First target for me is 175 but will reassess along the way as catalysts appear ; reopening, dividend reinstatement.
I have been here since July last year so decent holding period.
Q1 results out this morning.
Lower impairments than expected which will result in greater profitability than estimated.
CFO Justin to leave in July after 4 years for another opportunity in a different sector. Search for replacement underway. Ashame because he seemed very good, but people do change jobs. Hope replacement is as good.
Investors call at 9am often worth listening to.
Matthew I’ve also been holding this since the 40s. Have top sliced along the way, but still holding over 50% of the original amount.
I’m inclined to let the rest ride from here myself.
The price before COVID was 173p. Management are talking about the excellent opportunities to come in the post-COVID world. I think they could easily top 200p again.
Suppose that depends on where you draw the overbought RSI line. Last RSI peak was 79.88 which I would say is in the overbought area but if you draw the line at 80 then it was just under. Still I wouldn't sell just due to any silly RSI!
I am seeing the price fast approaching some resistance around 135-140, in fact, this was my target area when I bought it (down in the 40 and then 60 area)! Do people have any higher targets that they would like to justify? There was talk of reinstating the dividend. I am toying with the idea of continuing to hold some longer term.
Chart looks good. RSI getting up towards overbought but not there yet. Fundamentals are returning as vaccine rollouts continue.
Would recommend watching this if you are nervous...

Not sure. Looks like it’s slowly ticking up.
Could be MM’s trying to hit some stop losses.
I wouldn’t worry. Back into profitability and will be paying dividend soon.
A big drop. Anyone know why?
Thank you TTNY. The webcast was well worth listening to.
It is interesting to see IPF continuing to be blue on a day when the rest of the markets seem to be red. Must be a good sign.
Personally I have great confidence in the Bod and a great recovery in sp & dividends over the next 12 mths.
Agree.
Can strongly recommend watching the webcast for institutions & shareholders.

Very encouraging for the future. Good to see SP rise positively today!
Professional outfit and good management. Reopening play here and like the geographic diversification.
Technically above all resistance levels. If this breaks £1 and holds then we could be off to the races.
The numbers were what were to be expected tbh imho.
H2 turned profitable.
Stated Q1 new FY better than Q4 last year so continued I.proved direction.
No final dividend this year which was expected. Would be reckless to introduce at this time. However clear statement about introducing progressive dividends.
There 4 pillar strategical goals. First two completed.
Our strategic goals
Phase 1 - H1 2020: Completed
Protect our people, prioritise loyal customers and protect the business
Phase 2 - H2 2020: Completed
Rightsize the business to accelerate recovery and refinance the balance sheet
Phase 3 - 2021: Underway
Rebuild the business
Phase 4 - 2022+
Deliver long-term, sustainable growth
So this year focusing on increasing lending as we come out of this pandemic which is starting to occur now and increasing from now to Summer. Then delivering sustainable growth going forward.
2021 expected to be profitable and setting up for year on year growth going forward. I think no interim dividend will be announced this year but think there will be a final dividend announced a year from now in final results for 2021.
If you get a chance listen to webcast at 9 very interesting and shows strength of our board IMHO. Q&A at end always interesting. For example, I am interested to see how they plan to grow book this year what is their target %.

Returned to profit in the second half of the year, which was encouraging.
Obviously, the numbers were a bit of a bloodbath - but that was to be expected. NAV looked to have fallen by only 15% or so, which I consider to be a decent effort.
Future looks considerably better - so I see no reason to sell.
I'll stick my neck out and predict a blue day!
Finals out on Weds. This stock historically always jumps on its results. Should see a nice move tomorrow
Results due on 3rd March
No more monthly updates - that was due to covid. Results due 3rd march
Noticed an 8.6% rise on Friday to 90p buy price. With rises on previous days this week. Wonder if for any specific reasons such as institutional investors buying for recovery or other reasons such as confidence fue to vaccine recovery and return to normality from Spring to Summer which is not long away.
Think at some point in 2021 can see this strongly rise and stay above 100p as we surge to 175 to 200p levels.
Obviously the main downside threat is any new regulatory limits such as being extended in Poland for a longer period to end of year.
The fundamentals of this company, except this year, look excellent to me. I’m assuming in a year or so things will be back to normal. I’d like to go big in them but lack of YoY growth over the last five years tells me they’re stagnant.
I think the business is doing quite well but it is torpedoued by various changes regarding rules for parabanki, especially in Poland. Still thera are 3 main reasons for optimistic scenario
1. Smaller parabanki will suffer more than IPF - > more Space for bigger player like IPF
2. Large number of bank clients will not sustain bank requirements and swap banks for parabanks like ipf
3. Mexico..A big unknown. It may be the turning point with upscaling to previously unknown levels of profitability but if not succesful it would damp the price for a long time
Overall there are hudge chances for strong longterm upward trend and minimal chances for stagnation. Negative scenario like allmost impossible.
Does anybody know when and if at all they are going to present something in the coming days. Several of monthly udates were between 13-18th
***Tumbleweed!!***
I'm a small sh in IPF but looking to go big after the next results are announced.
One thing that worries me is the lack of growth in revenue and profit in the last 5 FY (prior to FY2020 which we know will be bad). This suggests lack lustre management to me who aren't growing the business. Any thoughts?
Agree, I was lucky to get into a lot of stocks when low and I’ve been booking profits, coming out of covid I want a real difference to my portfolio and not just been there and lost the lot. Santa rally next week if Brexit has positive vibes this weekend and then into jan, mid January to feb as more covid reality bites and economic destruction I think it will all correct again as we see years ahead before solid paying divis appear, best will in the world full blown divi policies are way off unless your in mining !!! Gla
I need to remind myself always book profits, but then I say to myself think long run ????? Ohhh such a hit n miss area guess £1 looks a big barrier to cross.
