for Higher Education provision and junior summer camps.
looks like a decent update to me
University Pathway student numbers for the January UEL International Study Centre (ISC) intake resulted in 43 students. This takes the total number of foundation students in UEL ISC to 167 for the 2020-21 academic year, representing growth of 90% from the previous year's academic calendar. It is a significant achievement to grow the centre in such challenging conditions.
Outlook
T here remains strong demand for our education products. We expect further growth in the University Pathway division in September 2021. With the accelerated vaccine rollout, we are hopeful that there will be a plan to safely open international travel before the summer and expect the language business division to build up to normal levels by the end of the year.
For these reasons and with a significantly stronger and experienced management team now in place, we remain positive about the outlook for the Company.
Morning,
Significant RNS this morning, £761K received and bridging loans repaid. Balance of the £900K is hoped will be received in Q but the company has stressed that it may not recover all of the outstanding amount. However this is excellent news as the majority of the debtor is now settled and in these uncertain times to my mind that is good news.
Also trading update is upbeat and there will be a marketing launch 17 March 2021 in London as follows:
NCUK
Further to our successful application to become a NCUK accredited delivery centre in London, there will be a marketing launch on 17 March to officially open our NCUK London centre in Kings Cross. From September 2021, Malvern will accept international and EU students on a nine-month NCUK International Foundation Year.
NCUK is a consortium owned by leading UK universities dedicated to giving international students guaranteed access to universities worldwide.
The programme is designed to prepare international students for undergraduate study, usually at a UK university. On completion of the course, students have guaranteed progression options to over 20 leading partner universities in the UK, as well as established universities in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
All in all an excellent update.
Mr T
Hi MrTriumph yes all the previous updates point to a strong move if and when confirmed - I’m hoping the fact that all quiet and ticking along (albeit slightly down) is purely because under the radar business as usual - payment in and increasing numbers / good outlook and who knows where we’ll be at!
Gopaddy,
Yes indeed doors open next week so it would be good to have some updates now, interest here is currently waning apart from that huge buy yesterday. Also must be close to an update regarding the £900K due to us as it was stated this is expected to be received in Q1 this year. Those two pieces of news alone would send this up into the .040's imo.
From RNS Jan 2021
The purpose of this new borrowing is to provide bridging finance to ensure the Company has sufficient working capital pending the payment of a significant trade debtor amounting to in excess of £900,000 which is expected to be paid in quarter one 2021.
Mr T
Over half a percent of co in that buy yesterday, will be interesting to see if increased holding notified or even better if Dir purchase... doors open next week again
Indeed! Interesting
very nice.
Just in 7.7 m buy
