Durango,let's hope so
I was just reading that Tango prior to your posting. Hopefully there wont be any decision delays with this new appointment. Would have liked to have seen someone from a more industrial background appointed.
I wonder what effect this will have on INFA https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-55588750
Great post and idea .. sorted .. it took 20 mins and addressed the need for employment at Larne and Belfast, for security of energy supply and, most importantly, the fact that all our extensive surveys and tests have shown that we are well within limits for preserving ecological standards and concerns!!! The more the better !!
The DAERA Marine License consultation closes on 13th January 2021. They are inviting opinions from the general public on this, their wording being :-
- - - - -
' The competent authority (The Department) considers it appropriate to obtain the opinion of the general public and this project is being advertised under Regulation 43(4) of The Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 ' .
I would imagine the individuals / parties who have previously registered their letters of objection to this project will be doing the same again with this renewed consultation. I've indeed seen social media posts where this is being actively encouraged.
This DAERA consultation however is for the purpose of ALL members of the public to express their thoughts and opinions, NOT JUST for those objecting to the project. My point is that anyone who is in support of this Islandmagee project from Infrastrata now has an opportunity to register with DAERA their thoughts on why this marine license is required and the benefits it can provide, ie to the local community, economic benefits, security of future energy supplies, etc.
Personally, I'm going to compose an email over the weekend and forward to DAERA in support of this project and detailing my reasons of support. This email will be from me as an individual and as someone who lives and works in N Ireland and the UK, and someone who wants the benefits for himself and his family that this project can provide in the coming years.
I'm not saying my letter will make any difference at all, but it'll only cost me 15 minutes of time this weekend and it'll maybe go towards balancing out the numbers of objection Vs support responses that DAERA will be receiving.
I've popped the link below if anyone else may be interested in offering up their opinions to DAERA in this consultation.

Don’t forget .....Any extra shares applied for are likely to be scaled back pro rata .. I use II too and the adjustment (if any!) will be shown when the payment schedule is announced and you will then have to have the appropriate amount in the account .. judging by all the positive comments on this board and from my own contacts the rather minuscule amount of our offer is likely to be well oversubscribed—-we shall soon see though I could be wrong if Covid negativity affects !!!
Bobby ,thanks for info/link

Tango1 In relation to your 07.42 the deadline for holding the AGM is by the end of the month but the deadline for filing the accounts has been extended by three months. This means that due to the delay in finalising the accounts it would not be able to lay the accounts at the AGM. I am not sure what the legal position would have been if the AGM was delayed I doubt that AIM would have done anything but INFA are rightly being cautious.
seems a bit strange, when they can just have the one meeting in February, must be an ulterior motive.
I see that we have the Notice of the AGM and that separately there will be another meeting to lay the accounts. If my maths is right which is unlikely as it requires me to backward count I make it that the accounts will be coming on or around the 23 January to allow for the 21 days notice. This also means that there would have been three meetings in a little over a month.
Cheers Speedy. Looks like I was getting excited for nothing. Sorry folks . I should have done a bit more research before posting.
The article is speaking in the past tense- looks like it is an old photo but only recently uploaded. Good photo though!
I have absolutely no idea whatsoever Stokey. I'd never even heard of concrete jackets before i came across the McAvoy's post.
Reading the Facebook comments on their post though, a guy has asked what they are and another has said they're used for the bases of wind turbines to be set on when they come off the boats.
Who knows, lol ? Hopefully someone on the board here with more knowledge than us pair might be able to shed some light on what these are. The bottom line is that 3 to 4 weeks ago H & W put them in with something in mind, and my wee mind here is curious.
ThisTimeNextYeer In relation to your 18.53 apart from costructing some of those big wurley things what other uses would there be for 16 concrete jackets.
I've just came across this post on Facebook from McAvoys (an engineering contractor in N Ireland). The post is about 3 weeks old but tells us they're installing 16 concrete jackets.
Could the big wurleys be coming soon I wonder ?

Just seen this tweet I wonder if there will a response. Probably not for at least 45 mins.
I too have applied for more than allotment. The share price seems remarkably stable. I see it as, either the issuing house is keeping the shares up to encourage additional uptake...or, they are holding it down so they don't look like they priced it too cheap....hope its the latter
