Header say ALL!
- Dornod (Mining / Oil production) Investment Conference NEXT WEEK organize by Mining Ministry and held in Governor meeting hall with MMHI / MRPAM official there.
- Mongolia running out of fuel (A-80 gasoline will last 12 DAYS, A1-92 last 19 DAYS, A1-95 last 30 DAYS, Diesel Fuel last 21 DAYS) Source: MMHI
Special Permit final signature WILL get done and why local govt willing to bypass full process. Even if they did try to block they cannot by new Laws which mean imprisonment.
With FUEL CRISIS and Project of National Importance all can see WILL happen and think very soon now with situation & MMHI/MRPAM direct dealing with local council!
RNS red dot will be here very soon.
Price Rise when RNS come?
For me this is not big discussion because of timeframe for holding thru full ACCELERATED field development & PARALLEL est 3 BILLION bbl Toson Uul development.
BUT
Think mr Hamm say it right with ROLLING GOOD NEWSFLOW / RNSs - DQE, New Blocks, JVs, Renewable Updates, First Revenues etc
ALSO
Think LARGE BUYERS who look to PRODUCTION / REVENUE will move in to replace small holders. People talk about my triple digit target but just on know asset target is more then X10 current price.
Large holder will look at this more seriously then small holder and understand Petrovis will want ROI so dividend will be quicker then people think.
Just look at price move & low volume yesterday to maybe understand how UPTREND will be.
Make own decision but this post is logical view with no time waste of emotion / insult to other.
Be Wise & focus on Investment 🦉
HOVD province first one to start run out of fuel - 9th Nov "There is a shortage of fuel in some areas of Hovd province, there is no A1-92 gasoline at most gas stations, and there are interuptions." - Source: montsame.mn
A1 - 92 only have 19 day of fuel left for whole country!
By time of Dornod Mining / Oil Investment Conference whole of Mongolia will ONLY have 11 day of A1-92 fuel and about 13 day of diesel.
Dornod Governor, MMHI, MRPAM will all be present. You think Domestic production (Petro Matad) will be discuss at Mining / Oil Production conference in Dornod?
Nothing much happening? Lol
It is being discuss NOW intelligent person will think 🦉
//Researchandhold said //BP is like a stain on humanity////
Oh dear! Conflating current fuel supply problems with the prospects for PM in several years time really is clutching at straws.
It’s being discussed now WOS ?
Intelligent person think.
Hang on let me get my savings together sell my wife and accept a ridiculous offer on my house to pile into MATD …. Or is it the 255th time in the last 255 days that you’ve spouted this. I think you’ve been hacked … ring someone up in Africa and tell them someone has hacked you, and you want help clearing this character out of your system,,,, he’s deluded
I haven't been aware before that Mongolia faces significant oil and fuel supply issues before Gary.
It's surely significant at all levels?
Day to day trying to run a car or heat your home.
At a regional level trying to decide what policies, restrictions or rationing measures are required to keep essential local infrastructure and services running.
And at a National Government level to decide how best to secure short term supplies and longer term solutions?
Perhaps the National and Local authorities might see the bigger picture and decide to co-operate for the best outcome for all concerned?
And if it's being discussed now you'd expect news to follow fairly soon there after.
If my local petro station had run out of petrol I'd want to know what was being done by those in a position of power to try to sort it out.
Wouldn't you?
Of course you would.
Pressure builds until something gives. Newtonian 'laws' applied to Mongolian Politcs?
I agree it can only be good news Mongolia are suffering fuel shortages. But all this talk of locals having meetings to discuss things… what?! They have been instructed to get this done by central government as a matter of national importance, so get the F on with it. There is surely nothing more to discuss.
Agree Doc. If the Mongolians can't unblock this regulatory/red tape/"appease the locals" pipe in order to release hundreds of millions of barrels of oil, at a time when the country is facing crippling fuel shortages, then they really are beyond incompetent..
At the risk of sounding like WOS (!) - hopefully not too much longer to wait now.
ATB & GLA
Hypothetically Doc if the 'powers that be' have decided that needs to be sorted by the start of drilling season 2024 then they've got two choices.
Impose their will and ram it down the local's throats and then just deal with the ensuing activist's protests or try to engage and get to happen by mutal consent?
With 'ramming it down the local's throat a Jan/Feb back up plan perhaps?
So long as it happens.
Doc, i think it is only good that the meeting on the 16th/17th has been arranged by MMHI. IMO MMHI know there is anti oil exploration/exploitation in Dornod province, mainly due to the actions of Petro China and that locals have never benefited from it. Add in the constant negativity from the Eco Activists, with the main woman also Dornod born, i believe they are taking the side of being against all exploration. Tbh can't blame them.
Therefore MMHI are there to talk about Responsible mining and to answer questions from locals. Instead of them hearing a biased point of view they can see how they can benefit, when there is responsible mining.
Also if locals are also aware or made aware that Petro China have been warned to clear up their act, i can only see good coming out of it. Add on top MMHI saying look at the fuel shortage you are witnessing we need to be exploiting our own oil and gas and this is why we are saying it is of National Importance. Well that's my take on it. Hopefully good comes out of it for us investors.
WOS is right.... no, sorry, meant to say WOS might be right. One day.
Same as a stopped clock is correct twice a day. It's inevitable.
One day.....
Too right Short, I used to be invested in Rockhopper and have half a mind to get 'back in' with a share of my Petro Matad profits before the FID on their Sealion field - I know cart and horse - but that's taken more than an age.
The situation here looks to be coming to a bit of a head, something will have to give and I don't think it'll be the Mongolian Government.
