Doesn't exactly instil confidence does it - "The ongoing pandemic has led to a deterioration in some of our end markets and consequently we now expect to deliver group operating performance below market expectations"
It's doing well to stay blue tbh.
Not good.
42trader - must congratulate you on your alert at 2050... What's your latest view ?
2244 for me - it may go lower tbh
Bought at 2582. I have cash waiting for a possible top up.
Alert at 2050? Really? Technically (RSI 7,14) seriously oversold at 2700 ! Shortly back to 2800 IMO
Almost tempted to buy here at this price as it has hit the bottom of my trend line, but I've a feeling it will drop further and so have set an alert for 2050p.
Thinking of dipping a toe in here but with Palladium going off the charts how is this going to impact costs. They mentioned it at half year results and its gone up a lot from then. I would guess that is the reason for recent weakness? Any thoughts guys?
Support at 28.1 and 28.28. RSI 7 says high overselling. Monday looks like time to buy.
Treat it as a great chance to add at this level. For me Jmat at under 2900 is a bargain . Yes it could get even lower, but one has to see the long term picture. Umicore and Jmat are by far the market leaders in batteries, catalysts etc and one if not both will be a TO target sooner or later. Total was rumoured to be interested in UMI but nothing so far.
It is always confiture demain with JMAT. The CEO has been over promoted from within. The Board will come to its senses eventually.
22 November 2019
JMAT slides gracefully down to an intra-day low of 2,944p, from 3,202p four months ago. Looks like UBS were right on the button. What did they know, that we didn't?
17 July 2019
Johnson Matthey: UBS reiterates sell with a target price of 2,850p.
Can't see how the trading update deserved a 10% whack in 2 days. Has anyone got access to the UBS broker report / or can provide a brief summary? Would be much appreciated.
Don't see the sp reflecting the fall in demand and decline in new car manufacturing that is affecting UK, Europe and other parts of the world. IMO, Sp starting with 3 will appear in your rear view mirror shortly.
I would agree with that based on the recent very good results. What would worry me a bit is the debt level which has gone up a lot due to the 2 new plants they are building. Mgt did say last week during the presentation of results that maybe results wont be so good for the nest year but at this price of circa £3100 3200 i would accumulate.
At around £31.50 it now seems to be quite cheap.
Sentiment should help keep pushing it.
Good performance last week. It would be great if this was to continue this week.
Up and down like a goddam yo-yo!
You.sold.your.automotive.battery.division? WHY?
Absolutely. It's been all over the shop today though.
aminex not a patch on this beauty
A good day today! Most welcome as the other share I follow on LSE is falling through the floor (Aminex)
