Agree! The unions representatives can boil their heads in oil!
30% increase for a working week reduced from 5 days to 3.5/4 not credible.
Some would get second jobs in their 3.5 day window.
ATISHA, of course it has nothing to do with underfunding.
Which parallel universe do you reside in?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Donkey, yes seems the split shift system like you describe, is the way to go.
Let's hope that Labour implement it. However given the backdrop that the unions are looking for a 30% salary increase, might be a tough call getting any change in work practices...
Long live brexit, sink the boats, arise sir nige, enoch was right, close the borders, sticky toffee what a idiot lefty you are lol.

''But A1's posts at a glance give an insight into the long term trend of the share count which is useful for gauging the effectiveness of buyback's over the years. ''
Historical share count trends can be found very quickly for anyone interested at any time they wish - a regular long list on here is not necessary in my view, and in any case I believe that all but the most stupid would know that the trend is down when buybacks are a policy and in operation.
Also the figures do not gauge the direct effectiveness of buyback programmes.
The effectiveness of the buybacks can be found in posts that I make when necessary.
historical share counts
https://www.statista.com/statistics/474455/uk-lloyds-banking-group-number-of-shares-in-issue/
Without buybacks there would be 76,651,704,843 shares in issues having bought back so far a total of 13,768,619,893
''others would have to trawl back through all the RNS's individually to collate the figures.''

Re: NHS, being retired I don't try and book an appointment Monday or Friday as that's prime time for those swinging the lead.
Actually agree with Starmer's 7 day week idea, with a splt shift system Wednesday to Saturday and Sunday to Wednesday. Overlap Wednesday could be refined once the backlog reduced. They'd work 3.5 to 4 days a week. Could be incentivised as well. Just needs a bit of imagination and good will to make it work. Probably never happen as socialists prefer to use NHS as a political football.
Yes, The NHS is innundated with looking after Immigrants hence the backlog , along with the doctors striking. It' nothing to do with "An Ageing Population" as the gutless leftie media and civil service tell us. Add to that the cost of providing free translators.
Not semantics...the difference is huge. The EEC was a trading arrangement. The EU is a political union able to make laws that apply to all member states whether they like it or not. Socialists/remainers either can't see it or choose to ignore.
REPEAT REPEAT NHS
It is not FREE! It is paid for by the hard working people of the UK, only free for scroungers and immigrants who pay nothing into the system!
EU/EEC, semantics my friend.
The discussion was about the NHS, so do you have any comments about the NHS, that will add value?
Maggie pro trading within EEC. She resigned in 1990 and EEC did not become EU until 1993. Try and get your facts right before coming on here talking down to others. Wondering what you do/did for a living...professional wind up merchant?
Evening Donkey, Maggie was pro EU, by tge way! Beyond that you are simply scaremongering, as I highlighted to another poster today! Please do try to keep up!
STP: labour can't be trusted with the economy, nor can they be relied on to defend us. If Starmer had to press the button he'd wait first to see what the focus groups and think tanks think.
Maggie had it right: 'The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money '.
Honestly, give it a rest, it is about the NHS, not immigrants!

It is not FREE! It is paid for by the hard working people of the UK, only free for scroungers and immigrants who pay nothing into the system!
Rant over!

Yes the figure is shown every month on an RNS. But A1's posts at a glance give an insight into the long term trend of the share count which is useful for gauging the effectiveness of buyback's over the years. If A1 did not make these posts then others would have to trawl back through all the RNS's individually to collate the figures. Many on this board appreciate not having to do that through the information in A1's posts.

''Total Voting Rights''
again why?
The figure is shown every month on an RNS.

The changing of share ownership from A to B obviously involves a buyer and a seller, but the transaction is attempted to be labelled by the market as a 'buy' or 'sell' going on the price at which the shares changed hands at
TFE, really you're just going to have to bite the bullet on this one.
Labour are going to be a in power in a matter of weeks.
The current director of the Resolution Foundation, Torsten Bell, has been selected as Labour candidate for Swansea West this afternoon. He was told that Starmer’s team were desperate to have him.
Bell from the Resolution Foundation released a landmark report in December called “A New Economic Strategy for Britain“....TAKE NOTE.
Make everyone pay inheritance tax by scrapping the nil-rate band.
Raise Capital Gains Tax on shares to 37% and real estate to 53%.
Charge Capital Gains Tax on death and when moving out of the UK.
Slashing VAT registration threshold to £30,000.
Scrap business and agricultural property reliefs.
Hike basic rate of Dividend tax from 8.75% to 20%.
Charge national insurance on rental income.
Hike national insurance for higher self-employed incomes by 300% to 8%.
Cut the £270,000 cap on tax-free pensions to £40,000.
Introduce pay-per-mile road duty for electric vehicles.
Scrap the 5p cut in fuel duty. Increase fuel duty by 2% every year.
Hike vehicle excise duty for heavier cars.
At the same time Bell was arguing that ISAs should be abolished because they “work for the top“.
His underlings at the Resolution Foundation have gone on to staff high-level positions at the Office for Budget Responsibility.
Meanwhile, Reeves pledges to hand the keys to the Treasury to the OBR.
Draw your own conclusions.
Btw, labour hasn't got any policies and the idiots are talking about a manifesto, they're busy trying to get the wording right on that one. The innocence of youth, you'll learn, but by that time you will all be gone or back with yet another identity.
You can post all the link you like. Healthcare free at the point of use rationed by long queues is a stupid model. Unsurprisingly no one copies it because its possibly the worst system in the entire so called civilised world.
Bloomers, please refer to the link...
https://www.helenadollimore.com/post/helena-slams-the-government-s-poor-record-on-nhs-waiting-times
Sticky communism healthcare hasn't worked since the NHS was created. Labour aren't about to make it work after 70 years of failure.
Bloomers, I do understand your perspective.
Yes, it will be a journey into the unknown, when Labour get power.
I had the misfortune to have to attend A&E, six months ago!
What I witnessed there was unreal.
I was honestly shocked at the state of the NHS.
Labour will put that right.
That in itself, is enough to vote for Labour.
Everything else Labour bring to the party, will be a bonus.
