To provide shareholders with a sustainable dividend, that increases progressively in line with inflation, and to preserve the capital value of its portfolio on a real basis over the long term through the reinvestment of cash flows.

Hi, I just saw the latest video on YouTube, is there a reason why no one talks on here? The dividend seems good but I noticed the share price has been stuck in a small band for the last year except for the crash.
Morning all,
Here's a short video update with the principles Chris Tanner & Chris Holmes:

4 minute investor intro:

Here's a video from the management update regarding their latest results:

We've done a series of vids on them & will post shortly.
The results look excellent. With the expected NAV growth and Dividend growth. The dividend is covered 1.2 x which is reassuring.
The only issue I see is that our share price is ahead of NAV so (at some stage) there could be a correction is growth and/or dividend growth halt.
Once again, very slow to refund money from the scaling back. Don't count on me for the next placing JLEN.
Nice little rise today. 😁
All as expected, but one sale seems to have triggered a wave of automatic selling. Someone needs to get their software checked. Time for a top-up.
Yes, odd that. Should be ex-div around now and paid back end of June. Maybe loosing their investment manager to JLIF was pre- occupying? gl.
Would have been polite to mention the dividend while releasing a rare RNS. Sometimes I get the impression that John Laing companies can't be bothered with shareholders.
No further equity issues this month and a star performance with the sp. Seems I'm overly concerned. Let's hope it's all sustainable and the returns are good.
I can see what is happening and I can understand how it works and the effects that follow. What I don't understand is the strategy behind the transactions. Better balance sheet yes, but also more equity held so a dilution on eps. I'm a little concerned that this is to offset insufficient profit returns to allow the maintenance of a divi. short term. Anyone put me right here?
Jlen mentioned in here. Has not done quite as well as WIND in the face of recent government headwinds. However, this looks to be reflected in the current s/p. http://citywire.co.uk/money/storm-surge-lifts-wind-fund-through-market-mayhem/a884113?ref=citywire-money-latest-news-list
We should be well placed here with the climate control talks which should underpin the price.
Hence the fall.
Or maybe they just have year end....
Full year results. Hopefully nice and steady, really like this trust and hope it can become a long term hold and value return generator. Shall see :)
Great yoeld and held up well when the market dropped. I just topped up in my SIPP. Looks solid IMO
Ahead of dividend announcement.
Thanks RGM...appreciate the response...not sure how I missed that! Not a holding to get too excited about I suppose but with current market conditions it's good to know that the price should stay reasonably steady...was hoping for a better premium to NAV by now but with limited history and visibility that was probably more hope than expectation..portfolios are all about balance and hopefully this will provide a sure 6% return annually with a few percentage points in capital appreciation when the management start to find efficiencies.
Sorry not to clear: Targetted Divis will be Dec 14 and Jun 15 3p on each occassion All subject to performance. gla.
The Company will seek to provide investors with an annualised dividend of 6 pence per Ordinary Share3 and will aim to increase this dividend progressively in line with inflation. The Company’s financial year end is 31 March. Distributions on the Ordinary Shares are expected to be paid twice a year, normally in respect of the six month periods to 30 September and 31 March, and are expected to be made by way of dividends. Subject to market conditions and to the level of the Fund’s income, it is intended that distributions will be paid as dividends as follows in respect of the period from the date of this Prospectus to 31 March 2015: Targeted Ex-dividend Payment dividend Period Ending date date amount (pence)4 30 September November December 2014 2014 2014 3.0 31 March 2015 May 2015 June 2015 3.0 In respect of periods from 1 April 2015 the Company will target dividends payable in June and December each year which will be equal to the dividend paid in the previous year inflated by the increase in inflation over the year to 31 March in the preceding year.
Damn iPhone... Second part is progressing well but curious as to when the Divs might start to roll...
Anyone know when this will start paying Divs? Bought in for income and the expected push to a premium ala JLIF...second part is pr
Gone..
