I posted re the merits of AIM vs US for company listing.
My other concern is the shifting of the world order. The world is in the most dangerous place of my life right now, and I have seen too many decades for my liking!
Concerns are based on the line that seems to be forming from Russia Ukraine, down to Israel Gaza with pent up anger in Syria and Iran and into Turkey, now affecting the Red Sea. Pictures of Putin with the Ayatollah of Iran and the oil rich Prince in Saudi Arabia. The oil controlled to the East of this line holds the West to ransom and they talk of a small spike due to the Houthi attacks. Yemen is now being dragged in and the weapons come from China. The trade route is being threatened.
Most western democracies have become so liberal and weak, they are in a mess. US President and future President looks hopeless, UK government is going to collapse and a new dawn is starting on their streets with real problems that stretch across europe too, where the EU are also in a mess politically and can not seem to defend Europe by supporting the Ukraine properly.
Then we have our huge potential lovely investment in MATD, a nice AIM listed IOM based oil company courting the corridors of power in Mongolia with huge sizeable reserves of black gold. As I have stated about a year ago, Mongolia is sandwiched between China and Russia who both seem complicit in ensuring the balance of power shifts from the West to the Saudis, Russians and Chinese and quietly including India. China has agreed with the Saudis to price oil in Chinese Renminbi(RMB) which they fear will undermine the US$ a bit more. This is a first and a huge thing.
All of this leads to a lot of head winds with our investment potentially behind enemy lines and looking very very vulnerable.
I am not seeking to be a suicidal doom monger, but this is all happening and nothing I have stated is factually false. There are dots and if they link together and hold, we could be in a bad way here!
Thoughts anyone?
Matd is a sub £40m oil explorer with no oil coming out of the ground. I don’t think it is on the geopolitical radar of china and Russia. If it does start producing oil, it will need to get to a 5B mcap before it even gets on their radar.
Liberalism usually gets taken advantage off ,,, the Wests youth are ripe for picking. BW
Yes Jamins. Sub £40 million and off the radar. But a very easy target to strangle and cut off through sanctions or simple invasion. Nothing can move out of Mongolia unless through China or Russia. If China decided the minerals and natural reserves are too valuable, they could take over Mongolia in a day as they did with Tibet.
Things are shifting and not nicely.
if china’s economy was strong i would tend to agree with you. however it is stuggling and getting worse. xi went all the way to the us for a charm offensive last year (as charming as the chinese get). they have seen what the west did to russia with regard sanctions post invasion of ukraine. china has way, way more to lose if they got such sanctions, so won’t be ******* anyone off for the next few years.
The West seems more keen on defending other people's borders more than it's own which are wide open to anyone.
Sending billions to the Ukraine has in effect also sent well over half a million Ukrainian men to their deaths.
Peace was ready to be signed between the Ukraine and Russia, but as always, people in globalist Western governments wanted war because it makes and launders a lot of money.
The US blew up Nord Stream 2 and we're supposed to believe that the Russians blew up their own pipeline ....
All I'm saying is that I don't trust our own governments, let alone Russia and China et al.
The EU have done nothing to defend Europe either.
If anything, they seem to go out of their to destroy anything European and replace Europeans in their own lands.
We are in the worst state since WW2, and it has all been totally avoidable. It's almost as though we are being attacked from within by our own leaders.
Anyway, regarding MATD ... (apologies for the rant)
From a very selfish point of view, the need for oil is only going to increase if anything, so if the Mongolians ever get their finger out and finally allow Matad to produce, then I think MATD will be fine regardless.
With the exception of a global catastrophe happening like WW3 .... which Biden and globalist governments seem to want.
How long does is take for money to be transferred in Mongolia though? Seriously .....
Like many, I have been here for a while with a substantial investment and have been beyond patient.
Hopefully our patience will be rewarded soon.

WOW - plenty of serious & unfounded allegations there Blue!
Not really BP. Been here on this earth a while now. Seen to many "unfounded allegations" turn to be totally founded over the years. Still think there are WMD's in Iraq? That war cost well over a million lives and totally destabilised the Middle East.
The Ukraine and Russia were ready to sign a peace deal giving Russia the Donbas region back, but the UK, US and NATO put a block on it and told Zelensky that he could beat Russia, consequently sending countless Ukrainians and Russians into the meat grinder.
Billions of £, € and $ later and where are we? Our governments say there's no money to help our own people but as soon as there is a chance of getting involved in a war that could be avoidable, they make sure it isn't avoided.
Sad but true.
Researchandhold said //BP is like a stain on humanity//
You forgot to mention the lizard people!
Manxkipper - you're a bit pessimistic today I see?
If you just added Putin accidentially causing nuclear war you'd have covered the lot.
You conviently forgot to actually try and refute anything that I said.
What does that insinuate? :)
Researchandhold said //BP is like a stain on humanity//
Blue - I don't have any evidence to refute your claims but I don't believe you have evidence to support them.
(I never thought Iraq had WMD - surprised anyone did. Iran was & is the greater threat.)
Just to point out why is Iran a threat? They won't do anything unless we the west upset them, can anyone seriously not see it's us the west that is constantly causing problems and wars Around the world, we are the godless lieing cheating thieves
Our culture has even gone we don't have one and men think they are women and some cut off their parts, we are the ones that's crazy not anyone else on this planets it's us look
Researchandhold - you are absolutely right.
Bad nights sleep, too many plates spinning, too much thinking going on in my head.
As stated, all a hypothetical outcome and if linked together with all of the pieces forming a new order , then totally possible.
Let's hope not. Time for LP and new locks and renewable and pumping revenue and intergalactic super warp speed SP price rerate.
BP I do have evidence to support them because they are wars that are based on blatant lies. Lies that still happily consume even though you apparently knew that Iraq was a total lie …
Why believe a government to at lied about that play countless other massively detrimental things to us and the world since?
People with cognitive dissonance about such thing come out “lizard people” insults etc because they know deep down, we are constantly being lied to by people that are supposed to be looking out for us.
Good post Cyberton.
Exactly right and better put than my weak leadership and woke liberalism notion.
There is strong and clever leadership going on in the east. Tight rules.with boundaries where people know who they are and what they are doing and why.
The West has lost that and we are blindingly vulnerable.
Cybertron - Totally agree.
It’s beyond me how people still have selective blindness to such things and believe literally anything that western media and governments tell them. World has gone mad. Well … the Western world has.
Bluntly - is there a mother of all wars brewing here and about to kick off!!!!?????
It certainly feels very very imminent.
So your saying you want the terrorist countries in power
Back towards 6/7.
Researchandhold said //BP is like a stain on humanity//
Master - any increase from the current level is "towards 6/7* it's also "towards" 10p & "towards" 30p.
Stating the bleedin' obvious!
It is pointless to speculate about global events when discussing a very small E & P company.
I am reminded of the great gold fund manager Julian Baring, who back in the 1980s and early 1990s always said about the macro economic and political risks of South African mining companies "the risk is always the same, "awful", it is just that at times it is more awful than at other times".
Mongolia has been fought over by Russia and China for centuries. A hundred years ago they aligned themselves with the bolsheviks, to protect against the Chinese, only to be subsumed in Stalin's time, before regaining autonomy. It remains closely aligned with Russia militarily but tries to balance its economy between Russia, China and the outside world. This inevitably means that the risks in today's world are substantial, but that is unlikely to change any time soon.
Manxkipper - understood .
Yes, we all get them from time to time .
Leads to too much catastrophic thinking which psychologically we're wire to be more receptive to " fight or flight" wiring especially in the early hours of morning.!
Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight and then we all wake up to a block buster RNS. Cheers.
Reseachandhold, something tells me we may be seeing a Rns tmrw or this week, got a funny feeling like I sometimes get just before a Rns lands,
Cybertron - Without wanting to sound weird ..... I like the sound of your funny feelings.
