Well at last the share price appears to be through 8p and slowly rising, and the market over hang appears to have been digested, long may it last. But I for one , even with my holding still under water do not want a sudden upward rerate , slow and steady will do myself.
But my prime interest in JLP has always been its green credentials , and I have been around the share since powergen. I expect in the distant future JLP to undergo a major rerate when the world realises that climate change is dictating the need for certain critical metals . And the only space the world will be able to obtain the critical metals it requires is from old mine waste dumps.
Charles! Not quite the good old Braemore days I see when JLP (jubilee platinum - previous name) bought them out. Good to see you still here though. Hope it comes good for you
In reality I think any bad news would likely have resulted in insiders selling already, so hopefully all is progressing as planned. It's just that being substantially in profit, it's very tempting to realise some of those profits! I'm not planning to add more on any drops because I don't want to average up, I'm very happy with a low average and I plan to keep it that way!
'I'm very happy with a low average and I plan to keep it that way!'
^^ Sounds like the England batting lineup circa mid to late 90's.
As everyone is saying, it's either big up or big down based on Roan news. 4.5% rise today though from nowhere when FTSE is down....is this metal prices again? Nope as Syl Plat is flat.....rise because insiders know Roan is up and working and there's an RNS coming Monday? (fingers crossed!!)
I'm just sitting and waiting. My break even was only around 7p, as I luckily sold on the way down and bought back cheaper. So now I feel like I can just relax and enjoy the ride. 😎
I see trading as too much of a risk. Lucky if it comes off, but at the same time if you get it wrong, a holding can be decimated! You’ve only got to look at spread betting and most lose their shirts only citing the successful trades. The house always wins! Short delay fluctuations do not bother me, im looking at the potential here over the next 3-5 years and see a multi multi bagger! Like Seis and many others i am sitting on hefty profits, but i feel this really has the chance to change my life and the kids. im holding firm for that.
Watched mtl do this recently all the way from 1.5p to over 5p but had no spare cash at the time.
Could this be the start of rerate 2?
Hi Mikie
Can you please tell me the latest Copper price and where you look as I just don't get the latest and I know you do
Thanks
Edzi, Bloomberg have LME at $10,424 this morning. Comex is quoted live at$501.5 per lb. Thats roughly $11k per ton equivalent. Trading economics use various sources i believe and they’re saying 5.01 perlb. Its going to be interesting to see what the LME close at. Think it will jump a tad.
Thanks Mike because I read an article yesterday in the times or telegraph where they said it was$11.400 a tonne
Comex did go there briefly.

Afp continues to defy gravity lately. Not in same league as jlp so not going to risk it at this price.
I use this site for copper and other commodity prices:
https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/copper
Copper price is in $/lb, which suits me. It just got back above $5/lb.
Great end to the week! Same again next week everyone.
Bloomberg TV continuously display copper and platinum prices across the bottom of the screen Edzi.
Good to see lots of people getting back to break even and showing profits.
Very interesting to see posters talking about taking profits - my wife asked me how and when you decide to take profits in the car this evening (she's started taking an interest again once I told her we were 100% up on JLP), she regretted it and was nodding off 20 minutes later.
****** the fantasist….but you only bought back in at 6.7 ish a couple of weeks ago, as stated by yourself so please stop posting rubbish
I'm illiterate and innumerate now. Also a fantasist. You are not a very nice person dbh.
This is my fantasy: Bought 5p sold 6p up 20% (now have 120% or 1.2x initial holding).
Bought 5.6p sold 7.5p up 34%
Bought 6.6p holding at 8.25p up 25%
Due to compounding (the most powerful creation of mankind according to Einstein) = 1.2x 1.34 x 1.25 = 2.01.
or 201% which is a doubling of the initial investment.
Now back to intelligent rational people - EDZI according to Bloomberg copper is at $10660 this morning so the profit margin has increased on our copper production by about $800 in the past week or so, no wonder the share price has reacted so well. The pgm's are helping a little too I would think.
Good morning everyone,
Yes my worst performing share is back in profit.
Kalan stop winding dbh up he will explode:)
Cmon Roan let's go.
Kalan the fantasist….sorry not been able to respond earlier but have a life. I cannot understand why a perfect investor like you is spending time on this bb. Surely you should be sailing your yacht around the Caribbean with all the profit you make. Unless of course you are only playing with your universal credit in your cupboard as the local keyboard warrior. In summary you are an individual who talks more rubbish than Jeremy Corbin and just as dangerous. Not often I speak with a professional investor like yourself ….and then I woke up !!!
