Any prospects for this share? Bought at 1.14. Hoping for a bounce ??
Any other bulls started sniffing around this corpse?
Small net debt, 0.5x tangible equity.
Div has been cut to zero, and probably no profit for next 2 years so now just waiting for asset write down.
Cash flows historically better than earnings.
Anyone think this is worth zero? Think continuing price falls are longs trying to cut losses after massive pain.
Should have listened to Questor in DT. He advised get rid when IG went to the USA seems he knew better than the B of D. Silly me lost a packet. Will they ever recover ?
It seems to me that there are two big “delivery” issues at the moment. As we know container costs are about five times what they were a year ago – no one expects that to improve for months yet, but by and large costs seem to be getting passed on. Then there is port congestion in the US with ships stacked up so getting goods out is still a problem. CNY approaches and that should help with this. But we also have inflation getting worse in the US – that could impact on sales and be a more serious issue longer term. What we need is some serious Director buys. I don’t think we are in a close period so the TU clears the path ….maybe.
Directors have been selling in some volume for some time ,including Hedlund, although I agree that the fall seems overdone & a family buy out is possible , not doubt followed by a trade sale in a year or two when all has improved.
Why would any II's have triggered a sell ? are you suggesting they use stop losses ? I would suggest otherwise - it would be unwise to put a stop loss on big positions relative to market size and I'd be prepared to bet that II's never use them.
Not saying the the IIs haven't been selling today but total volume (buys and sells) is only about 1.3% so I don't expect to see any major change in the holdings after today.
Having said that, both Polar Capital and Octopus increased their holdings in November after the interims and must be feeling pretty annoyed - with either themselves or possibly the BOD. Despite supply chain headwinds being flagged in the Interim report they clearly didn't see this drop coming. That suggests to me that this is overdone. It might take some time to effect meaningful changes in the supply chain but when they do and the global situation (containers etc) eases somewhat then this will look like a bargain. IMO.
I would expect Hedlund family to be buying shares at this low price to increase their 22.58% stake in the company. 73 mil shares after 24% not in public hands, but II's hold 32%. One or more must've automatically triggered a sell as the price plummeted.
Equally it could bounce.
Wow, nearly £120M wiped off the market cap this morning. Crazy..Wonder if BoD see's value and buys shares.. would inspire confidence, that they see value and direction.
Who knows - but looks highly likely.
Will this share price go below 100p today?
Read recently that in some cases, IGR was paying more to transport a container than the value of the goods in the container. Surely that cannot be sustainable.
Sorry mate, sounds a bit confusing, what I meant to say that stop losses that were say triggered, in let's say the £2 area will be only reported as they're filled by buyers in lows, as in the £1.20 area and after CoB. Then you have the traders to contend with as well.
So that 100K sell that shows up with no effect on the SP is because it's been worked out as people buy in the lows.
Bladey - I'm not sure I follow your logic when you say "it sold into rise from stop losses"
The stop losses would also be sells so how do you see this causing a rise ??
Well in some cases it does help you, but every case supports in own merits in that regard. It probably protected those in IGR this morning.
I am in to few AIM's shares, but never set stop/loss
Prob because it's sold into rise from stop losses, can you imagine the stop losses triggered as it fell.
I’m surprised how someone can sell 100,000 shares without lowering the share price into fresh 52 week lows.
The amount of stop losses triggered on that fall will be incredible, and I believe still not factored in as I look at the short term chart. This could fall a little further. This is how the drops hop over the fall.
Supply chain issues should start to ease this year, seems a tad overdone to me (the drop), my only scepticism is the negative sentiment of the board and the fact the CEO sold out..
Take a look at todays rns
why is this fall?
Me too, doing all the calculations.
Thinking of buying some
