All part of the same regime, but the AG seems to be dragging his heels. The President and Mining Ministry seem keen. Can they get the AG in an armlock or something. Pressure needed. Little point Malawi pushing its mining sector without MDAs to enable mining.
Ironically it's not Alex or Monica that are the problem here. It's the inexperience at the money level for Malawi.
The danger is solely on Malawi if MKA, Lotus and others walk away giving up on the process as others won't touch it with a barge pole.
I believe the MDA is closer that ever in honesty. You tend to get this type of rhetoric amidst final negotiations. You will note the wording "not this month" ftom the AG. Not a not this year/ever.
I will say, globe must have bent over and taken a big one. Interested on how it turns out for them.
It reminds me slightly of RBW when burundi wanted to renegotiate their MDA. RBW moved on and away from the mine and are on the cusp of a low capex/opex alternate revenue source. A mistake on Burundis part.
Now, revenue from recycling this year, expansion to Germany and US with Cotec. SUPER EXCITING times.
The MDA will land btw
The fact he hasn’t signed anything and is assessing the future of the Songwe Hill project shows he’s not messing around, it’s clear he’ll walk away. Give the man a break..
step 1 tell monica to stick it up her orifice while chakwera watches!
step 2 focus 100% on the "super" exciting and essential requirements of the largest free market in the world - or remain bogged/tied down in the proven corrupt desperate 3rd world - "screw all we can" out of the west african ideolgy! lemon - you are living up to your name!!!!!!!, you said you were talking to malawi on a "daily basis"!!!! - are you discussing your f'in latest wordle score or what? i assume your wordle word of the day/week/month/year is fails as you couldn't negotiate your way out of a paper bag. **** off and let some serious entity take on your technology - as obvs you have no clue what to do with it! write off songwe and switch all management, time, energy, focus, marketing and resources to the infinite world of recycling. ffs who needs a "strategic review" -it is a no f'in brainer! ... vent over...
Nice ndpr bounce too.....

Not this month but negotiations on going...its been a year in May since AG got involved. Hope Malawi don't regret it after MKA strategic review.
"Chances are low that the Government of Malawi, through Attorney General (AG) Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda, may sign mining development agreements (MDAs) for Lotus Resources and Mkango Resources Limited this month, with the AG insisting that he is not ready to sign the agreements.
Government signed the MDA for Globe Metals
“There are issues the three parties are yet to agree on. An agreement reflects what parties discussed and mutually agreed” said Nyirenda.
He added that with this two companies (Lotus Resources and Mkango Resources Limited), they haven’t reached an agreement yet. There is a need for patience and perseverance in order to achieve the desired results."
Regardless MKA are well placed with recycling and the asset.
Closing, closing, closing, get that MDA RNS rolling ...
3,000,000 share trade
Blimey
Hopeful for grant funding news soon likely before MDA

1.1m @ 6.75 late trade Friday delayed from 9.30 unlikely to be a sell and would explain tick up in bid
£200k delayed @ 6s now - interesting ...
Another little tick-up for Neodymium ...
Maybe one of the 5pps private placees reducing their existing shareholding (so as to maintain their pre placement %age perhaps) ahead of admission of the placing shares. Effectively £20k trousered on 2m @ 6p. Should pay for their round tonight...
That was my impression too. If so, hardly uncommon on AIM.
If we remain above the 5p placing price in the weeks ahead though, that would be quite bullish, IMO. GLA.
Who knows but I'm impressed that someone was willing to take that amount at 6p.
Yes, interesting.
No further explanation?
Followed by all £10 worth of stock firstb thing the next morning (this morning)
Someone forward-selling their placing shares?
2M @ 6p
Neodymium ticked up slightly again.
That's a big un.
They become exercisable in August 2024, so no sale pressure until then at least.
It's 600K shares at 5p (£30K) it's hardly going to hold back the share price.
Anyone got a read on how those 5p warrants might apply the handbrakes?
