Look what we have toady I was so right thank the great lord
toli/i would ignore short term SP,and i take little notice of analyst forecasts, especially if they are from the companies broker. What i do take notice of is the RNSs "Holdings in company" they come out at 7am on the LSE site. They will tell you where the money is going, who is selling and buying, If the likes of Blackrock,Liontrust,Schroders or Slater are buying or selling i am interested
I think they do that to knock down the price to allow buyers to come on board. I have yet to see a share go as low as the lowest analyst .Who knows
I am not sure but assuming you are a fellow hammer ! Good to see.
I appreciate the £263, 000,000 buy at 16:35 is UT but there were other significant purchases after hours, does this have anything to do with the RNS at 5:30 pm? Thanks in advance...
Thanks Stevie - appreciate it
scallop/Berenberg rating ,LSEG share news on here
Double bounce of low £71.00 looking good
I think Steven also bought another 750 at 7180 - he has been buying a lot recently which must be a good sign ? Where can I see the berenberg rating - I can only see Deutsche down to 7000 ?
Hi Stevie, I clicked on the broker ratings here on LSE above. Good to hear that Berenberg are still forcasting £100. Thanks for that.
Thinker/i didnt see the Deutsche downgrade, they always give a reason why in the report. I did see the Berenberg one they cut their forecast from £118 to £100,reflecting investor concerns and reduced earning estimates, Apart from that i thought the report was bullish, saying that they thought this was now a buying opportunity.
Just seen an RNS. Steven O'Connor purchasing 750 @7196p. Nearly 54k worth. Director purchase gives some confidence to me that LSEG drop may be reaching the bottom.
No idea Thinker - I find it very surprising ( and a little worrying) given the prior and not so distant ratings. Happy to see how this plays out now we are a little clearer from the RNS yesterday.
Does anyone have any thoughts on why Deutsche downgraded this yesterday from 9100p to 7000p? My opinion is that LSEG will retrace as its a solid stock and has served me well in the past. Just curious...
I have decided to buy today, pretty good value at this price. I had been monitoring this for a while and scratching my head like many of us but the RNS does go some way to explain what's behind this hence why I've taken the plunge today.
I'm now invested with a target range of £80 to £85.
..at its worst. The usual ' the have and the have nots' and the 'us and them' scenario.
Well, it looks like the reason the share price has been manipulated down to these levels has been revealed. York Holdings obviously wanted to extract some cash out of the Refinitiv deal now and so are conducting a large placement for institutional investors. Some of their shares (which are not currently free-float and don't currently carry votes) will be listed once taken up by the institutional investors. I suspect that they've been planning this for a while (i.e. since before the Refinitiv deal was concluded) and that the institutional investors had already indicated they would be happy to take part in a placement at this sort of level. Worth noting we are at a very similar level now to where the share price jumped to in 2019 - immediately after the Refinitiv deal was announced - funny that! Now, in theory, this announcement should have no major bearing on the share price in normal circumstances as it's nothing more than unlisted shares changing hands and becoming listed shares with full voting rights, there will be no dilution or consolidation of existing listed shares. My guess, it won't be long after the placement that the retrace starts. After all, the institutional investors wouldn't be interested in taking part in such a large placement if they didn't think it represented good value.
deep/ Dig deep, see if you can come up with $27 billion!!
Thanks for reply @steviewonder ...
Will dwell a bit more into Refinitiv
deep/i cant see it tearing up trees in the next 24 months, because of the Refinitiv deal. At these levels your money should be safe,if the management are right and the Refinitiv acquisition is a success, this could double in 3 years,,be lucky
Just bought a few hundred shares to start investing...
Reading mode at the moment and digesting the BB. (Thank you to all contributors).
Wondering if this is a good big bet for a 12 -24 months investment?
Moving up again fear not
toli/for me its all about bringing my average down,i dont trade,i buy and hold, unless the fundamentals change
