The eurozone economy is growing half as fast as the UK as Britain bounced back stronger from recession.
GDP across the eurozone grew by 0.3pc in the first quarter of the year, according to figures from Eurostat.
It means that while its recession is over, growth is still half the 0.6pc recorded in the UK during the same period, a rate described as “gangbusters” by officials.
The robust UK economic conditions, certainly leading this part of the world, say no more.
The European Union's GDP is estimated to be $19.35 trillion in 2024.
UK GDP is somewhere between 3 and 4 trillion, and you not in the club any longer.
Hardly comparing apples with apples here are we hardup¿

Well try asking the author of the thread.
GDP growth in recent years
UK GDP in Q1 2024 was 1.7% above its pre-pandemic level of Q4 2019. This compares with Eurozone GDP being 3.4% higher, with GDP in Germany up by 0.3%. The US had the highest GDP growth among G7 economies over this period at 8.7%. - 6 days ago
Mr Mitty.
EU, GDP is a multiple of how many countries?
The USA with a comparable population is over $25 +trillion
The UK is one small country.
Yes compare but do it logically.
I have kept this short due to your lack to absorb, anything longer than a paragraph.

Just for you for now, to much information confuses you.
On GDP why as our importation of millions of extra mouths not driven an Increase in GDP, as promised by so many.
But anyone who as actually read Keynes and his theory on increasing GDP by population manipulation ie mass immigration. Would have read that he, himself asserted that it was not sustainable! That was in the early 1930s.
What are your thoughts on Mr McFaddan MP.
Nearly 55p Mr Mitty . This must be your top bank holding y the amount of time you spend dwelling over it, I take it you have a PA looking after your other 6 international bank shareholdings !

After about the quick rise of about 35% from the low 40's , Lloyds it appears at the moment has gone into a slower daily burn mode which I am happy with for the buyback . Makes it a drawn out painful experience for some.

Very good, in fact, they have done better over the last month than that. So that's a gain of 9.4% for Legal and General. Lloyds are up 10.46% over the last month.
UK is the world's fastest-growing G7 economy for 3 of the past 4 years since gaining formal Brindependence in 2021. UK is now gaining an intense head of steam. Time for the Tories to start slashing big taxes in H2 2024, and cement the UK's growth position as a new tiger economy.
