Honda warned last year a no deal.would cost them tens of millions of pounds and 60000 odd bits of documentation to move parts. The Japanese government warned the UK government a no deal could have serious consequences to our motor industry. It is more than obvious the current situation with Brexit has contributed significantly to Honda's decision. To deny that looks a bit transparently silly.
So JFCC
''It is more than obvious the current situation with Brexit has contributed significantly to Honda's decision''
So it appears that Honda already know we are heading for a 'no deal' ?
JFCC, why are they not moving to the EU?
"So it appears that Honda already know we are heading for a 'no deal' ?" Businesses don't manage risk based on black and white assumptions about future uncertainties which they have guessed and insist will happen in the way you do.They manage those on risk assessment of probabilities. They know a. There is significant risk of a no deal and the problems that brings b. The UK government now appears more interested in appeasing its ideologues than in business (remember johnsons "**** business" comment? ) and the offensive style this government has adopted towards Japan regarding trade talks. c. There is certainty of loss of automatic cross EU approval of cars built d. There is probable increased difficulty in recruiting skilled staff from Europe. e there is certainty of a current FTA between Japan and the EU.. and much less chance of as good an FTA between Japan and the UK in the near future.
We put up with being fobbed off, whether its a new road, railway line repair, new airport,i'm going to help the "jammers"etc.
The relationship between UK government and its people has always been one of,the people are going to be lied to,but in the last 9 years things have gradually got worse.
When Thatcher decided to rely on foreign manufacturing she knew we had to keep them sweet otherwise they would go and over the past few weeks the foreigners have decided they can't put up with it any longer.

''and insist will happen in the way you do''
I haven't insisted that any outcome will happen have I?
A clean Brexit is still the only runner currently
"I haven't insisted that any outcome will happen have I?" Yes, you have, you frequently falsely insist a no deal brexit "is the only runner" etc etc. Few people call this a clean brexit any more because it will be a mess by the way. It is a possible outcome, but not the only one.
if l was you l would take a look at u tub talks on Brexit at oxford uni
JFCC
''Yes, you have, you frequently falsely insist a no deal brexit "is the only runner" etc etc''
I have said that a 'clean Brexit' is currently the only runner many times, which is not a false statement is it?
If you think it is, then what current deal is up for grabs?
I have NEVER said that a 'clean Brexit' WIL happen, so more misrepresentation from you as usual.
You seem to have a problem with understanding plain English.
Clean Brexit STILL currently the only runner with time running out
http://daystobrexit.co.uk/
LTI "I have said that a 'clean Brexit' is currently the only runner many times, which is not a false statement is it?" If by "clean brexit" you mean "no deal", of course that is a false statement. Other outcomes are clearly possible. That is why bookies are offering odds on other outcomes which suggest no deal is less likely than the other outcomes combined. Other possibilities include a withdrawal deal, extending article 50, a second referendum.
JFCC
''Other outcomes are clearly possible.''
Why do you have a habit of implying that people have said something that they have not?
I have NOT said a 'no deal' Brexit WILL happen.
A clean Brexit STILL the only entry in the race.
JFCC
''of course that is a false statement''
Clearly it is NOT. You are pathetic. I shall repeat for you.
There is currently not a deal that has been put together to be voted on as an alternative to a 'no deal' Brexit .
LTI FTE Both your sets of posts on this subject are as as stupid as each other. There is no "race" and the process does not resemble one. Any interpretation of a "race" as an analogy has to consider a final outcome and multiple outcomes are possible. Your arguments are not even splitting hairs, they have no point meaning or sense on this subject. You disagree with each other and yourselves. And you look awfully like one and the same person. Pathetic.
Come on crowcast relax a bit. Well all be dead soon enough! Brexit isn't going to affect any of us here one way or tother. The weather is very mild and I'm thinking of mowing my lawn.
