EV, you do what you like pal, just because everyone on here (and probably in real life) thinks you are a complete D!ck, doesn't mean the sooner or later your ill-informed guesses wont be correct.
I do assume that if the results do not go the way you think they will, you will miraculously have just bought in at the correct time - that way we can continue to benefit from your profound wisdom. If it warwick West is indeed a duster, please make sure you remind everyone how very clever you think you are that way the posters on here that think you are a clueless womble, may change their minds - although I doubt it.
Beerbull
You seem to assume that all posters are either investors, or potential investors.
Think outside the box.
Vessel, the small window of opportunity is closing , you maybe able to get back onboard Monday morning, but IMO this is the week we will know if WW is likely to be a success (assuming no unforeseen hiccups). If that’s the case as I believe ,there will be a substantial jump in the sp, but please don’t start calling it down afterwards, because you missed out on an open goal.
Either put up or shut up. These cryptic messages that mean nothing to anyone but you are as much use a tits on a fish.
EV.
" POSITIVE NEWS + NEGATIVE NEWS ODDS- 2/1 "
Just for interest sake, what are you regarding as positive and what negative?
SG2 you may have mistaken the target.
You'd need some balls to use a Swan Vesta
bit severe, Cebo - even a bum WW hole wouldn't justify blowing lumps off the CEO........(!)
gla
You have it chablard; the dump was insider trading, without doubt.
Be interesting to see the vols in the next few days.......

"True. But even then, no matter how many they are 'in the know', it would require them to work in concertation together "
This was the whole point of my post adult.
If you are sat in an office with several others and you have decided that Hurricane is a great story so you have invested your cash . Then you hear results aren't what you were hoping for or expecting, I suggest you would be very tempted to send ones partner (pc) a wee text saying dump the lot.
And don't say it doesn't happen. It does and it did.
All imo of course
or Shot gun cartridges. :-)
I find the movements of the two supply boats quite interesting. We know the weather's now OK, but other things are going on as well.

Aye supply boats carry anything and everything......
even Swan Vesta
MTcup,
(don't know why I'm still replying to your posts, but I will)
"Curiously one of the biggest SP drops of 5% was on the Friday before the WD results, millions of shares were dumped and then the SP bombed on the Monday, would a dude from the vessel or driller be responsible for telling his mates some information, that's hardly believable"
In that you're correct. On a rig, there are very few people who understand the 'full picture' of the well in progress. Plus there's another thing. One can 'clamp down' on (or at least limit the contents of) communications from the rig, but the idea of the Driller phoning some stockbroker to tell him what's happening is quite frankly absurd and laughable. Enough to 'move the market'? No way.
Equally, though, it's downright impossible to stop any 'oilman' talking about his work, even at polite dinner parties. (On the rare occasions that people like Drillers attend such things.) But saying things like 'we've seen oil at the shakers' doesn't move the stockmarket.
No, 'street scuttlebutt' is just useful for people who truly understand the lingo to get an impression of what's going on. And even then, and even if the information one gets might seem contradictory, one can make the wrong call, like I did with WD.
Also, Chablard says
"Worth remembering that there are quite a few persons that work in the Aberdeen offices, both for Bluewater and Spirit etc. I would imagine that between them they hold a substantial number of shares."
True. But even then, no matter how many they are 'in the know', it would require them to work in concertation together with a fixed motive to move the SP. And be working through a broker who would transfer their orders to an 'Auto' system, because it's the 'A' trades which 'fix' the price, moment-by-moment. That scenario doesn't hold water. Plus also, such people are supposed to be at their desks, working, not spending their time calling their brokers!
Nope, I'm convinced that that particular SP happening didn't result from some street rumour.
SotB,
"Nothing confidential in the last RNS it clearly states testing soon......of course soon in the oil industry means just that and sometimes more."
Utterly agree. When one's in the 'hot seat' at the 'sharp end' of things, the worst questions one can be asked are things like 'when will that happen?', ' how long will that take?', and so on. One can plan, maybe have estimates, but that's all. Plus also one has to grit one's teeth and refrain from uttering profanities, because one knows that anyone asking such things is soft in the head. Because in every step of any oilfield operation, even when it's maybe been done a million times before, what you're doing is the millionth-and-one, and you can't be sure it'll work out like the other times.
I find the movements of the two supply boats quite interesting. We know the weather's now OK, but other things are going on as well.
And don't ask me what, 'cos I don't know.
The Company notes the media speculation regarding the Warwick West well. The well is due to commence testing soon. The timing of testing is weather dependent. As such it is far too early to make any conclusions as to the success of the Warwick West well.

YEAH, NO ONE CAN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THAT BIG FICKING FLARE!
MONDAY WILL BE FLAREDAY HAHAHAHAHA………………
No scalping here..I'm bald as a coot! I'm holding strong come what may. I've not put up with all the crap to bail out now. Que Serra Serra! Bring it on! Btw I did pick up on a question regarding 'Last train to San Fernando' Just a bit of fun really although I do believe that at these prices, which were sub 42p, we are quite likely not to see many occasions where we are at those levels again. As the song goes 'If you miss this one you'll never get another one' Let's hope for a positive outcome. Atb Rich
Worth remembering that there are quite a few persons that work in the Aberdeen offices, both for Bluewater and Spirit etc. I would imagine that between them they hold a substantial number of shares.
Ha I was thinking more it was The Diver or Diva or whatever his name was?
Have they been seen in the same room together before?
Wellwell - must have been Makinhay scalping off some of his holdings......
Is SIPP is a high level operator then?
Any such insider information would also have to be delivered to someone high up in the food chain with power over a lot of shares if the 5% drop before WD result was in fact a tip off.
adoubleuk
Given the rumour last week they have probably had that reminder rammed home.
LS,
"As non oiler - how is secrecy maintained on a rig?"
With great difficulty.
"Do all staff AND 3rd parties have to sign a NDA?"
Essentially, yes. It's the sort of clause included in the employment contract of anyone that works in the field. But hard to enforce in practical terms. I'd guess that in this case, anyone involved in the project is verbally reminded of such a clause on a regular basis, with the threat of summary dismissal from their job if a 'leak' is traced back to them. Or something like that. Nevertheless, it's a big operation, with hundreds of people involved, even if only in a peripheral role. I find the scarcity of 'street scuttlebutt' to be gleaned rather surprising!
