Same thing happened with HGM earlier this year. Taken out under fair value.
I'd also recommend CAML at this stage in its cycle. $55m cash, net debt falling away, should be cash positive by June 2021, soon to announce resumption of dividend and expecting higher yield in the new year
@hash they need 75% acceptance and already have c45-50%
I see the logic behind the offer that Baimskaya won't be a popular move. Its just the strategy is wrong, Kaz should never have touched Baimskaya, they'd have been better off paying off debt and growing the dividend.
If tomorrow price will be 500 for ex. is it possible to buy and hold? Is this share still open for trading for long - short?
If you only hold 100, and are in profit, probably best to sell now & reinvest elsewhere rather than wait until mid 2021.
Well I'm lucky with this one bought a 100 at 427 and layer just 40 at 590 it will help to reduce the loss on KIER .

If you add in the average costs involved to purchase 100 shares, it'll be about 640p, so not worth buying at a higher price. My average is £8.95 so I'm on a loser here.
I'm just a tiddler (100 shares )so what's my best move ? Hang on till I'm contacted ? With the 640 offer ? And why if 640 seems a guaranteed price is it trading at only 626 ? Thanks in advance Paradrummer

i agree with you. given the current copper price this should be between 800-1000. and this has been planned a long time ago, only glad they didn't do it earlier. i guess they may have been contemplating for a long time. is there a chance this could be avoided? how much support they need for takeover?
well i am glad i resisted selling kaz earlier. i would want to sell between 800-1000 which i think what it is worth but given the market sentiment i would take 640 because . its been interesting journey with kaz.
I usually agree with what Tucson posts, but not this time. I think the fair value is at least 900p, with all risks accounted for, so the offer we've got is some 30% undervalued. And no, they could not have done this 6 months ago at 260p, as it probably took them at least 6 months to put this together, if not longer. I would bet they had this in mind since they bought Baimskya, if not before. I just wonder why would Abramovich agree to vote for this deal when he got his shares at 850p?! And all this financed by a Russian bank. I must say it smells like this was all part of a plan to overburden the company by purchasing Baimskaya and drive the price down to get it on a cheap. Honest investors have been duped by a cleverly disguised raid on KAZ by the Russians with the support of Kim and Novachok. I was giving these guys the benefit of a doubt before, but it look like Rastuss was right all along. Once a crook always a crook. And looks like Andrew Southam and so-called independent non execs are all in cahoots. Shame!
Have a look at CAML (Central Asia Metals ) with copper prices on the rise for anyone wanting to invest these funds elsewhere . Well done to you guys here .
Hey Causal, All The Best to you too mate .
All the best tuscon, and Roydon1,good health .probably better selling ,make up more in shorter time.
Morning tucson, All
Yes, it was an interesting 7 years journey, full of sweat, blood and tears with some smiles !
I now have a question :
Do we sell now, or wait to be paid ?
All The Best, and thanks to everyone who has been here , with best wishes for future investments.
To good to be true.your thoughts Rastuss prob, inside dealing.
Pity this is going private as the future looks good for it and over the recent years I’ve made enough to retire early!
It might be undervalued at 640 but it looks like you won’t get anymore! Thankfully my average is 622!

It was on Bloomberg earlier - someone has offered to buy KAZ for £6 odd a share - can't remember the exact price sorry.
